  1. Willie Snead after the game. An honest opion, we heard last off season that Lamar had come very far in his passing.. Let us hope he works even harder rhis off season, as I am sure he will. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/17/willie-snead-thinks-loss-will-be-a-wake-up-call-for-lamar-jackson/
  2. Max, silver lining in a cloud. Yet another game fhe Ravens lost, not the other team winning. There is very good young talent on this team, with health and the right moves, this team should be a playoff contender for a few years at least
  3. What a great job by the defense, another stellar performance. It was a solid year, there will be little cap space, few draft picks, so the offeseason has to be won. Now go get Dickerson, center, Bama, a rush backer, and see what else they can land in the draft. This offense needs help, maybe time will be it's friend...
  4. This song came right to my mind when I read your post Max.. Slip slidin' away Slip slidin' away You know the nearer your destination The more you're slip slidin' away I know a man He came from my home town He wore his passion for his woman Like a thorny crown He said Delores I live in fear My love for you's so overpowering I'm afraid that I will disappear Slip slidin' away Slip slidin' away You know the nearer your destination The more you're slip slidin' away
  5. Bill is out of a job because he chose fo retire and enjoy more time with his family while also working an easier, stress wise, job on tv....
  6. Max, I think Bill's main point was the money issue; why sign a guy like Stanley, arguably the best left tackle in the game when you have a qb as elusive as Lamar? Brown has proved an average left tackle will work just as well. Take that Stanley money and give Lamar a play maker on the outside, this way, even IF, his shelf life- elusiveness- fades, he can still have the play maker on the outside. Imagine a Diggs on the outside, Andrews gets open more, as does Snead, single coverage, even the running game is helped.
  7. Mmm what to make of this game.. The defense riding a high, will they come down and mope or will they have their cake & eat it too? Can Lamar stop the turnovers, play his game at night in the bright spot light or will he whither in heat? Allen is looking for revenge, 70 freaking percent completion rate, down field passing too boot! Ok, I'm a timmy downer, but I just don't see the Ravens winning this game....
  8. Instigator, do.you have popcorn and is it caramel? Me, I'm watching a Corrs concert from back in the early 2000's.
  9. Here is a question I have not heard asked nor stated. IF Stafanski is healthy enough, why can't they put him in say a hazmat suit to get him to the game and let him coaxh from one of the press boxes that will be empty?
  10. Oh I know, but just because someone else goes classless does not mean we should. In any event, as I said, I get it, they are young men.
  11. Anatomy of a loss, I wrote this after the Tucker miss. 2 touchdown passes that were not thrown, one to Boykin, one to Andrews. One tiuchdown pass that was thrown, to Brown, but the receiver did not look for the ball. A few bad plays called, not utilizing the players properly. A turnover that was not forced by the defense, was the right player to throw to, but off by a mile. A missed field goal to extend the lead. Throwing a pass with 1:45 left in the game and they have all of their timeouts. -------------------- Lamar + a great defensive effort = the great equalizers for a surprise win!
  12. WOO - HOO! While I did not like the class act after the pick by Peters, aint the beer cold! What a performance by the defense!
  13. In the last game, keep in mind, the Ravens held a lead, shut down Henry, for 3 quarters, only to turn the ball over and the defense, less several players due to covid or injuries, tired out letting the Titans back in the game. Granted, every game is different, especially in the playoffs, so get the popcorn ready, the drinks iced down, an extra one in case we need it to get over the loss or especially if we want it to celebrate a victory...
  14. On a football note, I think Snead will be the key. The last two times they played, the Titans used a linebacker to cover him from the slot, his medium crossing and flag routes were wide open on timing routes, if Lamar will trust him, he beats the linebacker often. They will clog the middle, use a safety down in the box to control Lamar's running, so deep over routes on play action, if the line can give him time will be open to Brown and Boykin for quick, deep strikes if Lamar will take the shots
  15. Max ; "you get a 12% raise in pay, special training, an up grade in rank and more action here than any of those hack networks. You've got tight end size with the hands of a wide receiver and a body weight to handle the biggest turkeys on the net. You've got smart eyes, good abutments, and damit I think you've got the guts to make it!"
  16. We have sports to help us escape the world. Espn is wrong to cover the trash, this is no place for it either; it all stinks. Bring on the sports.. Hey, Hills Street Blues is on Hulu! Bout time, not that this series would fly in today's world; but every police;/ law drama is based off of this all time great shows.
  17. Maybe I heard it wrong, several coaches including the head coach, two players this week plus the 4 or five from last week... So first it was the drive, then the fumble, now it will be the pandemic.....
  18. Browns are screwed, 8-9 players, head coach all under covid restrictions, coach and several players not eligible for the playoff game. What can the league do? Postpone? Is that fair to the other playoff teams? Have the game played, is that fair to the Browns? Oh what a mess we are starting to make....
  19. Yep, they landed two great pass rushers in back to back drafts betwen him and Young. But they won't be able to keep em both. I don't think there is a pass rusher like either of them from the start or worth a first round pick. Look at Jones from Pit or Rousaeu from Miami, both are tall, rangy, good burst/quickness, but they need to develop more moves and better hand placement, along with strength to hold the edge. Even Oweh from PSU has alot of potential but isn't worth the risk in the first round. Should be interesting
  20. Nice, from a football fan point of view. Some hall of fame to be qbs come to town. Not gonna be an easy road from this year's point of view.. https://ravenswire.usatoday.com/gallery/baltimore-ravens-2021-schedule-opponents/amp/ Home Kansas City Chiefs – Indianapolis Colts Los Angeles Chargers – Green Bay Packers – Minnesota Vikings- Cincinnati Bengals- Pittsburgh Steelers – Cleveland Browns- Away Las Vegas Raiders- Pittsburgh Steelers – Cleveland Browns- Cincinnati Bengals- Denver Broncos – Chicago Bears – Detroit Lions – Miami Dolphins –
  21. Texans have a great pasing game, that is the key.
  22. I have no idea which team will come out victorious, will the Ravens try to outsmart themselves? Will they put too much pressure on themselves? Or will they just relax & play, have fun, take each play as it comes? We shall see if the expected journey starts now..
  23. Oh for sure they need a pass rusher, I just don't think there is one in the draft worth that pick in the first. They have shown that they caan find diamonds in the rough on defense, even edge rushers.
  24. Turn the sound down, Espn has the horrible crew working the game
