He has to play well enough to make teams willing to compromise on the fact that he brings a shit load of cameras and media scrutiny to your team. He'd have to be a Pro Bowl level talent now. It seems like teams are willing to take a chance on a player that brings a lot of media (Tebow, Manziel) but not when it brings attention due to a hot button issue like gay rights. Bischotti, Harbs, Ozzie, and Cass may be cool with a gay player on the team but do you think they want to chance on Steve Smith (for example) answering questions about having a gay teammate? Not only is it a major distraction for the team it is a potential Miami Dolphins type PR nightmare scenario. Unfortunate, but true.

To me a good impersonation (at least for comedic purposes) does just that - goes a little over the top and maybe exaggerates some of the more unique features of a person's personality, voice, speech. For example, Barkely doesn't say knucklehead every 2 sentences in real life and Madden doesn't go BOOM! as often as Caliendo does but that's what makes it funny.

Yea everyone is on Seattle's jock....we'll see how they do on the road and during the rest of the season. It's not hard to get up for the home opener, the first game after a SB victory. They will be gettting everyone's best shot AND they won't have the drive they had when they were the hunters instead of the hunted. They won't repeat.

The writing on the show is much better than I anticipated. We're not talking Lost quality but definitely a great show to binge watch on Netflix.

8-8...not optimistic about this season. The Bengals will fall back down to earth but the Steelers are due for a revival.

Does anyone watch this show? I heard a lot of good things about it so when I found Season 1 on Netflix my wife and I decided to check it out. Pretty entertaining.

The hold back with John is that he is not considered an expert in offense or defense. He will always get too little credit when they win, too much blame when they lose.

I agree with Cuban. Goddell and the owners keep wanting to mess with a good thing and ultimately they are going to ruin the game. Season long Thursday games, 18 game seasons, expanded playoffs, these dumbass defenseless receiver rules....all terrible ideas.

Gradkowski drove me nuts last year but it was just one year. I don't think he deserves to go into next year as the undisputed starter but he should have a chance to compete for the spot. Picking up where he left off is not good enough, he's gotta show some major improvement.
