  1. If I hear one more person say Earl Thomas, Tony Jefferson are good, I will smack them. If I hear one more person say this defense is good, I will puke on them. 1st and 25 is no worry for offenses when facing this defense, just group 3 receivers together, hit the one they leave wide open. I am 53 years old, I've never seen so many receivers wide open, never. This defense stinks.
  2. I do it often than more, mostly because I want to make sure when someone says; excuse me, when they don't realize they have walked in front me, or about to walk into me. I say, it is all right or no problem and want to make sure they hear me by also using hand signals. I just want to reassure them I understand they just didn't see me. Some days I have my invisible cloak on it seems. Like when I ask for 2 or three from a cashier or wait person, I put up 2 or 3 fingers. It is just a habbit of mine, becuase some have trouble of hearing me, I don't speak loudly very often.
  3. Oh I get it papa, I'm just having conversation here, these are just "signs" a person may, might, could be in a gang or hate group. It is all just info that some groups use certain signs, color of clothes to communicate wifh each other in public, in secret. I get it, but I hope my point came across as well. People do innocent things for various reasons but appear to be evil to those not in the know.
  4. Max watch out, the bowl cut has also been added. Time to up date your hair style, ok?
  5. Over under 44, maybe that will be easier to predict...
  6. Nope, unless you are in England, then the first finger is OKAY....
  7. On the other hand, pun intended, she could be picking her thumb out of anxiety, you know what they say about assuming.... Don't judge a book by its cover, people used to say, now they claim abuse every day. When I was a college student, we used to make weird hand signals during pictures being taken, not knowing some of them could be taken 30 years later as a symbol of gang relations. We were stoners having fun... This world today looks for snakes under every rock rather than just enjoying the sight of the rock and not disturbing the life that lives underneath.
  8. So, if you saw me in public, or remember what I look like when we used to meet at tailgates, shaved head, goatee, and I flash an ok sign to say, you, who had a shaved head, across the parking lot, who wanted me to bring him a beer, someone might think we were white supremacist. And the fight might ensue... The defendents now might get out of the hospital and have no charges filed because after all, we were flashing hate speech....
  9. This may be the hardest one to predict, for me atleast. Which Lamar shows up? Which Mayfield shows up? Does the defensive back 7 play better together? It's at home, one would think the Ravens win, pt spread was 7 now it's 5.5, I'll take the Ravens by 4, 24-20
  10. I hate very little, in fact bout the only thing I hate are oinions and the word hate. But now I hate the ADL, seriously... Some white supremacist groups, some black, hispanic, chinese hate groups eat oreos too, are we gonna ban then too? Cuz dems fight'n words especially the golden oreos.. https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/09/26/us/adl-new-hate-symbols/index.html
  11. Need to be careful with the sky is falling, world is gonna end and just speak to them. Most people stop listening when ultimatums are used.
  12. Well, here is a sure way of blowing out team or getting beaten by blowing out pride... But there is more.... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27699724/thomas-says-ravens-got-tired-browns-hype
  13. We know the answer to that one, how long has he been head coach? If he taint lurnd dat bi naw, he caint lurnd tit tat awl
  14. We shall see; 1) Will the defense improve? 2) Which Lamar do we have? Accurate, touch, anticipation, reading coverage? 3) Wide outs get seperation, run proper, timing routes? 4) Play selection- play design to help the aforementioned 5) Ball contrrol to help #1 These three weeks should answer all of these questions..
  15. It should be interesting, if the defense doesn't improve, then the Ravens either win 107-99 or lose 107-99 in each of the next 3 games..... Hold onto your hats, buckle your seat belts get the excedrine and tums ready folks, this might be a bumpy ride... Arms & legs inside the vehicle are optipnal...
  16. Maybe, but the league said it would do a proper investigation of every employee back ground. If this reporter used easy checks, how is it the league missed them?
