PITTSBURGH -- Hours after quarterback Russell Wilson officially signed his contract with the Steelers, the team traded 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

The Steelers will receive a 2024 third-round pick (No. 98) and two 2025 seventh-round picks in exchange for Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick (No. 120), sources told Schefter

  2. So Stanely's deal opened up $9.5 mil in cap space and, essentially makes him a free agent next year, with a void year added in for next, 2025, year.

So between Bowser, Moses and Stanley, they opened up what, $20 mil in cap space.

  3. Obj officially released, post June 1.Per Sports Illustrated

The Ravens will of course face dead cap penalties, as the piper must always be paid. (That's reportedly $2.767 million in 2024 and $8.301 million in 2025.) And this will figure to be a post-June 1 designated move.

  4. That would be fine, a year to allow the team to find a new runner. Look, you know I agree with you, you don't draft a runningback in the first round and you don't pay big bucks & a long term contract to runningbacks.

So we get to see if Mitchell can return to form from that injury and if he is the real deal. All while having a powerful runner in Henry while they also break in a new lineman or two. All of this on the cheap.

If they have to cut him next off season, not much dead money.

They can still draft a back this year, there are a few in the later rounds, let him learn.

  5. Bowser to be released according to Zrebec, saves $5.5 million so that along with Moses should save around $11 million total.

Interesting rumor floated by former Bengals tight end saying the Bengals are going to trade for Justin Jefferson. Man, between he, Chase and Burrow, they won't have much if any cap for any other players going forward.. but what a dynamic passing attack that would make

  6. I'm sure they will, Simpson was average at best, usually the weak link up the middle. Moses was aging quickly, and struggled with pass protection.

Good luck to the Jets who are relying on those two...

  7. Well, I was hoping he would take a pay cut, but this will have to do, from Fowler

The #Ravens and former All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley have agreed to a reworked contract, per sources. He was due $15M this year.   He now plays on less in base pay but has upside potential to reach or surpass that number. The $26.2M cap hit will reduce

  8. For the price and 2 years, he is definitely worth it. True, he may be on the downside of his career, but he has at least 2 good years left in him. Has he even reached the proverbial 3,000 carries threshold?

Teams will have to load the box to stop him, run blitz, linebackers stepping up first. This should open the middle wide, where Lamar is really good.

Short yardage, goal line, with him & Lamar, play action.

The Ravens were one of the best red zone teams last year, with Henry, they should be tops.

  9. Na, not a desperate move, remember, they tried to trade for him, and almost pulled it off, last season for the big push.

Sure, it has escalators in it to rise to $20 million, but he if reaches them, you could say this offense is unstoppable.

Yes, he is 30, but the contract is workable and short. I would be against it if it were longer than 2 or 3 years, but it isn't.

Resign Hill if possible, hope the kid comes back healthy from that knee, maybe draft a quick back.
