  1. It's all good Max, don't have any expectations and enjoy what comes along. There is a lot of young talent on this team who we get to watch grow.. I was being a bit sarcastic
  2. Time to start looking at the draft; what holes to fill with limited draft picks. With a tight cap and little money to spend, the drafts will be key.
  3. Yes well from your high mountain top we lemmings are blessed to see you post... If you actually knew half of what you think you know your eyes would be opened. Funny, a guy who played the game and played well for most of his career said today exactly what I have been saying for weeks about Lamar, the passing game and why the running game is inconsistent...
  4. I thought they did a fabulous job, Lamar had time for most of the game, Dobbins found room to run as well. One sack, no bad snaps, okay, one early.
  5. Well, what can you say? Another winable game, game that should have been won; lost. Defense played well for 3 quarters, then they went fishing, in a reservoir, where it is catch and release. I've never seen so many missed tackles in my life; a clear sign of exhaustion. Lamar, what can you say? If I say he played well I would be lying and if I say he played poorly, I am a hater, don't know what I am talking about. He did not see open receivers in the field, nor in the redzone, even in the last seconds of the game, with all day to throw he refused to throw to Snead on a short crosser with a 3 yard seperation from his man who likely scores the game winner. Nor did he see Andrews coming from the other side, also woth plenty of room to catch & score. I wish I could post the picture of the last play in regulation, but the file is too big. In it you would see just as I described. Go back earlier in the game when the Ravens kicked a field goal; Dez with his man playing 10 yards off, single coverage from the 12 yard line; Dez scores. Do we want to talk about his interception? Top of the route, the defender is ontop of his man, you don't throw that pass like he did, you lead your mn away from the defender. Play calling; Dobbins was killing them, getring into a groove and you take him out? Team discipline is still lacking greatly, offense, defense, special teams; this team is falling a part physically & mentally. I expected a loss so this is no big deal to me, this team has to many issuee to be a serious playoff team so there is no hope for me of them making the playoffs. I doubt they beat the Stillers on a short week after a very physical game.
  6. Yeah I thought Boz would get the start, a better center college wise, but guess not
  7. Skura benched, Mekari to take over at center
  8. Look for Dez to have a big day....
  9. Missing guys in the 2ndary, on the defensive line, and the bookies still have the Ravens favored by 6, hmmmm
  10. This is a great question. Let me point out one game, one play last year that comes to mind. It was a third down against the Bengals. Lamar takes the snap, takes two steps back. The Bengals are in zone coverage. Snead is in the slot to the right, running a deep out route, Andrews out wide running a to the sticks comeback route, Brown on the left doing a skinny post.. The safety to the power side is deep and, takes a step back at the snap. A linebacker is inside Snead as he runs his route. If this pass is thrown on time, Lamar had time, it is an easy 20 yard gain on 3rd & 8. Instead, Lamar pump fakes, the safety moves toward, not Snead but Andrews, Lamar scrambles for 9 yards and a first down. Sure, they moved the chains, ate some clock, Lamar did a Lamar run; how exciting. However, had he thrown on time to Snead, it's a bigger play and causes the defense to respect the passing game that series. All of this was clear presnap, the coverage, which route, if there was time, would be the best option. There was time, but Lamar either did not see it, trust it, or had preplanned to go to Andrews who was double covered by a corner and safety. Just one play, there are many others, sure, every qb does this from time to time, but....
  11. This is the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back for this season. I just hope I am wrong, but as you stated Max, too many injuries, too many issues, this game is gonna stink like a small bathrom after a foul meal poop. It is bad enough they have the Steelers to look ahead to on Thursday night, turkey night in America, that they have to face a talented desperate team that matches up well on offense and especially defense to the Ravens. This game will be a blow out, not even close that the final score may indicate, sadly.
  12. You have me confused with someone else Spen. The weather had nothing to do with his interception; it never should have been thrown based on the coverage. If you don't understand that, don't label me a hater, I'm trying to inform
  13. Should have had two picks, missed a few open guys deep sown field when he chose to throw short. Those deep passes change games, win games. Was he the reason they lost? No, not by him self, that is not what I am saying. You want me to grade out the linmen? i will, the receivers? i will, start a thread on them or any position. But we are talking about Lamar and what he needs to do to improve.
  14. I've been screaming play action for weeks, but that is not the main problem as we saw last night once again. Clearly he can only make throws that are right in front of him, consistently. The Pats ran mostly man and while Lamar had good numbers, numbers lie sometimes. If he can't beat man defense, this team will never win consistently any longer. Last year will have been a fluke; teams not ready for him, now they are and big plays disappear. Big games are still an issue, clearly.
