cravnravn Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Nice, watch they're going to play and screw around and wham..Its week 1 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 That might be a contract they will learn to regret. I didn't notice at the time how old he was. I am suprised they didn't send him on his way. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 It was a good deal since that deal he has been defensive player of the year and in the discussion two other times. he had a down year last year with only 9 sacks but he broke his orbital bone and that has nothing to do with age. When you look at his total stats and he is probably the best or at one time the best olb. His total tackles are amazing he had had more solo tackles then most olbs had combined. This will be his last year with the steelers he is making 9 this year and is somewhere in that range next but none of it will be dead money. He had the surgery this morning and from what im hearing two weeks he will be a full go. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 There are 3 more yrs on that deal. If they get real good production for 2 more it was a good deal. He he turns gimp this yr it was a poor deal. these guys can be great one yr and crap the next. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Oops left out the part of him getting cut or traded next year Quote