  17. We all knew something like was always happening, the standards players are held up to (and the difference between star and average player) and those held for coaches. But this, domestic violence, takes things to an entirely new level. Antonio Brown was not far off when he mentioned big Ben and Kraft, maybe he didn't go far enough. Or maybe, what he posted inspired the excellent article... https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/news/investigations/2019/09/18/nfl-domestic-violence-coach-hiring-red-flags/2215153001/
  18. I like Rudolph, I think he will be a very good qb in this league. Now, if the Steelers will just open things up, go up tempo, Mason will take off...
  19. Kinda reminds ya of the 96 Ravens; score 70 pts on offense, defense gives up 85.... Maybe we just need to; R-E-L-A-X Other wise we might need exlax...
  20. Even more, or no more... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27683817/jags-ramsey-calls-sick-amid-trade-demand
  21. Well said 82, well said.
  22. Papa, 3 times Lamar did not throw the ball to 1) Ingram- when the team was in the redzone. Ingram was wide open on the right side, a receiver in front of him to block. If Lamar hits him, easy touchdown, saves a minute & a half. (They scored a few plays later) 2) In the redzone, Brown on a short crosser, at the 5 yard line, 3rd & 3, Lamar keeps it and runs for the first down. The Ravens scored a few plays later, but they could have saved another 30 seconds or so. 3) 1 and 10 from the 20, redzone, Andrew is on a corner route, db has inside leverage, Brown is on a short, comeback route, tightly covered. Andrews was wide open, especially with a timing pass, Lamar scrambled and threw it away. Again, another score, saving time on the clock. This does not count the long throws to Brown who beat his man coverage 3 times and was well over thrown each time. This does tell us, even with out the 12 man view, that the receivers were getting open and either Lamar over threw them or, did not anticipate, nor read the coverage. Given the very difficult catches several players made, we have to conclude the receivers are better this year than the year(s) prior when they a) could not get open and b)could not make contested catches. Lamar's stats look bad, but with out the prevent defense at the end and 2 very lucky plays, his stats would look even worse. Maybe this was just the team expecting too much by making him pass early & often dispite the run game dominating. Maybe he was pressing and losing his throwing mechanics. Time will tell. What we do know is that the previous two games he was hitting wide open receivers, while having the same time in the pocket today. So it appeaars he was just looking for the first read/ open man and not reading a defense. That was one of my concerns when they drafted him, that he can't read coverages. Again, time will tell.. In any event, this season should still be fun to watch, the division as Max said is still wide open. But as you & I know, this defense, the secondary, the linebackers, are in trouble. The defensive line was exhausted from the pressure they kept trying to put on and not having any depth there; that is on the cpach & gm....
  23. The running game is better, Ingram, Edwards, far better as is the offensive line; running game even without Lamar's stats was awesome. I know KC's defense was not good against the run, but Ingram, especially, made serious yards after contact. The wide outs are better at adjusting to the ball, making contested catches. Haven't seen that in a while. Now, why did Lamar have so much time to throw but no be able to find anyone open? Was that him or were the receivers unable to get open? We rarely saw Lamar throw with any anticipation, so I would say it was all him. He regressed this game; typical of young qbs... Or is this the norm for him? The defense is clearly worse than last year, tackling, coverage, linebackers scraping, holding an edge, falling for screens. I don't want to hear injuries are the reason because that is not it; the entire defense once again got scorched, left wide open receivers. As I said on the facebook page when this site was down, after the Cards game; this team is good enough to destroy pethetic teams, beat bad teams, but not good enough to beat good teams consistently. The coaching is horrible from the head coach. Papa & I have said this for years; Harbs is a terrible coach. Wins, Super Bowl, dispite him. Every year this team is undisciplined and he makes horrible choices in challenges, in -in game decisions entirely. Maybe if, IF Lamar is able to read, really read a defense not just look for someone to be open, this team can win more than they lose. This league is weak this year, anything can happen. But right now, the evidence is clear; he can only complete passes to qide open receivers in front of him, or get lucky. He never throws with anticipation, never has, not in college and so far not in this league. Today, he missed 4 wide open touchdowns, 2 would have changed this game, the other two the team scored anyway.
  24. This game never felt this close, even when the Ravens scored first....
  25. A screen, fitting to end the game...
