  1. I would have kept Victor over Boykin and McCrary over Hill... But that's why they get paid the big bucks.. No real surprises other than Levine, I was never a fan, and McPhee..
  2. Shocking, just shocking. There has to be more to this than just one better than the other. Granted, Cam doesn't have much arm strength left unless he really winds up and fires it. He still doesn't have much touch on his passes. Even so, while Jones may be good, he has looked good against scrubs, in the preseason. This has to be covid related and pride; Cam not wanting to back up...
  3. They released Tomlinson
  4. Should be intesting, the wr's finally made a very good case for keeping 6. That might be unlikely if the Ravens keep 4 rbs, for me that would be Hill as the odd man out. How many offensive linemen? 6-8, split the difference? Five on the defensive line, but they may need to keep 6 for depth on this extra game schedule. 14 on the defensive line/linenackers combined, maybe 15 That would be 30 if we take the high nunbers. Add 3 qbs, one inactive game day, leaves us with 20 open. Kicker, punter, long snapper brings us down to 17, 10 in the 2ndary leaves us with 7... Oye..
  5. https://www.nfl.com/news/harbaugh-ravens-plan-to-fill-j-k-dobbins-absence-with-multiple-backs In the Ravens' offense, replacing Dobbins isn't a job for one, according to coach John Harbaugh. "The way we run our offense, we want to roll backs. We want to play multiple backs. We have a lot of carries, so those guys do a lot in the offense," Harbaugh said Monday. "It's not like it's gonna be one running back that takes all of the reps for us. We need three backs active every game, we're gonna need a back or two on the practice squad that's ready to go, so that's kind of how we operate." Rapoport: 'There's been some dialogue' between Ravens, Gurley Might the Ravens turn to the trading block or another team's scrap heap for a new acquisition? Harbaugh wouldn't dispel the notion. "That's true for every position," Harbaugh said. "It's not like any position that we're not going to be looking for opportunity to improve. Obviously, that's a conversation because of J.K.'s injury. I wouldn't say I'd be surprised if there was a back that came available that was better than what we have for us, but if that were to be the case or some veteran out there made sense, I'm sure we'd do it. Whatever we can do to make our team better, we'll do."
  6. Ravens are "rumored" to be interested in https://triblive.com/sports/first-call-leveon-bell-lesean-mccoy-among-rumored-replacements-for-ravens-j-k-dobbins-notable-safety-signings-for-steelers/ But if the Ravens want to bolster the running back depth, many outlets are suggesting the franchise consider signing 2017 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Todd Gurley. The former Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons back is currently a free agent after averaging just 3.5 yards per carry en route to 678 yards in 2020. A pair of names with Pittsburgh ties have come up in the rumor mill — ex-Steeler Le’Veon Bell and former Pitt Panther LeSean McCoy. Bell managed just 466 yards from scrimmage in 2020 between stops with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. McCoy only had only 25 touches for 132 yards from scrimmage in 10 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year
  7. As crav said, Cain missed out thanks to his two drops and the others making very contested catches. Shame too, his size & speed, I was hoping he could work out. But concentration has always been his problem. Too many young hungry wide outs with potential. They may only keep 5 this year, stash someone on the ps to call up if needed.
  8. Hill is a wasted roster spot, I know, I know, he is a decent special teams player. But if it windy out, he can't move unless he wants to be blown over by a 5 mph gust... Gurlie is just not dependable now, slowed by his knee injuries and can he even run in this type of offensive blocking scheme?
  9. I wish they would just turn off the self aggrandizing Sanduaky's mic and let Rod & Mike talk scheme all game; great stuff
  10. Runningback is one of the deeper parts of the roster. While he is a big loss, they have 2 quick good vision guys waiting in the wings. Both have the same skill set, so it is a toss up. I personally lile McCrary better but then we are splitting hairs
  11. Ive never seen the receivers make so many contested catches. I feel bad for Cain, the odd man out tonight on catches; maybe on the roster too... How refreshing
  12. Not a bad return for someone who is only a slot cover at best...
  13. Riddick, just look at the players the Skins and Iggles drafted, failed to develop when he was with those teams; they were awful. He is always ready to pronounce how right he was about a player until he is wrong them blames the system for why he was wrong about a player.
  14. Really? Ima bit disappointed in you old friend. The guy is almost always wrong in his evaluations, states mostly the obvious when he is ever correct. Look at the teams he worked for; horrible at the time of his employment. Sure, not all of that is on him but.... I can't stand him nor Dan Alwayswrongski; the two biggest wastes of air on the network. Espn has gone way down hill...
  15. Hill needs to go, he never should have beem drafted
  16. He has always had the talent, it has been his effort, work ethic that was the issue. Now maybe he is with the right coaches & players to help him realize his talent and keep working hard.
  17. Defense looks deep in all positions, the offense deep at tight end, runningback. Wide outs still a big question mark and there is nothing behind Lamar...
  18. Wallace is a keeper, playing as he did in college, if he can stay healthy he will be one to watch this year
  19. So much blast from the past... In the last few years we've had a resurgence in names; Brown, Goose, now McCrary.... Kid has some nice feet & vision...
  20. Trace took some serious shots to get the ball off; kid is a gamer... Seems the injury bug has bit the receivers this season; a change from the secondary...
  21. No major injuries is the only victory that matters!
  22. Mike has always been known to be mingling, trying to, with others more than he actually watches the play on the field. Mike, donuts are sale, run fat boy run!
  23. It wasn't just poor qb play, it was bad draft picks on the offensive line, at wide out. You can't draft a pocket passer and not provide a pocket. Likewise with Lamar, he has to be able to create, so you need wide outs who know how to keep routes a live when the play break down. You need linemen who don't stop after shouting watch out. There is so much that goes into a qb being an mvp than just his talent.
