vmax Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Back up RB is the big position I'll be watching Thursday night. I want one of the Ravens players to win it. I'm tired of recycling ageing backs. all these guys should be able to run with Leach leading the way. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 I agree. But if they do go vet Benson is the best fit. Quote
vmax Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I agree. But if they do go vet Benson is the best fit. Yea...he's the best of that lot and best fit....let's hope we see something from these RB tomorrow night. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Benson is a quitter.. why aint he with the bengals? Quote
yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Benson is a quitter.. why aint he with the bengals? Exactly. The guy thinks he is waaaaaay better than he really is. Ill pass. He doesnt play football like a Raven. Quote
BengalBilly Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You guys have a long history of signing our cast offs. Why should this be any different? Quote
FlaccoForever Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You guys have a long history of signing our cast offs. Why should this be any different? It's more like they come running to an organization that's about winning. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You guys have a long history of signing our cast offs. Why should this be any different? Difference here Billy, you all call them castoffs, thats because your orginization has the eye for talent compared to a rock..Lets start with Justin Smith, then you castaway Willie Anderson, who still had 2 good years in him...Remember, back when when we won the SB, and you lured Kim Herring away with the big contract? I think we recd a 6th round draft pick as comp because he stunk so bad.. Quote
yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 With the amount of castoffs the Bengals have had over their history I'm sure every team in the league has signed a Bengal or two. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Note about Benson: He was recently on the Afternoon Blitz with Adam Schein on Sirius XM NFL Radio. Benson admitted himself there is NO interest by any team. He said the Jets showed a little interest after the draft but nothing since. Benson actually broke down close to tears about it. Additionally Benson said he would NOT accept the vet minimum. Adam Schein told Benson he was crazy right to his face. Benson is a head case. Quote
yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Sounds like a steal, how do we get him! lol lol lol lol Quote
cravnravn Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would have sworn Pops wanted Leon here too.. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 I find it funny that the guy who has been the Raven killer doesn't play like a Raven. Even when Cincy has blwon he has been able to get his yds. I don't get why there is no interest in him. He is better than what the Jets have. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 His attitude Pops, who wants that, hes Leon III, no locker room wants that type of me me me attitude..Let him go to Seattle and team up with Leon.. Quote
yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 He quits when things don't go his way. He's about him and his yards. Not about the team. Benson is not interested helping an offense succeed unless it includes him getting carries whether he's successful or not. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Pops you keep referring to Benson as a Ravens Killer.. 2011 2 games 28 rushes for 92 yards 2010 2 games 44 rushes for 131 yards 2009 2 games 61 rushes for 237 yards 2008 1 game 10 rushes for 17 yards. Now please explain to us how he is a Ravens Killer 143 rushes for 477 yards is hardly a Ravens killer Quote

Then I noticed, those are two game combined stats! Hardly takes your breath away. Quote

yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Looks more like 2009 was the only good year. Try again. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 What else do you see down there? Quote
yagersports Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Nice try, in 2009 was the only year he averaged more than 100 yds against the Ravens. Try again. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Ok but he gets the hard yds that keeps that clock moving. Quote