  15. Look, the concern is still there; 2 passes outaide the numbers, one caught, one dropped. Other than that, nothing down the sidelines, nothing outside the numbers. Granted, those routes take time, and this line hasn't given him much. But the Colts were daring him to throw deep, single coverage on the outside; still no shots. Is it the line & the time? Is it the coaches not making those #1 in progession? Yes, up tempo worked, there were holes in the middle of the field for Boyle, Andrews, Snead, Brown on crossing routes. Yes, those plays eat up game clock, lead to long drives. But sooner or later this offense has to, will need a quick strike, and Lamar seems to be the only qb in the league who can't or won't make those throws.
  16. Hold the phone; no one is saying stop him from being Lamar, turn him into a more traditional pocket passer, if they are they are wrong. His mechanics are fine, he is used to throwing off platform, that is normal for him. I am saying, at least me, that he needs a better understanding of defenses, of making proper reads, of seeing the best matchup and YES, TAKR CARE OF THE DAGGONE BALL! Stop the carelessness in the pocket, just tossing the ball up when about to be sacked; take the sack. This is what Brown was eluding too after the game Sunday. Brown had single coverage on the outside with no safety help numerous times, yet no passes. Snead ( and anyone else in the slot) was matched up with a linebacker, a freaking linebacker. Boykin was also singled up on the outside... Make the throws, on time, see the matchups, presnap, properly go through the reads. If it is a zone, you know presnap who amd where to throw the ball.
  17. On the 4th & 3, at the goal line when Lamar gets stuffed on a qb keeper. I don't know if that was the call, but he had Andrews & Brown open on the right side, Brown to the corner, Andrews to the seam. Snead was covered by a linebacker and not likely to get the first down. But either pass to Brown or a tougher pass to Andrews which they have done before, is 6 pts. Again, maybe it was a qb keeper all of the way, if so if he just kept going to the right and put the jets on he gets the first down....
  18. There is no way for us to know for certain, let's start with that statement, shall we?! Afterall, we cannot know the play design, the order of options, nor even what his keys are... Now with that said, to this fan's eye what I see, especially when looking at the all 22... As I said in the other thread, it appears that either he does not know how to properly read a defense, but this I mean, look and see not just if it is man or zone, but what type of zone? Which side of the formation is zone or man, but also, what is his best option knowing the coverage, routes, match ups. Against the Steelere, when they went man, they used a linebacker to cover Snead when he was in the slot. This left him open often. When they went man, the left a single high safety, meaning either side of the field would be one on one on deep routes, a look or pump fake would move the safety away. So is Lamar just looking for Andrews over the middle, or who ever down the seam? Is he seeing the coverage and just ignoring it? He rarely throws timing patterns, when was the last time we saw a deep out or a comeback route? Timing is vital in man coverage, even against match up zone. If he can't read or make those types of throws, it limits the types of routes, which makes it easier for defensesnto defend against the pass. On the endzone throw to Snead to end the game, Lamar either didn't read the coverage right, or ignored it and wanted to force the ball to Snead. He had two better options based on alignment, Brown from the right side on a skinny post, DB was shading his outside. Or Boykin who had single coverage on the left, DB shadimg his outside. The Steelers were forcing all the coverage to the middle, which left plenty of room for either throw, but none to either Snead nor Andrews. The play was there to win the game if Lamar made the right read, then threw a good timing pass to either Boykin or Brown... This may speak volumes to where he is as a qb right now, and why "no one is getting open". But again, we are just fans, don't know his progressions, the plays..
  19. It should be interesting to see what they do about the next draft. If college ball is indeed cancelled for this year, even if they some how stupidly play in the spring, what happens to the draft? Players may rise based on last year's play, while many will fall because they lacked the chance to gain the experience, thus improve their play not having another season to showcase....
  20. A report just came out stating that 21 of the 22 horses killed as a result of injury sustained at the track had pre-existing conditions known to the equestrians though they "did not grasp the significance of major pre-existing lessions". Then they should be fired, really, they didn't think a bone lesssion would lead to a break? Give me a freaking break.... https://www.pasadenastarnews.com/2020/03/10/no-illegal-medications-found-in-states-investigation-into-horse-deaths-at-santa-anita/
  21. 2 more horses have died this week, at the Del-Mar track, 4 since Nov 6th. Now were I a conspiracy nut, I would say this was purposely a done to detract from that horrible Santa Rosa track. As I said in my other post, Del -Mar is suppose to be the safest track....hmmm
  22. I heard their vet the other day try to proclaim the track safe because the rate of the horses being put down at the track had gone down.... And the reporter let her get away with that crap. No wonder they will not close that track... Sickening On a side note, 2 horses were put down here at a track this weekend, considered the safest in the nation.
  23. I was just reading about it & about to post.
  24. Thanks crav, I've read a ton about that track and no one has brought this up. It makes perfect sense; the owners should pay through the nose or be forced to sell the track. Why this isn't getting more press is astounding, sad and maddening.
  25. When is enough enough? Crav, this is your wheel house, the "experts" claim to have no clue as to the injuries; but clearly this track needs to be shut down.. 34 horses in less than a year https://ktla.com/2019/10/19/santa-anita-park-in-arcadia-sees-34th-horse-death-since-late-december/
