Losing in that fashion drove them to win this year. If they had beat NE I don't know if they would have had the drive to come back and fight through adversity like they did this year. The Ravens have already been good at taking failure and turning it into a driver for success. They blew the two TD lead @ Pittsburgh in the playoffs a two years ago, then came back and swept the Steelers the next year. Last year they blew it against NE and used it as motivation to come back beat NE and win the SB. Think about the Denver game...this team was just not going to lose no matter how many times they had to come back. Now there is no giant failure to drive them...it'll be interesting to see if they can find something else to motivate them.

According to BaltimoreRavens.com he aggravated them on the first play from scrimmage against Davis. That explains why he was playing so poorly.

I wonder if he aggravated his ribs or another injury in the week leading up to the game. I thought he played pretty poorly in the SB...I was shocked because I expected him to Rock out. Props to him for playing through the pain...that is "Suggsy"

Enjoy the parade you lucky bastards. When they won in 2000 I was in High School, so I missed the parade. I wasn't really pressed to go because I was naive enough to figure they'd be back soon enough. A few years ago I promised myself if they every went again I'd make every effort to make the parade, but alas no can do. The boss is out on business and we can't both be out at the same time. For those that are young enough to have missed the 2001 parade (and I can't think of anyone offhand but i'll say this anyway) don't assume another championship is coming easily....make every effort to get there.

I literally said that to someone last night after the game. After the first SB I thought we'd win another win within 2-3 years for sure. Enjoy this win...SB's don't come around often and as you pointed out, for some teams they don't come around at all.

I had 0 faith in the D to stop them. 0. I was prepping myself psychologically to watch the Ravens have to drive with about a minute and a half left.
