Just saw the highlights - I love it! Up by 6 with 2 minutes to go, Pats go for it on 4th and 2 from their own 30 yard line to seal the game and they don't make it! Well....even sweeter is that they do make it, but the ref gives them a bad spot and they can't review it because they are out of time outs! So Bellichek's ego and a bad call costs New England a game they should have wrapped up in the first half. That is beautiful.

Great to see the Steelers lose!

Benson is not coming back. The Bengals have no offense going whatsover. The Steelers will win this
-
That's bizarre - Nance and Simms are doing it so I figured it would be nationally televised. Polamalu is out with a reaggrevation of his sprained knee. Benson has a strained hip but is playing through it so far. Bengals haven't been getting shit going on offense.
-
That's funny. I like the little N*sync moves at the end
-
yea I'm with everyone else - I'm rooting for Cinci. Bengals have a realtively easy schedule the rest of the way and there is no way we will overtake them. That aside, I love to see the Steelers lose - it's my second favorite result after a Ravens win.

You never know...we had trouble with the Colts when our Defense was playing well - wouldn't it be ironic if this group of under-performers shut down Peyton and co? As for the Browns game - I was a little worried when there was a chance that Derrick Anderson would start. I know he's had an abysmal season but between him and Quinn, I think he had the best chance of moving the ball on us

Ok, first the retire a Raven thing then this? Why haven't they cut him?
-
I'll be a witness..i've heard you talk about this before! Boo Jamison, liar lair, Booo!

I just looked at his stat sheet. He is a career 78% kicker and is 0-3 this season from 40-49 yards, 1-2 for 30-39 yards. Clearly he is not a better option than Hashucka and I dont think they had any intention of signing him or Cundiff (also poor career numbers). Kickers have to be able to handle the pressure so they are turning it up to see how he responds. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7223 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6154

Harbaugh says Ed just had a bad game, and though the neck is a factor, it's as good as it's been in two years: "I think he's tackled very well this year, up until this game," Harbaugh said at his weekly news conference Monday. "Obviously, the hit against Denver was as good a tackle as you're ever going to see. From my understanding, the neck is as good as it's been in two years, but I think it's a factor. But it's not a dangerous type thing where he's at risk, or he wouldn't be playing." link

Yea I get that he doesn't want to throw players under the bus, i'm just worried that his downplaying of problems in the media is an indication of what's going on behind the scenes - that he's unable or unwilling to confront players about their shortcomings and push them to improve. I do like what he said in his monday press conference - There was more accountability and it definitely had a theme of "we need to get better."
-
I sure hope Harbaugh is holding our guys accountable for their mistakes behind the scenes, because whenever he's asked about a perceived deficiency or problem when he's behind the mike, he usually makes an excuse or downplays the deficiency. I watched his press conference after the game. Someone asks him about the tackling problems and his response is pretty much that Benson is a strong back, it's not as big a problem as the reporter is insinuating, and the Ravens offense breaks some tackles too. What? Are you serious Harbaugh? Maybe it's ok for the Eagles to tackle like shit, but this is the Ravens and WE DON'T MISS TACKLES!!! He should be sitting his defense down and jumping their shit this week for all the yards they gave up after initial contact and instead i'm betting it won't even be addressed. You think Mattison is going to do it? He's in a position where his players know more about what plays to call than he does! After the first Cinci game, Harbaugh was asked about the poor secondary and he said ". I think our coverage, overall, even though we’ve had some plays against us, our coverage overall has been really good, it’s been really aggressive. There’s been a penalty here, they make a play there, all that stuff happens, but we’re not changing the way we’re playing." Guess what? We've played 3 games since then and our coverage is still just as piss poor as it's always been! If you don't address a problem and instead try to explain it away, then the problem will not get fixed. The Rust Bucket have this second round pick receiver, Limus Sweed. He's tall, fast and is the complete package physically. You might remember in the AFC Championship game he was wide open and dropped a deep ball from Roethlisberger that would have clinched the game way earlier than Polamalu's interception. Against Cincinatti, Sweed did it again and it cost the Steelers the game. In his next press conference, Tomlin was asked about it and he said something to the effect of: "[sweed's drops] are something that do concern me and if he gets an opportunity like that he better not miss it again." Then he dropped the guy to 4th string. THAT's how you hold people accountable Harbaugh...take notice.

Course I say he was on his last leg and I just saw the old man is 6 for 6 this year.
-
Stover is not the answer. He was on his last leg and his range and accuracy was diminishing year after year. I believe Harbaugh made the right call to get a new kicker, just doesn't look like we choose the right one.

Chicago doesn't have Ed Reed. We had no offense in the first game and almost won primarily because Reed picked off Palmer for 6. The Bengals almost lost (and really should have lose) a game they completely dominated because they gave up a defensive score. Marvin wasn't going to let it happen again.
-
We definitely need help at receiver. It seems that since the first Cinci game our offensive philosophy has been to dump the ball to Rice and hope he makes a play. Everyone needs to do better. Cam, Joe, Mase and Mark...well, everyone except Ray Rice.
-
DC, let's not fool ourselves. The Ravens defense didn't magically figure out the Bengals after they gave up points on their first three posessions. Cinci completely dialed back the offense - they had a healthy cushion and we weren't moving the ball - at that point there was no reason for Cinci to keep being aggressive offensively and risk letting the Ravens back in the game with a defensive score. They ran Benson more and threw less. I have no doubt that if we would have put up 20 they would have put up 34. They completely had their way with the Ravens - the 17 points is a mirage. The offense was bad, but the defense was just as much a joke today - poor tackling, no discipline - pathetic. You were right about this being a test for Mattison and he failed miserably. I mean - rushing three on that first Bengals touchdown - are you serious? What made him think our terrible secondary that has been getting it's ass handed to it all season could all of a sudden cover what is arguably the deepest receiving corps in the league - with an unhurried Carson Palmer throwing to them! That defensive play call was so beyond ridiculous and it's a perfect example that Mattison does not get it!
-
I can't believe how terrible our Oline is playing. With Odom out and Gaither in we should be doing better than game 1 but instead they look confused and lethargic.
-
Bengals got away with an offsides there.
-
Ok offense seriously...let's go
-
OH MY GOD WE KEEP MISSING E$%$#%#$%# TACKLES!
-
Mark Clayton..never gets separation.
-
lol....he needs to be gone. Dont even waste another season with him.
