  1. All three have been activated, cleared to play Sunday-SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!!
  2. This might be a blessing in disguise, sitting Brown down, alowing other receivers to work, maybe get open, maybe they gain confidence in them selves or Lamar in them and the passing game gets life... We shall see...
  3. You are the best Dee, thanks so much for all you have done and continue to do for us!
  4. I was there as well, I swear that stadium sounded just as loud half empty as it does fully packed; we rocked it out
  5. 3 Wide outs -out might be an issue for most teams but not this team.... Strong running game dominates the clock, Tucker and a defensive score lead the way. Pats beat the Phins pushes the Ravens in...
  6. This is getting ridiculous, did they catch it from Dez? Is this just another round of false tests from those South Korean lab tests the Gov bought?
  7. Remember another 4th & 29? A 29 pt comeback at home against Seattle, with Anthony Wright at qb!? Half the stadium left by the third quarter, some came back, others tried, but we rocked out the stadium as the Ravens roared back...
  8. More potassium, or maybe intravenous midol... Ive seen that gotta crap now run, Ive done it too.....
  9. I never said let him walk, just get him a to trust his receivers. Boykin was open a few times, Lamar, with time, chose not to throw to him; game changer plays. Yes, we won a close one, Baker only press-passed once which ended up a great int. Yes, Lamar completed 11 of 17, 3 of those maybe should have been caught. But he also should have connected on two others, both would have been first downs, one to Andrews likely a score instead of a punt. Hey, pick your poison; 120+ yards on the ground plus 150 in the air still equals 30 on the ground, 300 in the air. But, look at the interview from Diggs, he wanted out of Min because they wanted to focus more on running. No way would he come here.. So, while Snead loves to play here, how will this team get a bona fide number one to come here? In any even, I am glad to have him. Sure, you might get lucky, have a great defense, a great running game and win the Super Bowl with a Brad Johnson type qb as Ten is trying to do, as the Ravens did with Trent Dilfer, but in today's NFL, you better have a play maker at qb, who can either do what Mahomes, Brady, Rogers, Wilson can do or maybe like Lamar can do; either way it is going to cost you a lot of money..
  10. I know they gave up a lot of pts, but watch the game again if you can. They defense actually played better than the score indicates. Let us not forget, the first score by the Browns was helped by 2 very questionable calls, one for roughing, that wasn't, one for pi, Smith barely layed a hand on the guy and it would have been 4th down. Mayfield was just over 50% completion for the game. I think if they meet again, Wink will adjust to tight man coverage all game. They just wore out because of the 3 games, 2 very tough ones, in a short time, near the end of the season. With the injuries and covid players missing, they just did not have any fuel in the tank. Of note also, Lamar had 124 yards rushing with halfnof the 3rd quarter remaining and all of the 4th; he didn't run any more after that, it was all passing, after passing a bowel movement.... He akso completed a pass from the pocket on a comeback route, that was huge. If they can keep doing that, then there is no sky to limit this offense. Why? With their pass rush, a very good one, the make shift line took another step of playing together. Lamar had good time in the pocket in the 2nd half. A lot of encouragement from this game. While it will be a "short" week by a day, because of the previous real short weeks, this will appear to them to feel like a normal work week.
  11. Great question, pro days I am sure will happen, they can quarantine, then get together. Combine, maybe, with a bubble, a lot depends on the vaccine
  12. I have to add, the officiating was horrible
  13. I recorded the game, great, enjoyable, restful, full night of sleep. Wow what a game, hats off to the players, the coaching staffs, the medical team. I won't fault the defense for giving up two 14 pt leads, nor for allowing 22 pts in thr 4th. Covid has ripped this team to its core, they just didn't have the rest they needed, the practice, the extra bodies to play special teams; they are gassed and still gave it everything. That pick was insane, one handed and changed the game. The offense, wow, hope Trace is okay, but simply spectacular, even with some drops, some missed passes, some missed bkocks, THEY STAID WITH THE RUNNING DUO OF GUS AND JK! WOO-HOO! Lamar, one note- eat more fruits & veggies, especial high in potassium during the week. Hydration is a 10 day process.... He was fabulous, focussed, electric. Who knows how far this team will go, but rest up, it's gonna be a journey.
