  1. The breeze here in Middle River is enough to affect the ball, kicking and throwing. Now sure about in Bmore
  2. Otay, here we go. Keep those rush lanes, squeeze the pocket, don't over rush and let him break out. Top team announcing today, I do love Nanz and Romo, contrary to some I am sure, it a beauty day for a football game, let's play
  3. Look, we talked about this when Orr was hired, even as the games went along. Especially after the defensive melt down in Dallas. We agreed, contrary to many fans, that Orr just needed time. Then Buffalo happened. Even the first game with Kc the defense played well, the pass defense. They shined against Buffalo but we are seeing that maybe, Buffalo is not the team we thought, yet. Even so, it appeared that Orr, the defense was starting to gell. Granted, Cinci has one of the best passing attacks in the league. However, when coupled with the melt down in Dallas in the 2nd half, and even the ones the last few years under McDonald, something says troubled. If we are to believe Harbs, that Orr came to him and said:" I need help, I'm in over my head", that my friend is alarming to me. I have no issue with him calling Pees every week seeking advice, a sounding board. Listen to Bill Bellicheck's pod cast, a great one, even he had a confidante, believes in team coaching. I applaud Orr for realizing he is over matched. But as I said, that means that he is the wrong person for the job. Why? As you said, his positional coaches, he chose, have a defense that gave up 16 pts per game last year, now giving up twice that this year. Why? Are they teaching the wrong keys? Even if they are, these are mostly experienced players who know how to read an offense's keys, especially one they play twice per year. How does a guy like Hamilton forget how to tackle? To cover? Maybe this is one way the players are showing, subconsciously, that Orr is not the guy? Is Pees really going to help? If Orr has been talking to him for weeks, is Pees really the problem? Frankly, I would rather have brought in someone like Salah, a fresh set of eyes, let Orr keep talking to Pees, unpaid, as he has done. Bill B seems to think the issues on defense, when asked about the Ravens defense, are fixable. Now maybe that was a politically correct answer, but I believe him. Why? Because aside from one or two players, these are the same guys who shut down offenses last year.
  4. I don't know. All that I do know is that these are basically the players as years past. They are in position to make plays, but don't. Sure, they can stop the run, but they have given up almost the most points in the league at this point. Contrary to the past year and years. Red zone is terrible, coverage is atrocious. It is not the d line, they are getting pressure with four, with FOUR! Yet time and again someone, who last year for example, was in position to make a play and made, is not this year. Last week the slant was killing this team. It took almost the entire for Humph to adjust and jump the route. Why? Did he finally have coverage over the top? Did he just say screw it, I'm taking the chance that it is not a slant & go? Did these guys just stop learning and forget their keys?
  5. Ever see Brady when things go wrong with his team? Yeah, pouty, sad, mad, belligerent. No great looking leadership in those cases. Looks can be deceiving. Listen to VanNoy, who knows about leadership, yes?
  6. Na, clearly they were wrong in thinking Orr was the right coach. If it were a case of other coaches teaching wrong, Orr's job is to correct them as much as anything. This is a last ditch effort to save a championship caliber team. No way, with the defense as it pertains to the first five games was going to be viable for a playoff run.

  8. Just listen to other players, even some in media, they will tell you that behind the scenes, Lamar is quite different this year, far more of a leader in word and work.
  9. It is a good idea, but will this have a negative affect on Orr? Clearly they feel that Orr is not quite ready, at least that is what it appears to me....

  11. Roquan was that leader last year, it appears, so far, Lamar and Derick have stepped up as well. Sharpened was great, how good could Heap have been with a real quarterback? He was outstanding to begin with, but man he might have made the Hall. I will never forget that catch, run, dive he made in the Chargers game, unreal.
