WITH THE KO Rookie guard/tackle Kelechi Osemele has shown that he has a mean streak to go along with his physical attributes. During individual drills, he drove undrafted rookie nose tackle Ishmaa’ily Kitchen to the ground and then finished the block with a knee to Kitchen’s back. The move drew some catcalls from the other defensive linemen. The Ravens have not had an OL with a good mean streak in a while. Just thinking back Zues when he was first here was the last time the Ravens had a real badass on the line. While Yanda while a tough nosed guy he seems to be a real good dude. So this could be a really solid OL makeup. Quote
vmax Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Yea...2003 with Zeus, those were some road grading, mean MoFo's. That's what Harbaugh and Ozzie want...nasty, physical football. They want to wear you down and beat you to death in the 4th quarter. That's why the offense has been the way it's been...they believe in running and pounding. Oher was nasty his rookie year and then I haven't seem it since. So...we know he can be...Yanda for sure...KO...and McKinnie just wears DE's down. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 The zone blocking doesn't make for road grading. I think that is where they should go for the blocking scheme. But a little knee to the gut on standing up. Keep it small and allow the defender to overreact. The initial pop you get away with. The 2nd guy always gets caught. Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 You gotta be smart and driving a knee into someones back is dirty and 15 yards. Kemo was mean as hell but also stupid as hell. personally i worry about colon at guard he is mean and nasty but has been involved in like three fights at camp Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 Not saying being stupid just taking some edgy shots from time to time. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Seems like Gino has been involved in a couple of scuffles so far, he needs to transfer some of that energy to GameDay!! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Listening to 105.7 last night they were saying Gino is getting his ass kicked to much on the field. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Thats not good, hope to hell I can find the game tomorrow night.. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 LMAO he started the fight with Jones/?? no wonder he got his ass kicked. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 They were saying during plays he was getting pushed around. Quote
FlaccoForever Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 They were saying during plays he was getting pushed around. He's a rookie center going against the Ravens Dline, the Ravens Dline. Why people expect a rookie center from Delaware to be great in year one is beyond me, didn't you guys learn your lesson when some of you probably gave up on Torrey Smith last summer? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 I never expected him to be the guy this yr. Others have. Quote
