On signing Colin Kaepernik; "pray for us". Yeah, he gets it all right...
-
I think he is just pandering, his apology did not sound real, the only real thing he did was lower the cost of food. The up grades to video, big deal, you go to watch the game live, not on tv.... Escalators, took them long enough, but those things are not going to draw the Ravens back. They pandered once again by signing a black washed up qb, then took a huge gamble by trading up for an "exciting player at the qb poaition, also black. It's like bringing your black friends to a party to "prove" you are not racist. It's adding a running qb, completely contrary to your offense, just because he is exciting. Since so many think Joe stinks, if that is the case, then just like receiver, the Ravens will have never developed a qb either, so what makes people think they can now, with a truly raw talent? The Biscutt gets it all right, he knows how to pull the wool over people's eyes with out them knowing...

And the punter, usually giving the defense a long field to work with. How gratifying is it when an offense goes on a 10 + play, 7 + minute drive ending in a touchdown? We've seen that sometimes in each season, but just not often enough and rarely to end a game. Some of that is on the players, more of it is on the play calling. How many times have we seen the offense get the running game going for chunks in a drive, only to have the coordinator call pass plays, ending the drive, not even play action!

Some good news, concessions being reduced
tsylvester replied to tsylvester's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Well, I was wrong, I honestly thought they would pull a Kolhs, discount items nobody wants, putting the prices at a level of their true worth.. Ripoff.. But no, they came through! -
Dez Bryant isn’t wrong for passing on Ravens offer
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Oh boy another fan site that is giving a slanted opinion... I am glad he turned them down, the blog should have focused on the poor personnel decisions Ozzie has made over the past five + years and compared them with the ones he made since he took over way back when.. It should also be a two part blog looking at the decisions made since "Eric became the next man up" to see if he made any of them this off season or if he just sat on his hands... -
Well, good news if you a) go to the games and b) pay their exorbitant prices to buy food & drink... Across the board? Ummm no.... Cass will reveal the price changes Thursday, oh how we wait with baited breath.. http://m.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Reducing-Concession-Prices-at-MT-Bank-Stadium/b2be20d3-1c63-4cee-a874-d65eed62d70b

And the horse crap of the day award goes to
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Why do you read that wrag? As for the RoH, it stopped being one when Byner was put up there. I would also say when the Colts were put up there but at least them, I could understand. -
Why would they need more cap space? It's not as if that is a ton, I wonder if they are planning to bring in some one like say the receiver who rejected them earlier because he only wants a one year deal? Stupid move, I agree... Jefferson, so far has been a disappointing player ....

How fast is the (Lamar Jackson) clock ticking for Joe Flacco?
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Billick always had a short throw to get the yac, he thought it a better option. His words, again, how do you know the play call or play design? Quarterbacks look ofd safeties and sbs all the time, to move them, how do you know if Joe was doing that to open up the underneath routes? -

tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
So you know what play was called? Maybe the check down was the number 1. Not all the time, granted, none the less, if the receiver is suppose to break his route off at 8 yards but he miss counted and breaks it off at 10 yards, that route takes a bit longer which doesn't give Joe more time because the line gives in. Or, Joe throws it timed at 8 yards and the ball comes up short. So how do you know who is to blame? Or, if Joe reads the safety coming on a blitz and the receiver reads it as a fake blitz and each has a different route in mind, how do you know which one is right? -

So you know what his progressions are per each play & game? You know which routes are timing routes, what his hot reads are? -

And the line and the play calling and while Matt is a better qb, the results will be mostly the same; save for one less Super Bowl. -

Yeah cause the Ravens have better receivers....... -
Maybe, time will tell.

No other team was going to sign RG, so he almost had no choice. I get the feeling his signing was a "make up" signing for the Kaep debacle...

I just don't see how they could have rated Hurst over Ridley, I guess time will tell.

This is from the same article as the wide receiver discussion, while the author doesn't go as far as I will, it is a nice snippet of "evidence" that seems to be, have been a reoccurring issue with this front office. Yes, I am sure every team can say they had a player they targeted taken right before their pick, however... I wonder, was he over ruled by Ozzy and "forced" to trade down or was it essentially business as usual, running into traffic to pick up a penny? There is no,as we talked about on draft day, monetary difference to pick a player in rd 3 rather than rd 2. Quite the trend, are the Ravens, as the Biscuit eluded to in one of the pressers pre draft, still under valuing players? Why wait if the player you are targeting is not only there for value, but also for a position of need? So it happened again & again this draft, who is to blame? This is not to say for certain the players in previous drafts that the Ravens "just missed getting" would have turned out the same, but there is a good chance they would. Only time will tell if the players missed out on because they traded back will be true difference makers, but that is not the point. The point is still, that it keeps happening even when Ozzy knows his day is cpming to step away. This snippet really speaks volumes- Really? I believe Jeff, he is a good writer, pays close attentipn to the team well. But what kind or moron trades out & out, down to the 6th & 7th and then tries to trade back up for players they, you guessed it, under valued? If they had ranked them properly they would not have missed out or moved out to get a better value on them in the first place. I hope Eric learned his lesson, I hope 1 or 2 of the 12 drafted players turns out and the Ravens, us fans don't look back and see how badly the front office missed, or how well the players the Ravens under valued who were taken by others could have changed this team.... http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-ravens-news-notes-20180503-story.html

How fast is the (Lamar Jackson) clock ticking for Joe Flacco?
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
What a mess it will be if the offense takes off now that they finally get him some help, sort of.... Either way there is no way they trade back into the first for a qb and not play him in year 2; none. The fans will revolt, ... So Joe is a sitting duck, a lame one as is Harbs unless this team makes a deep run in the playoffs. -
Matt Ryan get extended, $100 mil guarenteed.