  12. Hilarious https://youtu.be/edeZ26ZgT_4?si=SWTzumRyLKBHLPTP
  13. As I said earlier, Allen was 9 of 30. He appeared to have a concussion, hit his head hard on the ground, went limp in one hand. Was seen getting smelling salts, wonderful stuff, on the sidelines, team claims he has a sprained ankle. More interesting, he didn't complete a single pass after he returned. Seems some investigation is in order
  14. Well, well, we'll, this ought to be a goosey! Two quarterbacks who can run like the wind, dance like a deer. Oh, did I forget to mention they can throw as well. Two former Heisman winners! Daniels is Lamar-esque, but more accurate right now. How could a rookie be that good so soon? Just look at all of the football he played in college, 3 years in the pack 12, 2 years in the sec, yes, he is battle tested. He has already thrown for 1,135 yards, with 4 touchdowns and two picks thrown 1 each in the past two games. He is completing an eye popping 77% of his passes in this new season. But how good of defenses has he played? Tampa, NyG, Cinci, Arizona, Cleveland. Yes he beat two AFC North teams, a shoot out with Cinci, a drubbing of Cleveland this past week. The Comandos are averaging 34 pts per game through 5 games and Daniels is the main reason why. A pocket passer with the wheels to glide through the field, yes he looks like he is standing still, but he is really moving at the speed of light. While Lamar is 21-1 against the NFC, this one might be a shoot out like the Ravens just had with Cinci. Washington is 2nd in the league rushing, but are 22nd in the league stopping the run. Their defense is 24th in the league against the pass, allowing qbs to complete better than 67% of their passes. Their offense is 18th in the league, averaging 226 yards per game. Daniels has been sacked 12 times. So buckle up, this should be a fun one! Who ya got?
  15. Me too but sometimes to get rid of the yipps, you just need to make one.
  16. Papa, buddy, you read my run down on plays. Yes, he fumbled 2 snaps, missed open guys. Every qb misses open guys from time to time. But, you knew this was coming, Few if any qb could do what he did with this line. The right side is still terrible. Faalele whiffs often on blocks, Roasegarden is barely passable as a right tackle right now. It is Lamar's ability, quickness, speed, that gets him out of jams. Even with his mistakes, he put up huge numbers on a day when he had to, no defense, no running game. That 100 yards rushing per game record is a joke, it was no consistent enough to help. Cinci was rush blitzing most of the game. It is why so many guys were wide open in the middle of the field and Lamar found them. 9 different receivers, 350+ yards, what, 61% completion is not fantastic but still solid, 4 touchdowns. Oh, while he played meh in the first half, he turned it around in the 2nd half when neither defense could stop a toddler. I don't know what this season will be, I do know, that there is no dominant team this year, every team has holes, even the Chiefs.
  17. Humph left the locker room with a boot on his foot...
  18. The great Josh Allen went 9 of 30 in their loss to the Texans. Not a typo, I had to do a double take, not 19, not 29, but 9 of 30
  19. 56 yards, it hugged the left up right, but it was good. I hope that this took the proverbial monkey off of his back. To kick the short game winner I'm sure felt even better
  20. I was 12 years old when this game started, I look in the mirror now, Im 58
  21. Lamar, 26 of 42 for 348, 4 touchdowns, no picks plus 12 rushes for 55 yards with one fumble, lost. What a game. Again I say, we don't have enough passing weapons? 9 different receivers, 3 different tightends, all making huge plays Why go into debt for a one year rental?
  22. Bad hold caused it, he drops it 4:26 left 1st and 10 from their 43 Henry on a sweep to the left goes for 51 yards! Tucker from 24 yards is Good! RAVENS WIN 41-38 Every aspect of the team redeemed it self, Tucker with two Field Goals, Lamar with passing, the defense with key stops and a turnover. Yes, they made it harder than it should have been, look at Bama, who rested on their laurels, or Miami who had to comeback from a triple digit deficit to Cal for a win. But the Ravens pulled it out!
  23. He missed it, he missed it, he missed it
  24. Right in his chest, man, this was our game to win. They take over at the Eavens 38 Run up the middle for no gain
  25. Lamar fumbles the snap, Bengals recover
