  1. These have been terrific games, thrilling, surreal, heart breaking. When the Ravens play their A game, they run down the throats of the Bills, wear them down, then dominate. The offense controls the clock, the ball, making the Bills have to be one dimensional, throw, to keep up. It is a recipe that has worked almost to perfection, almost because they only seem employ it in the regular season, at least on a consistent basis. Last season, well, last post season, they controlled the game by running the ball, mixed in timely passing. Then forgot one thing, protect the ball. They turned the ball over trying to do too much, they dropped key passes trying too hard to make a play. In essence, they forgot to remember who they were; the better team. So now we run this back, a regular season game, this one to open the season. Will they remember? So, who ya got?
  2. Nice watching football again, college today, tomorrow, Monday. Question for the audience. If a runner can now be pushed forward and have the ball spotted forward from where the scrim started. Why then, do we not give the defense the same courtesy, when said runner is pushed back? Instead of forward progress being the call. Oh I know, offense sells...
  3. That netflix show was awesome. You could really see how Jimmy was the reason for their success, in the draft and on the field. The players knew it. Had they kept him, they win 2 more, but neither he nor Jerry could put their egos aside. The worst thing to happen to that franchise was their winning the super bowl with Barry as head coach. That, to Jerry, confirmed that Jones was the "great football mind" behind their success. My how easy it was to fool himself...
  4. Maybe, maybe they did get other offers and this was the best they could do. Yes, starting this earlier would have been wiser, and I do think Jerry should step back from the gm role and just be a silent owner. He clearly knows football, but has little horse sense.
  5. Yes, maybe low round 1 picks, so what? Use one to combine to move up in the draft next year that will have an abundance of talent, by all accounts. You've got Dak and CD paid top dollar, cant pay everyone. Had you paid Mincah earlier, Mincah would have signed the deal he agreed to when met with Jerry, in March, but no, he changed his mind when he brought the deal to his agent.
  6. Of the top 10 leaders in sacks, in league history, only 4 of them have won a super bowl. Cowboys couldn't stop the run the past few years, not even when Pasons, an end, was healthy. Now they get a guy who is very good at stopping the run, plus, 2 1st round draft picks. I really don't have a problem with this trade,
  7. The Dallas Cowboys are trading All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a compensation package of 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowler Kenny Clark, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Jane Slater report The Dallas Cowboys are trading All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a compensation package of 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowler Kenny Clark, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Jane Slater reported on Thursday. The Cowboys subsequently announced the trade. Upon arriving in Green Bay, Parsons will sign a four-year, $188 million deal with $136 million guaranteed that will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history at $47 million per year, Rapoport, Pelissero and Slater added. The stunning blockbuster trade finalizes a divorce between Parsons and the Cowboys that seemed all but impossible just weeks earlier, even amid a prolonged contract dispute that spilled over into the public eye and grew uglier with each passing week. While Dallas has notoriously developed a habit for waiting to pay its best players, a split between the two parties simply wasn't fathomable because of what was thought to be one simple truth: No team would willingly part with a player of Parsons' caliber, especially not as he's just entering his prime. The Cowboys -- and their owner, Jerry Jones -- felt differently, obviously. As he's done throughout the course of his nearly four decades spent as Cowboys owner (e.g., the 1989 Herschel Walker trade), Jones decided to go against the grain with this deal. In the staring contest between Parsons' representation and Jones, the world-famous owner refused to blink. When trade interest was leaked this week, Parsons told Slater he and his team went back to the Cowboys regarding an extension but were met with a response of, "play on the fifth year or leave." https://www.nfl.com/news/micah-parsons-packers-cowboys-trade
  8. I know he is a good team guy, but jeepers, 35 years with one franchise is a bit much, next thing ya know they will put him in the ring of honor
  9. To quote my old coach; nicely done!
  10. He is rarely healthy, but he did have a very good camp and pre-season.
  11. A pretty good break down https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-roster-cuts-53-takeaways-2025
  12. Maybe they can nab Henden Hooker for the ps squad, I think he still qualifies...
  13. I'm sure JAD will come back to the ps squad, hopefully Leary won't
  14. Oh I know, but then the Ravens were lying about Lamar's foot....
  15. Cleveland has shown he can play well when given the chance to play. His issue has always been practice and that, largely because of personal issues he seems to have overcome. He can play guard or center, and do so adequately. Vinson is not a beast but he will do in a pinch, finish a game maybe start 1 or 2. Same for Noteboom. Bullock has shown promise at center, he is a little better power blocker, a bit weak in pass blocking right now, but I expect him to get better. I also would not be surprised to see him supplant our current center next year if Lindy prices him self off of the roster.
  16. True, the experienced depth on the line is not great, shoot, even most of the starters are young, very young. But there are 8, 9 guys who are solid, some are very good at run blocking, others at pass blocking. Time, playing time is needed for them to round out as it were. But I don't think it is as bleak as some think. Sure, Mekari, the Swiss army knife is gone, but he will really all they had the past few years. Now they have a few at each position.
  17. Well, Lamar is still the great equalizer to help out a weak pass blocking line
  18. The only place they are not deep is at wr and to a lesser extent, defensive end. We won't likely see their final roster until after 4 pm tomorrow
  19. Marcel broke it down well, as did Chase Daniels, all of his games as well as some of the other rookie qbs Fact of the matter is, if not for his name, there would not be much ado about him, then again, they made a huge deal about Trey Lance, but I digress
  20. Doesn't take much to make a camper happy
  21. As expected, Shefty trying to keep his status as the man going amidst the plethora of people now using the you tube and the ticky tocky, and the other ones to become famous... Now for the cuts and ps squad
  22. Really? Despite having open receivers? even when his pocket time was limited? Or just moving the runningback to the other side, where there is not another reciever going into the flat? A safety valve as it were? Not drifting in the pocket, taking away blocking angles for the linemen? These are simple things, that don't rely on the skill of the other players and would get first downs, show improvement, on his part. These are the very things, and other issues, that had him rated as a 5th round qb.

  24. He did enough, checked out when needed, let everyone else show what they have. But his arm is what the team needs, that pick in the endzone Johnson through was simply because he could throw it hard enough, which gave Graham time to undercut the throw. You can win games with qbs like him and even Huntley as backups. If Lamar goes down for 2 or 3 games, you need someone who can win 1 of 2 or 2 of 3. Neither Huntely nor Johnson can realistically do that, teams would just go man and put 8, 9 in the box to stop the run. The Commandos did that in the 2nd quarter and even 3rd to try and slow down the run, and Rush best them with his arm enough times to back them off.
  25. 1:58 Draw gets 9 Run up the middle get 4 Under a minute Run right gets 3 Run up the middle gets 3 and ends the game. One injury that we know of, solid play all the way around.. Tuesday is cut down day to 53, plus 16 on practice squad and any players "hurt" who can go on ir but be recalled this year, up to 8, yet must miss 4 games.
