He was lost in all of the coverages, man under, man to the weak side, high/low... Better? Maybe with less complicated coverages, but he has lost a step. He still tackles well and is a great leader, two things Harbs loves in a defender. I expect He will be released and brought back if he doesn't land somewhere, he loves playing here
-
Yeah, Jefferson has just lost too many steps, great leader and energy, but he just can't keep up
-
Wow, they waived Dicker, why not wait for a trade partner?
-
Pressure, this year he is battling 3 others for one roster spot.... My guess either he or Jefferson get it... The 3rd one, the small speedster is likely headed to the ps.
-
He is a Harbs fav so I would say yes he makes the team. Frankly, he has always given up big plays and made one really good play a game. Enough with players like that, those who have potential. Play or don't, there is no potential on this team any more, it is too close to being very good.

Great move by Eric to sign Dicker, who did very well punting and kicking last night. There are a few teams in dire need of a kicker/punter especiallyBuffalo now that they cut their rapist punter, great trade bait.

Well, another undefeated fake season, no major injuries to major players, still waiting to hear about the bubble corner injured on the 2pt conversion.. Well, Poe was hurt badly..... Some good talent on this team, no signs of a consistent running game, though Davis looked like a starting back behind Jk and Gus (who will miss the first 4 games at least. We won't know the starting line till they line up against the Jets week 1... Robinson looked good burning fry cooks, nothing worse than burnt fries... can he do that in the regular season with Lamar? Hope, that is what we can take from this off-season, Hope.

Yeah, got gassed late in the game, conditioning! But I think he earned a spot, he even made a few tackles on special teams
-
Yep, pretty much, as if they are worth reading anyway
-
It's a great read, albeit a bit long but worth the time. Ross has the desire, the familiarity of the system. Has the physical tools, but does he have the instincts, the discipline it takes to be a long term middle backer? https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2022/8/25/23321248/ravens-udfa-linebacker-josh-ross-is-a-realistic-roster-option-nfl-news

With the emergence of Likely, I think that poses plenty of issues for defenses. He runs better than Boyle, so doubling Beastdrews will almost be impossible. Sure, Likely had emerged via linecooks defending him in mostly zone. But he showed great hands, quick feet and the agility to make men miss, break tackles. If they double both or just play match up zone, now the wideouts will be able, in theory, to exploit the coverages. If Lamar can be on time, have time, or see the right reads, this can be a time consuming offense scoring touchdowns instead of field goals. This will force teams to throw into a secondary that is, on paper, very very dangerous. If they stay healthy, this could be a special year...

So with Likley playing so well, I wonder what happens with Kochlar, injury/ir game or ps? I doubt they keep 4 tight ends, right? Six wide outs? 8 offensive linemen? 7 defensive lineman? 6 linebackers? 8 secondary? Ls/punter/Tucker (3) 4 rbs? That is 42, 45 if we count 3 tightends
-
Good stuff, thanks Max No surprises in this round of cuts, I am sure one or two will end up on the ps
-
Wow look what Dr Jeckle & Mr Hyde dragged in, good to see you back
-
I wish they would release Hill, it was a tad windy last night, as usual he couldn't run.... I did like some.of the stunt combos the boy wonder (yes his new nik name) called last night.

Those grades are incomplete, where are the run grades? Outside of Huntley and his scrambles, plus 1 nine yard run by Mcrary, the team could not move the ball on the ground. No one could sustain blocks nor make a hole. Defensively, on 21 carries the Cards only had just under 3 yards per carry. Nice. But they were 8 of 15 on 3rd downs, not very good; granted these are back ups playing with fry cooks.. 12 penalties, more than one of the personal foul varieties, not-not good, berry, berry bad, and is also a culprit with starters in the regular season. Herbs has to put his foot down, eventually.

Yes, he got rolled up on during the Trace touchdown. Nothing serious. All in all a very good outing, players continued to build on their camp & the last game, some hurt but none injured as of now. Would like to see more out of that running game, yards seemed to be hard to come by, ....

Fake game II, Make a few plays, don't get injured
-
I think they are going to rue the day they skipped over Dean.
-
Agreed, I thought they reached for him, their claim as the BPA is hoo- hockey, there were other players both in need and talent worthy of 14 above Hamilton.
-
Yeah, it should be interesting to see the coverages and schemes he uses, can his play calling translate from college to pro?
-
Just getting the injured back in the secondary would make a huge improvement. Add in who they have plus one or two of the younger players who gained important experience last season because of the injuries and yes, this defense SHOULD, be top 15, maybe even top 10. That is a huge leap, but not an outlandish claim; the talent is there, use them wisely
-
It's best to work him in slowly with all of the new pieces in the secondary, counting those returning from injury and the new system. I wasn't sold on him from the draft, hope I am wrong..
-
The Browns will be on the hook for $46 million next year since it was not a full season suspension; ouch you get what you trade for.....
-
Boy, he still just does not get it. Even if he is innocent, shut up...
