  14. Na, I think this might be San Frans year, again, out of the nfc
  15. 4 is quite unusual
  16. Wiggins, a rookie cornerback, is the fourth Ravens player to be involved in a car crash this summer. The others were tight end Mark Andrews, outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and inside linebacker Josh Ross.
  17. Just saw that, car accident https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ravens-nate-wiggins-will-miss-sunday-vs-raiders-after-car-accident The Ravens’ rookie first-round draft pick has been ruled out for Sunday against the Raiders. Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins will miss this week’s game as a result of a car accident, head coach John Harbaugh announced today. “Nate was in a car accident a couple days ago,” Harbaugh said. “Looks like he’s not going to be able to make it to the game, so he’ll be out for this game. But he’s fine, he’s healthy, he’s fine, he’s just not going to be able to play.” Wiggins apparently was in the accident after practice on Wednesday. He missed Thursday’s practice with a neck injury
  18. Wiggs(neck) didn't practice, Isaac's (hamstring) neither and of course Van Noy, orbital bone break, all listed as questionable
  19. Mostly on one big run, but good for him. This is the proverbial get right game, for both sides of the ball. Fix the communication issues on defense, and along the offensive line. Beautiful weather is planned, get the munchies, sit back and relax.
  20. Who ya got? The Raiders are, well the Raiders, couple that with a team from the West Coast traveling East for a 1 o'clock games, Since 2000, West Coast teams playing in the Eastern Time Zone at 1:00 PM are 69-120 (.365 win pct). The Raiders actually have the worst record, according the NFL, the worst win pct in those games, in that span (.216)... They have Minshew at qb, not a world beater, but he can get on a heater and really makes some throws. Their line is not great, the Ravenss pass rush should feast. The offense, well, it will be a other good test for this young offensive line, the Raiders can be stingy, and rush the passer. It should be a win, one we can relax with in the 4th quarter. But, it is only game 2, should I repeat that, game 2.
  21. Dak, ouch at the last minute, season wise The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott have agreed on a four-year, $240 million contract extension that will make the star quarterback the highest-paid player in NFL history and keep him in a Cowboys uniform through the 2028 season, sources told ESPN. The deal includes $231 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN, which is the most in league history. Deshaun Watson's fully guaranteed deal with the Cleveland Browns was worth $230 million. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41176649/sources-dak-prescott-cowboys-agree-record-240m-deal
  22. Wiley made a great point, one we've talked about before; we as fans just do not know a lot of what goes into a play. No matter how well we may know the game, we can't know, as the story he told, what stunts were called on a play. Shoot, on offense, how often is the qb changing the play just from run to pass? What is the order of a progression for a qb on a certain play. There is so much we, as fans just cannot know no matter how much we might study the game. Yes, the all 22 is a great tool but there are sonny things it can never tell us.
  23. Love Marcelus Wiley, one of the few pod casts that I watch. MW on Lamar https://youtu.be/4_sgNcqAfr0?si=uLe3fOP8u9XtorO6
  24. Lamar said he was throwing to Bateman on a crossing route, DOUBLE COVERED, when he saw Flowers at the last second. The ball was intended to Bateman, who stopped after he made his break. Even if Bateman keeps going, no way that pass is completed. He admits that he sped up because Jones was being blocked by Hill and he was trying to help Hill out. That is he had waited a count longer, he would have fired it to Flowers. Interesting stuff. He also, because the tackle blocked down and both backers were in coverage, could have run to his right and made it easy into the endzone. It's all learning, for receivers, for Lamar, hopefully they learned to slow down. Last year they were great in the redzone, hopefully, and I expect so, it will continue this year.
  25. My question too, maybe they need to see if game experience for the big fella will work? As far as the defenese, there were growing pains with McDonald, hopefully that is all it is now...
