  1. Oh that's right, they have to do it by May 2nd, this year!
  2. Yeah, if they pick up his 5th year option, they are on the hook for $25 million, other wise it is either extend him or cut him. That is the tricky part.
  3. If not for the 5th year option, it would be a great, cheap move. But how do you judge if either is a long term solution or if Fields is the "heir apparent" after sitting for a year?
  4. It was a good gamble by the Steelers, Wilson only has a year or two left in good play. Fields, can learn under him, maybe, if he can learn how to read defenses, his biggest issue, then he should become a decent qb. The issue the Steelers have is that both qbs are on one year deals essentially, if Fields doesn't play, how do you work out a contract for him going forward?
  5. What a steal, a 6th round pick that could become a 4th. Real nice pick up
  6. My concern with him is his back. He has missed a lot of time because of it, Full games, half games. When healthy he is a great slot receiver who knows how to get open and has great hands. But there are the key words, when healthy.
  7. They added a void year next year, an "out".
  8. So Stanely's deal opened up $9.5 mil in cap space and, essentially makes him a free agent next year, with a void year added in for next, 2025, year. So between Bowser, Moses and Stanley, they opened up what, $20 mil in cap space.
  9. If Fuqga was there at 30, that would be a steal, Worthy would be a waste, a body catcher for the most part and Lamar has yet to show that he can be accurate deep down field to take advantage of speed receivers.
  10. That is a good signing, though only a 1 year deal. Maybe now he will shut up about getting touches and being always open. If he can't put numbers up there, it's on him
  11. I was on the fence about his signing, one day excited, another, meh. Reworking his deal in January to get rid of the void years shows us what happens when you play with fire, you get burned.
  12. Obj officially released, post June 1.Per Sports Illustrated
  13. Well, maybe they feel the big fella is ready to step up?