  14. What's the over under on discipline penalties? False starts, blown coverages, missed gap assignments, illegal formations? I say 8... Man my knees are killing me, big snow storm on the way, I love sports!
  15. It's a big game, will Lamar and the offense show up?
  16. Wow, Mahomes was sacked for 30 yards! A 30 yard sack by the best qb in the NFL, NO, not a fumbled snap
  17. Wait, wait a minute Mister Spen... How do you know Boykin is not running his routes properly? So it's okay for you to say how a player should play, but not for anyone else? Gotcha pal.
  18. Taylor Swift is the face of this team... (Google)
  19. So size matters? Now you tell me..... Boykin is 6'6"", he gets single coverage on 9 , 7, crossing routes, yet Lamar rarely throws to him... Hmmmm (sarcasm)
  20. Yeah, they used to draft quantity, now they really need to draft quality, even if they only get 3 players from this draft. I know the cap is going to be tight, but to land a Pitts, or a D Smith from Bama who has really improved his hamds over the past two years. Rousseau from Miami is interesting, big, quick, but a one year wonder, makes a lot of plays because of his size, athleticism, rather than strength & talent for the next level. But he could be taught, and if he works at it, he could be the pass rusher this team has needed since Suggs..
  21. I say this with all due respect Spen, I am not attacking you, just differing on our opinions. No, Lamar is not Brady, I was not mentioning Brady to compare him to Lamar. I do not expect Lamar to throw the way Brady does, my point was about the quality of receivers and the route combinations used. If NE had bottled up Brady by using only crossing routes, only plays designed to run between the numbers they would not have won so many championships nor would Brady be a top tier qb in NFL history. So they question remains; why do the Ravens only use route combinations that go over the middle? There are no out routes, no comback routes which means there can be no double moves. Year one, okay, good running game, solid defense, bring the rookie along slowly, limit turnovers. Year 2, start adding them in. Year 3, here we are, still none of those routes, yet we have the turnovers. Why? Because as the Pit defenders said; they knew the route combinations so they jumped the routes= pick 6. Defenses this year are keying on the middle of the field, playing zone to one side, man to the other. This requires timing routes, for the ball to be thrown one step back after the snap in shotgun. How many times has Lamar done that? How many times have we heard with fast guys; if he is even he is leaving? Brown is that type of fast. Why do you think Brown was so upset this year?! Man coverage, no safety help, Lamar will not throw him the ball down the sidelines.. That speaks volumes. Time will tell, I honestly want and do expect Lamar to improve. The nock, and you can google it, on Lamar coming out of college was that he couldn't read defenses, couldn't throw with anticipation because of it. Those can be taught-learned, but he has yet to show he has learned it....
  22. That's just it Spen, I have not made my mind up on Lamar. You claim to be objective, acuse others of not being, claim to use facts but when we do, you laugh them off. Pot meet kettle sir. I have no issue with a running qb, my issue is not only the types of throws he makes but with the play design as well; coaching. What we, the fans, cannot know is why this team, the play calling, play designs, are so limited. Do you not think it odd that the only time we had a comback route, thrown on time, accurately, was when Trace was in? And no, he is not a better qb than Lamar, he too cannot make all of the throws but that is because he lacks the arm strength needed.
  23. Diggs is the best, Ravens have a better tight end, other than that I think it is pretty even. This may be an extreme example, but look what Brady did in NE with average at best receivers. This was largely because of his talent, but also becauee of how they used those receivers; route combinations, Brady's ability to make all of the throws. Here, Lamar can't make all of the throws, he has the arm for sure, but his confidence or the time he has in the pocket keep him from even attempting some of those throws. Troy said it best the other night. Some patterns have to be thrown on time, before the receiver even makes his cut, his move. We rarely see Lamar make that type of throw.. Now, Allen was this way his first 2 years as well, and he made the move so far this year. Can Lamar?
