Resigned Danny Gorrer who I believe lost out in a head to head against Chykie Brown a few years ago. I remember thinking Gorrer won that competition.

Yea good to have Redzone with sunday ticket. If you start getting into a game you can just switch to it.

The good news is Pittsburgh's defense is just as bad. We might have ourselves a good old fashioned shootout.

It is now time to talk about the draft
OutsideRzAcE replied to tsylvester's topic in Baltimore Ravens
You would have been choosing from this fine talent pool of QB's coming out in the 2013 NFL draft. No offense papa, but even with the benefit of hindsight the Ravens decision to resign Flacco still looks better than your plan to trade him. Drafted Quarterbacks NAME POS SCHOOL ROUND PK(OVR) TEAM EJ Manuel QB Florida State 1 16(16) Buffalo Geno Smith QB West Virginia 2 7(39) NY Jets Mike Glennon QB North Carolina State 3 11(73) Tampa Bay Matt Barkley QB USC 4 1(98) Philadelphia Ryan Nassib QB Syracuse 4 13(110) NY Giants Tyler Wilson QB Arkansas 4 15(112) Oakland Landry Jones QB Oklahoma 4 18(115) Pittsburgh Brad Sorensen QB Southern Utah 7 15(221) San Diego Zac Dysert QB Miami (OH) 7 28(234) Denver B.J. Third place next week

No we beat the Steelers straight up so we're in 2nd
-
No, Franks and Brooks. So a rookie and a bum. We can debate if Pees had the right play call on but clearly his players weren't prepared for it and that's on him and his secondary coach.

And replace him with who? If you have a franchise QB you don't trade him unless you have a viable replacement waiting. We can argue whether Flacco is elite or top 10 or whatever, but with his win total he is definitely a franchise QB -
The ball was late because Flacco was under durress (Oline was a joke on that final drive). I thought the call was BS based on the situation. The Bengals have one job to do there which is prevent the deep pass. Not exactly a difficult task based on how much time was left. If the Bengals screw that up you don't bail them out with a OPI unless it's egregious.

Let's refocus this thread on the main issue today. With the game on the line, our coaches and/or players are too dumb to prevent what EVERYONE knew was coming. Dalton isn't some clutch precision QB. He just isn't afraid to chuck it up for grabs. No deep bomb to Sanu on that last drive, no loss today. It's as simple as that. Someone said they miss Ed Reed in the game thread today. We really miss his smarts in the secondary. A leader who is smart enough to understand situational football and opponent tendencies.

We just lost to the worst fn team in the afcn

Agreed -
I thought the offensive playcalling was fine. Execution as a team was pathetic. We should have mopped the floor with the players the Bengals put out there today. This is a big W for them.
-
Remember when Suggs said this after we kept allowing game turning blindside strip sacks of Flacco against the Steelers? You're the Ravens. You've battle back from an early deficit to take the lead against the Bengals. It's late in the 4th quarter and the Bengals are far from FG range. What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO? FIND THE BEST FUCKING RECEIVER ON THE OTHER TEAM AND PROTECT AGAINST THE DEEP PASS. It's not fucking rocket science. Dalton does it every time! We should be so well prepared for it we should be picking these desperation bombs off. Instead we keep letting this happen time after time after time.

I disagree. Look at how big McClain has been for the Cowboys - basically their defensive MVP. Sure WE didn't need McClain, but value is also based on what a player means to the other team. Ozzie should have been able to get a better haul based on how much THEY needed him. Not sure why Ozzie couldn't land a conditional pick based on games played or tackles. Look at what the Seahawks landed for Harvin. Missed opportunity for Ozzie.
-
They are the reason the sacks are piling up. A couple of times the Falcons stopped initial pressure and Ryan still got sacked because he couldn't find anyone open.
-
Looks like a rare bad move from Ozzie.
-
LOL...Browns don't know how to handle success. It's a whole new monster when you aren't the underdog anymore
-
Begs the question - who is more important to this team. Kubiak or Harbaugh?
-
Yea McPhee for sure. He was a beast today. Looks of guys played well today but Mcphee stood out for me.
-
Should have been suspended for a game. This doesn't send the right message at all.
-
Happy 37th! I hope it's a fun filled day
-
I have enjoyed watching them this season. It's a shame they went down so hard. Good luck to whomever plays KC (because I'm petty like that).
-
Forsett's ability to find the hole is unreal. You see the difference when Pierce is in.

Mosley turning heads already/leading for DROY
OutsideRzAcE replied to TBird's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Yea he was flying around Sunday, but he also got beat by the tight end for that 2nd Colts TD. -
The key is protecting Flacco. We protect Flacco and we have an offense. If we don't protect Flacco we have that steaming pile of shit we saw out there today. Once Flacco started anticipating pressure he morphed back into the 2013 model - inaccurate with happy feet. Something is up with him that's for sure. His demanor has sucked this year. I'm not sure how much to read into that but he always seems to have slumped shoulders and a frown on his face.
