  1. Best of Ed Reed mic'd up Great, the 1st player in league history to return a fumble, a punt, a blocked punt and an interception for a touchdown https://youtu.be/o6ninp14kQs?si=eBO48k8QoTExunKq
  2. To be fair, he had a lis frac injury, that is a two year recoup for a receiver especially one as shifty as he. So he missed a lot of time with Lamar. Now that he is fully healthy, we are seeing the rewards.
  3. 2 punts, 6 straight scoring drives. All the while the defense kept the Bucs from scoring 6 straight times, twice with a turnover. I'll give the defense a little credit, 7 of the 31 were not on them, that fumble by Flowers on the bad pass that was returned and no one could tackle the guy
  4. Welp, stack, stack, stack
  5. I'm sure the league is not happy about a flag fest, watching the game now, 3 straight plays of penalties, 2 holdings, 1 offensive pass interference, 8 total for the game. 9 for Tampa, so at least they were consistent. Tucker with another convincing 52 yard field goal. 3rd and 26, 2nd and 17, 3rd and goal from the 40, yes, they overcame them. But between the defense and the penalties, let's get this cleaned up, this offense is too incredible to waste. Best offense for the Ravens, ever. Even better than the 2019, better than the Vinnie/Byner/Jackson/Alexander
  6. I went to bed after the 1st quarter, Tampa looked much faster, more prepared. Shoot, even Mike Evans on a bad hammy scored. But it was his only catch. The line could not block a blade of grass... Then I awake to this? The line did it's job once again, the D clamped down, for a quarter at least. Lamar, 17 of 22! 5 touchdowns! Henry with 160+ yards rushing! 2 Picks from Humph, 1 in the endzone! Hope he is okay. With Tampa trying to take away Flowers, Bateman stood up! A win, against a really good team, make no bones about that. But, this defense is still a mess, broken coverages still haunt them. They gave up 21 pts in the 4th quarter, could not get off the field on 3rd down. Tampa dominated the time of possession, even with the Ravens ruahing for over 200 yards. Something has to change on defense, you can't win in the playoffs like this, with this defense.
  7. That scamper by Mahomes along the sidelines is why qbs who runs near the sidelines will get blasted even if they are heading out of bounds. Good move by him to help his team, bad move for all qbs
  8. Brave man papa, that is a thankless job so let me say thank you (I vote by mail)
  9. This was both the worse and best thing that could happen. Best, they get him off the field, maybe win a few games. Worse, as you said, they are officially stuck with that contract for at least 2 more years
  10. I only made it to half time, it was bad. Turned on a movie instead, it too was bad, but sometimes a bad movie is better than a bad football game
  11. Appears to have torn his Achilles tendon, if so, done for the year. I've never seen so many of these types of injuries..
  12. Works every time, say they can't, then they do, 14-0 Iggles, 4 mins left in the half
  13. All of that talent on the Eagles offense and they cant string together more than 2 or 3 first downs and can't score Against the hapless Giants too boot..m end of the first, 0-0
  14. A common misconception, after all, they draft so many Bama players..
  15. True, but Stephens didn't go there
  16. Hardy, Harrison, Ali, out, Washington doubtful, Hardy to Ir
  17. Per Espn, Evans is a game time decision, didn't practice Thursday nor Friday, hamstring...
  18. Let us not forget, he is still raw, give him time. He started out his college career playing runningback at UCLA, for 3 years before he graduated and transferred to SMU, where they switched him to corner.
  19. The Ravens defense is do for a pick or two, Stephens especially. He has only been beat by perfect throws and incredible catches this year. Wiggins too is do for a pick. I could see them get one or two this game..
  20. Billy B & Peyton Manning analyze Lamar https://youtu.be/aK3iUt1eXhU?si=TGq9yl5WDhdS6uO1
  21. New Coach Podcast up on the YouTube Tube with Billy B and Matt Patricia, good stuff. This week going over the coverages teams, like the Bucs, use, this week, Fire 3 & Fire 4. Outstanding stuff
  22. Yeah, the way to stop slant is not just on the corner, though he obviously plays the biggest roll. But it also comes down to the backers getting width in their drops. It is not easy, it happen so quickly. You also run the risk of opening the middle up even more. But lining up the corner or slot man, if the slot is the slant pattern, to the inside of the receiver is a big help. This falls on film study, on teaching techniques. Humph did a great job taking a chance against Chase & Burrow at the end, jumping that route for a key pick. It started with him recognizing the tendency, then I believe he lined up shaded to the inside shoulder of Chase.
  23. 4 wins in a row is very nice, i remember a quote from Humph, we talked about it after they lost 2 in a row to start the season, how a teammate who played in Tampa was it, started off like that then came together and won 10 straight. This team seems to have taken that to heart. Listen to them talk about stacking plays, drives, wins together. Using this regular season to figure out what works, to prepare for the post season. The defense doesn't have to be AS focussed on their rush lanes. Yes Baker can scramble as good as most normal qbs, but he is no Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels. Yes, he is playing as well as anyone, can make any throw, he especially likes the back shoulder throw when in the redzone, and he is very good at it. But, he has a weakness, he thinks he can fit the ball into tiny spaces; sorry, he is no Brett Favre. Attack the pocket, by pushing into him from up front. Get those long arms up, he is short, can't see well and you csn frustrate him by tiping his passes. I exoect to see a lot more of Urban in this game. Defensively, they have given up 18 plays of 20 or more, only 4 other teams have given up more, sadly our Ravens are one of them, dead last in that category. They are 9th in the league for sacks with 17, the Ravens have generated 19. Yes, the Ravens defense will need help from the offense, no turnovers, time consuming drives, score touchdowns. Keep those penalties as a team down, it is sadly a Monday night game, I am sure the league was not happy about the flag fest this past Monday, so maybe they will let these two teams play. Five game win streak would be awesome, a loss does not negate the hard work that they have already put in, but...
  24. Okay, it didn't look like that to me, but then, I am a TV viewer...
  25. Agreed, he has shown that the deep sidelines, even the deep corner routes he can't throw. Nor can he throw the back shoulder, a very difficult one to master. Not every qb, good or bad, can. Dropping it in the bucket down field, a real dime pass, not the darts these idiot announcers claim are dimes. He has yet to show that type of touch. Then again, he has not had the need nor the time in the pocket required, yet. Even so, you saw what the Comandos tried, single high safety to make sure the deep shots were covered. Man to man, rush everyone else. The issue is, this leaves the deep middle, under the safety behind the backers wide open for crossing routes, for tighends to roam. Go zone and it is just waiting for the window, which he has gotten so much at doing. Rush 8 and it gets blocked properly or even 1 gets through, if Lamar breaks the pocket, he is off on a 30 yard run. That is the real threat, more so than a dime 50 yards down field. Flowers and Bateman showed, a 15 yard route in man, means make one man miss, you are 50 yards down field easily.
