varaven45 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Is it just me or is this team afraid to convert a 3rd and 1 via the run. Also, is scoring a TD in the red zone in preseason akin to capturing the holy grail.Wow !
deeshopper Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Well, that was a nice throw and catch to Smith there.
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The Ravens look like the team with the superior talent---but, they're just not clicking on 3rd downs.
deeshopper Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 I really dislike the local announcing team.
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Flacco is really sharp on the short and intermediate passes.
varaven45 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 We just found the holy grail ! Good googly moogly
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Flacco to Boldin TD!!! Flacco is really clicking with No 82 Torrey Smith. It actually reminds me a bit of the old Unitas to Berry days!
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Jacoby Jones gives me a good feeling on punt returns.
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 If I'm not mistaken, the Jags had a top 10 defense last year.
deeshopper Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 I like the audibles. The OL just has to keep up.
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The last 2 plays of the 1st half were ugly. BUT, I'm more than happy with the first half performance against a tough D and our defense held up. Jacksonville had the 6th best defense in the NFL last year.
OutsideRzAcE Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I'm--thinking--we--have-to--keep--Tucker. I agree, I was a Cundiff supporter coming into camp but Tucker has outplayed him.
yagersports Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I would have to be a Tucker supporter as well.
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Tucker is simply too exceptional to pass up. I hope Harbs sees it that way too. The first team offense was very good. The defense was good and very good when it had to be. Good game.
yagersports Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Is LaQuann locking up that number 3 spot? I'm not watching the game but I see he just had two big catches.

The defense was good and very good when it had to be. Good game. I think Harbs goes with the clear winner of the competition. Harbs has proven in the past that he does not play favorites when it comes to picking kickers out of camp - he gives it to the guy who earns it. Cundiff was the benefactor of this a few years ago when he was the underdog and Shane Graham was the pre-camp favorite.
OutsideRzAcE Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I am watching the Jaguars feed online. Down 34-3 they just did the play of the game and it was one of their linemen sacking Joe in the first quarter. Too funny.
papasmurfbell Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I missed most of the first half. So I can't give a full eval. Joe looked very good. Rainey was great. Laquan looked very good. Thompson was very impressing. Taylor looked real solid. Peirce looked real solid as the backup. Berry looked good too I think Allen might be done. The Kick coverage sucked. They give up way to many yards. Trying to remember other info.
papasmurfbell Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Looking at the stats. The run D blew. Joke team gets that many yds. Imagine MJD was there.
