  1. Well, the Ravens weren't Able to draft Cain..... So they took- Anfhony Averett cb Bama, oy
  2. What was their eval of Max Williams pre draft........
  3. Here is hoping Tyrell Crosby, Ot with good strenth and quick feet is drafted, & or Bradly Boseman, center, (since no Bama players have been selected, shocking) taking a chance on Anthonio Calloway, best prospect wide out even with the pot issues.. Maurice Hurst, because of a great deal at this point, everyone loves a big defensive tackle. Need a power back for short yardage, Bo Scarborough, Bama is a good pick.. Just to name a few....
  4. That is a bit of fake news. Vick had one good season with Phili, after that he was back to a 50% completion, 12 td-10 pick quarterback. Is that what you want for a 1st round multi pick quarterback? Don't we have that now?
  5. I've seen a lot of the two they chose to draft, they are good but not game changing. Neither blocks very well and they are not mismatched when in pass coverage. Good hands, yes, hard workers, yes, but they have that already on the team in Boyle and Williams. Granted, one can't stay healthy the other off of peds, and both have contracts ending. But again, value was not there and especially with the 2nd tight end, it makes no sense when center is needed... Hey, I hope I am wrong and these guys turn out great. I just think we are looking at Dan Cody, Trent Smith, Mark Clayton, Devard Darling, you know, great pre draft write ups, who turned out to be busts...
  6. Sorry, I disagree. The talent value the Ravens needed; offensive line, wide out, tight end, inside linebacker, was in the first 3 rounds. They back loaded this draft, trying to save 2 cents per gallon of gas by driving 50 miles to a station selling it cheaper than everyone else. There is no significant monitary difference between drafting Hurst at 22 or at 26: none. They wanted Moore at 26, but they got out drafted and lost him, so they went into panic mode and took Hurst when they maybe should have taken Ridley. I bet that was the debate that took them so long to make the pick. There is no "value" when you move down 2 spots in the 3rd and take Brown; none. No advantage to taking another tight end I don't care what their board said, when you need at the very least a back up center; and there was a starting center left on the board when they took another tight end who can't block. There is no significant monetary advantage to drafting players in the 4th or 5th round; none. It is clear, they got too cute, the way they rank players on their board is all messed up, it has been for years. Thus, missing the playoffs 3 straight years, drafting at 16 two years in a row. This draft may very well go down as one of the worst in franchise history. Oh and they gave up a 2nd round pick next year as well....
  7. This is the worst draft iv ever seen, ever.
  8. What a bloody wasted draft! Are they serious or drunk? The Andrews pick shows how stupid thr pick of Hurst then they draft a lazy, week tackle who likely won't be on the team in 2 or 3 years... What bunch of clows. May as well call them the Browns..
  9. Seeing what has been taken so far, slim picken left...
  10. Max, they said Max Williams was the best tight end in the draft. I hope I am wromg, but Hurst is not the best in this draft, nor do I think he will be much better than what the Ravens have now...
  11. One of the best lines in the league? Mkay.... Enjoy your night...
  12. Yeah, the one reason is he doesn't have time to make a 2nd read. Sorry, but Joe does know how to read defenses, you showed a little ignorance with that statement...
  13. They can likely land Cole, center from Michigan, in the 3rd, he is a plug & play type player. I am not sure they have enough draft picks to move up into the 2nd, I just hope they don't draft Orland Brown Jr,.... I would love to see Kirk drafted, he can return kicks while he adjusts to the NFL behind the Snead.
  14. Jensen sucked, ran over often, now he is some other team's problem.. 2-3rds, 2-4ths, a 6th & 7th..
  15. True, they don't have many left, so it will be interesting to see what they do tonight.
  16. So there are still some good wide outs left, Christian Kirk, Courtland Sutherland, Anthony Miller to name a few.. But will they be around in round three or are they worth trading up for in round 2.....
  17. Look, we here are not saying he will fail nor that we want him to fail; you are either very over sensitive or just trolling. We, me, just pointed out his flaws, what he needs to work on, the major one, reading defenses. Some can learn that, most cannot, thus why most quarterbacks who are drafted fail in the NFL, MOST. His accuracy issues can be fixed to some extent, again, for some it has been fixed, for others it never could be, some people are just not skilled with accuracy. He seems like a great guy, good head on his shoulders, I hope, from a personal perspective, he makes it. From a fan point of view, I hope he is a hall of famer who leads this team to many championships. But the odds are that he will not, not because he is black but because some 90% or higher of drafted quarterbacks fail, it jumps even higher with the run first qbs, because they are usually slight in frame and get injured in the NFL, where players are just as fast. My biggest issue is what they gave up for him, given what they need now.
  18. Wow, he will join the terrible MNF crew.... Hall of Fame can't be far off for him. Guess Gesicki will be the Cowboys next draft pick. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/23336174/jason-witten-dallas-cowboys-pondering-joining-monday-night-football-analyst
  19. What is even scarier is if this was all Decosta....
  20. Well, they got Baker, but over reached on pick 4... Some might say they over reached for Baker as well...
  21. It makes no sense when you really look at it. They trade down twice, then take the entire 8 minutes to select Hurst. What? They didn't think he would be there? Then why trade down twice? Was there still debate over which tight end? That is a worry. Was it a debate between Hurst and a wide out? Were they shocked when Moore went ahead of them and scrambled to pick Hurst as a fill in? Then why trade down twice? Just pick Moore at 22... You spend all those draft picks to get a quarterback who can't read a defense, who is not yet a pocket passer, whose weight is going to fluctuate downward, not good. They need a starting tackle & center, sure, they might find one in the 3rd, 2 picks. They might trade up to get one in the 2nd, that will be even more costly. This team had the 16th pick two years in a row, that tells you they are not set, not good. They have done nothing so far this draft to help them get better this season, and now, they cost them selves a draft pick next year. All of this while having RG signed, he may or may not stick. But it appears they plan to fix the line not by better line play, but by running qbs.... Oy
  22. Unreal. That is too much to give up for a player who is at least 3 years away from maybe helping this team, espcially when this team has some very specific needs. I know, many are saying how crafty Ponzy was last night, me, how crappy he is and am glad to see him go. I hope Hurst and Jackson turn out, but they look to me to be Troy Smith & Max Williams....
  23. Hurst is the same tight end Boyle is, sands the suspensions... They needed a Heap type at tight end, I wonder why it took them so long to make the choice.....
  24. I don't hate it, I prefer Gesicki, but hope he works out...
  25. Ravens pick- wow they took a long time to make this choice..... Hurst
