Yeah, while his line isnt helping him, he would be very wise to stay in college
-
Have we seen enough of Arch Manning to say; he just doesn't have it?
-
So what draft position will the Ravens be in?
tsylvester replied to tsylvester's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Not sure where he will go in the draft, doubtful in the 1st, but one big man for the middle of the d line, a two gapper, 6'-5", 335 strong bull, Ben Barton, Wisconsin -
I agree, he has his boneheaded plays, cluncker games, especially in the post season, but the team has also done the same. Im glad that he is our qb, the only one I would take over him is Allen, but 1) The Ravens never had a shot at him 2) would he have made the improvements here, had the right coaching to make the adjustments in his passing?
-
So, Lamar, Roquan, Marlo, and Riccard are out for this game.
-
Wow, solid team player, so young
-
Now? Kyle, no doubt, great game plans, offensively, in game adjustments. But does Kyle draft Lamar? Hmmm
-
Niners, almost as many key injuries as the Ravens, including their starting qb. Now lead their division, winning 3 games with a back up qb many thought was a bust when the season started. Now they are 4-1, no, didn't face top NFL teams, nonetheless, they won't the games they should, any way they could.

Houston defense is not that great, inconsistent at best. It might be best to let Stanely have the game off, let Noteboom take over. I'm sure he can handle Will Anderson who is smaller, quick, but smaller... run at him, wear home down..
-
Wiggins was back at practice, good news, even if he misses a game, it means that elbow is not as bad as it looked.. Lindy and Stanley back, though limited. Hamilton still out with the groin, VanNoy back, though I expect him to possibly be a game time decision with that hammy. Welcome to the 4077

The Lamar affect
-
Texans favored by 2.5
-
14 players either missed practice yesterday or left early; 4 hamstrings, 5 with other muscle related, ie calf (3) groin (1) etc.. Texans only had 7 on their list, 2 shoulders, 3 knees, rest and and oblique
-
Buck Rogers may be the only one who can save this season! Their line is worse than the Ravens, I think that gets a few extra sacks to make the difference, Ravens wins a field goal game! Hey, a guy can dream about reaching the stars, right?
-
Houston, we have a problem, as the saying goes. Yes, our fans are wondering if aliens, the ones from outer space, have taken over this team. The Ravens, once a highly thought of top team to win the Super Bowl, are now just a sad story of a powerless space ship a drift in the vastness of the universe. The Texans too were once a team thought to be on the rise. But they limp in with the same record, 1-3, trading off almost half of their offensive line in the past few weeks. Both teams are desperate, the Ravens will likely be with out Lamar and possibly as many as 5 other starters for this game. A rash of injuries has apparently stricken this team, testing their depth, testing the fire in their hearts and that of the fans. A loss for either team would surely end their hopes of the post season. So, who ya got?

Toss Monken under the bus but not the real big issue; the defensive coordinator. The offense, scheme, is fine, top 3 last year, on pace for that this year. Execution is the issue; the line mostly. I suppose one could say the same about the defense except it was an issue last too...
-
So, an offensive minded coach, successful coordinator or a defensive one? I would hate to lose Monken, wouldn't mind him interim head coach this year, but noting term. Someone to clean house on the defensive coaching staff, special teams and training staff. The injuries keep happening, muscle, so someone is doing something wrong. This defense did get better last year but as I said last year, not playing the Bengals every other week will make your pass defense look much much better. Since the defense is even worse this year, clearly, the coaching staff is the issue.
-
Humphrey out at least the next 2 games with a calf injury.
-
Yeah and Washington placed on IR, out for 4 games.....
-
They aren't making the playoffs now. I would feel differently had they lost fighting, as I've said, 1-3 can be overcome. But the way they played, nope, this team is done. Oh they will go through the motions to avoid injury or to fulfill a contract. But just like that pass Flowers caught in the 3rd along the sidelines on 4th and 3; oops, did I do that? They may win 5, 6 games now just because... but they will lose the next 2 weeks as Lamar sits out with a hamstring injury. After the bye, eak out a few wins...
-
A good, thorough look at the make up of the team would show that injuries are not the cause of the ineptitude, apathy of some of the players, several, top paid "leaders". The drafting of injured unproven players at position of need. The signing of aging, injured or injury riddled players. All of whom do not live up to even the minimum contract. The continued in game, piss poor, in game management, the terrible play in the post season even when fully healthy. Yes, this and more all add up to coaching. I would love to know if 3 players on the same team ever had the same injury occur in game, hamstring most especially? I suppose we will never know that answer. I do agree, the Biscuit is not likely to make a move, yet, sadly.
-
I wonder if the Biscuit could lure Jordan Hudson, I mean Billy B away from his failed NC team?
-
I suppose this is the only question left to settle, top 5, top 10, top 15? We know they will need a left tackle, a really good one. Likely a guard as well because frankly neither guard is panning out, really disappointed in Vorhees. Need an edge rusher and some big phat boys for the defensive line. Maybe even an inside backer, while Buchanan is still raw, he doesn't show much game intelligence and he has poor speed to cover. I suppose a lot will have to depend on who the coach is? Can we get one of them in the draft?
-
Maybe, but I think he is just focused on keeping his eyes down field to throw. What was up the the line blocking? Your man doesn't rush hard so you ignore him and help block someone else. As soon as you do, your man rushes.... That happened most of the first half, that is coaching. All of these hamstring injuries, if trueare on the training staff and coaches. Heads need to roll
