  1. I was thinking the same thing on the Marlon Brown pass. Why didn't he lay out for it? I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say his body wasn't in position but *shrug*. The newcomers (smith Sr and Daniels) seem to be the only ones making that extra effort. Jacoby has aligator armed it this season, torrey always seems to make half hearted efforts, and then you have marlon brown today.
  2. Agreed - the Ravens D is getting more credit than they deserve in general these days. If you have TY Hilton and/or Reggie Wayne in fantasy then start them
  3. The problem is Ray criticizes others but pretends like he was never in trouble. It's always awkward on that set when he speaks on another player's disciplinary issues
  4. Rather than firing someone for a coverup that he pretty much orchestrated, Bisicotti needs to own up to everything and impose some kind of self punishment on his organization (if you can do that) for the embarrasment caused to the organization, fans, and the league. Pay a $500,000 fine and forfeit next year's first rounder. I don't think it needs to go further than that.
  5. I think that is how organizations work (the head guy pegging a fall guy) when there isn't so much evidence of the head guys involvement. In order words, before this report came out Bisciotti could possibly have pegged Cass as a fall guy, but now everyone knows he had even more involvement in the cover up. I agree with Force - I think Ozzie could leave of his own free will. The fact that he wouldn't tow the company line about Rice's lying and by doing so effectively hurt Bisciotti and Goddell hints at the possibility that he and Bisciotti could be butting heads.
  6. Oy..this guy is the offensive version of Ellerbe, always hurt.
  7. I don't know guys. I'm not sure how Bisciotti can fire anyone when he looks the worst in this.
  8. On the positive side, the anticipation is killing me for the next Byrne Identity!
  9. Goddell will be fired. I never thought it would happen or believed it would happen until hearing about this story yesterday and reading it today. Once Goddell is fired the new commish will come in and we will get fined and lose draft picks. From the first time Ray was cut I thought this was BS. Why stand behind Ray and cut him just because a video came out showing what we already knew to be true. Some of us asked "what changed?" It sounds over simplistic but bowing to public pressure and doing a 180 so fast after that video came out was so "Un-Raven like". We stood behind Ray, we stood behind Jamal. We have cut people for bad character, not a bad mistake. As for Bisciotti, it started looking bad for him right after he and Newsome contradicted each other about Ray telling the truth from the start. Still, I never imagined he would be this devious, complicit, snake-like. Very sad day for me. Harbs looks good in this. Rice looks good in this (in terms of handling the aftermath). Bisciotti and Cass look like snakes.
  10. uni-watch? LOL
  11. I've been wondering about that too. I'm not sure how effective he's been in the run defense because I haven't watched that closely, but I know he's not getting to the QB. The helmet was smart and I like him thinking outside the box to rally the team (although I'm sure he didn't mind a little self promotion). Hopefully Suggs still has something left in the tank.
  12. It's a relief to see that offense rolling. The Oline looks fantastic. I'm very impressed with Kubiak - if he is the one to finally get us a consistent, productive offense (one that doesn't just rely on Flacco being able to be accurate on a 50 yard bomb) then we are in for a great ride.
  13. Am I the only one who thinks the Ravens overreacted by cutting Rice? They should have hunkered down and weathered the storm like they have so far. Of course I understand they have a larger corporate image to protect and I'm in no way saying he DESERVED to have the Ravens' support, but unless he lied to them when this all initially came out then I'm not sure exactly what changed. He made a huge mistake, true, but it was one mistake. He has been a good guy in the community and on the team for years. I would have agreed with a longer team imposed suspension but they should have given him a chance to rebuild and atone for his mistake. I also don't understand most of the reaction i'm seeing from the media. I've seen many people saying he should be banned for life. Seriously? His actions were bad but banned for life bad?
  14. We let this guy get behind the D for a big TD every single time we play them because we aren't putting our best guy on him. Last time it was Elam, this time it was Brown and Stewart. Next time PUT JIMMY SMITH ON HIS ASS AND KEEP HIM THERE. Who gives a crap if it worked most of the day...with the game on the line...it didn't!
  15. Oh and if this was a game for 4 quarters I think the Bengals could have put up 30+. They took their foot off the gas because we weren't doing anything offensively.
  16. When your 7th year QB runs around for 8 seconds with 8 seconds left before halftime and the team in the redzone and a timeout in his pocket it might not be the OC's fault. Flacco sucked today. Smith SR sucked for 3 quarters. The other smith sucked. Jacoby sucked. The defense gets blame too. I actually liked what I saw out of Kubiak's playcalling for most of the day.
  17. To me a good impersonation (at least for comedic purposes) does just that - goes a little over the top and maybe exaggerates some of the more unique features of a person's personality, voice, speech. For example, Barkely doesn't say knucklehead every 2 sentences in real life and Madden doesn't go BOOM! as often as Caliendo does but that's what makes it funny.
  18. Yea everyone is on Seattle's jock....we'll see how they do on the road and during the rest of the season. It's not hard to get up for the home opener, the first game after a SB victory. They will be gettting everyone's best shot AND they won't have the drive they had when they were the hunters instead of the hunted. They won't repeat.
  19. I just knew Suggs' had something to do with his looks.
  20. That dude is the truth.
  21. lol. how times have changed.
  22. Listening to Lupe Fiasco's Lasers. The circumstances surrounding the album is fascinating to me. Lupe and his record company were battling over creative control and the album was delayed for months. Atlantic wanted the album to be more commercial than his first two albums and basically wanted make him a clone of label mate B.O.B (Beautiful Girls). They finally came to a compromise and apparently a big part of the deal was that "The Show goes on" was on the album and had to be the first single. Other than his raps, he had no hand in the early creation of the song - the label just gave him the record and told him to rap over it. The first verse of the song is actually him bitchin about his label - pretty funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmp6zIr5y4U&feature=relmfu
  23. Switching back and forth between Jay-Z's "Blueprint 3" and Fabolous' "Loso's Way" in my car's CD player. The local Hip-hop station shut down a couple weeks ago so I am burning a hole in those two discs.
