I don't think you can claim the Wideouts aren't getting separation anymore. Not since Boldin left. How many times did Jacoby or Torrey break open deep and Flacco over or underthrew them? Happened at least once a game
-
hogwash...harbs aint going anywhere. Wishful thinking by Michigan fans.
-
Actually Boller never threw more than 12. Flacco broke Testaverde's record.
-
And not just Norv Turner, but he is the only one that comes to mind right now. If they see a guy out there that they think can bring some creativity in terms of playcalling then grab him (but IMO he needs to be established as a good playcaller). They don't even have to fire Caldwell just relieve him of his playcalling duties.
-
Let me be clear. I don't think you fire Caldwell just to make a change, but I think if you have a chance to get an established smart offensive mind like Norv Turner, that the Ravens need to pounce. Look at what Norv did with absolutely nothing in Cleveland. He turned two junk QB's in Brian Hoyer and Jason Campbell into servicable starters.

It is ridiculous that the Steelers are in front of us when they would have beaten us out for a WC. 1. Houston Texans - 2-14 (.559) 2. St. Louis Rams (via Washington Redskins) - 3-13 (.516) 3. Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-12 (.504) 4. Cleveland Browns - 4-12 (.516) 5. Oakland Raiders - 4-12 (.523) 6. Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 (.553) 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 4-12 (.574) 8. Minnesota Vikings - 5-10-1 (.512) 9. Buffalo Bills - 6-10 (.520) 10. Detroit Lions - 7-9 (.457) 11. Tennessee Titans - 7-9 (.504) 12. New York Giants - 7-9 (.520) 13. St. Louis Rams - 7-9 (.551) 14. Chicago Bears - 8-8 (.465) 15. Pittsburgh Steelers - 8-8 (.469) 16 or 17. Baltimore Ravens - 8-8 (.484) 16 or 17. Dallas Cowboys - 8-8 (.484) 18. New York Jets - 8-8 (.488) 19. Miami Dolphins - 8-8 (.523) 20. Arizona Cardinals - 10-5 (.529)

Yea and only because it's a road game. This is not a typically strong NE team. We will find out a lot about Dalton this post-season.
-
The Ravens had several "Must win games" and more often than not, they wilted instead of rising to the challenge. That is not something we've seen under Harbs. The other thing, Joe almost never had back to back clunkers. If he sucked (as he did in NE), he almost always rebounded with a sharp, focused, and accurate effort. That also didn't happen this year. The line was awful, Rice was awful. They have a big decision to make on Suggs, but outside of that I think you can leave the defense as is you will see enough improvement with the young players getting a year wise but the offense needs a major overhaul.
-
Strongly disagree. I was in favor of giving Caldwell a full year after his playcalling took us to the SB, but after a full year I am unimpressed. He doesn't make any adjustments as the game wears on. The Bengals were blitzing all day long and we made no adjustment whatsoever? Compare that to the Bengals, who successfully countered our rush with screens and the read option. Caldwell's offense is only successful if Joe is hitting his deep passes consistently. If he can't do that Caldwell's plays aren't creative enough to fool a defense, and sometimes that's what is necessary. You want to bet the whole 2014 Season on Joe being able to hit an open wide receiver 30- 40 yards down the field?

What a way to lose. After we blew it watching Succop miss that kick in a room full of Steelers fans almost made it all worth it

San Diego is going to be murdarized next week. Cinci's first playoff win is a lock. I actually think it worked out the best possible way for Cinci. Home against San Deigo (Pitt would have been a bigger challegne) then if you win, on the road @ New England which is easily the weaker of the top 2 seeds.
-
Browns fire Chud, which means Norv is available. I would love for the Ravens to give him a look, but I think they will give Caldwell another year.
-
Flacco was bad this year, there is no doubt about it. The knee only played a small part IMO. You can use the line as an excuse for the first half, but in the 2nd half of the season they improved enough to the point where Flacco had time to make plays. 22 INT's...not much else you have to say.

Amen
-
Mercifully our season ends today. Congrats to the Bengals.
-
True playcalling sucks overall, but guys are open down the field and Flacco has been off all year
-
Flacco throwing deep balls like Boller this year.
-
Definitely a bright spot this season.
-
4 Interceptions and we're losing. Looking at you Caldwell and Flacco
-
I really hate this defenseless receiver crap.
-
We have no play-calling answer for the blitz. No imagination. Caldwell needs to go back to QB coach or just go.
-
Game over.
-
Suggs suckered
-
Just watched a no call on the Steelers for an identical play that Jimmy just got called for a PI
-
How many big plays on screens are we going to give up today
