Prob only works against the Ravens, but hey, give it a try!
-
OL is the most important position on the field after QB. Secure them. The teams with solid offensive lines are always successful.
-
I wonder if Gaither will fake another back injury once the Ravens show up. lol lol lol
-
I'm assuming Zibs will prob return punts now?
-
I'm definitely not throwing in the towel, I'm just shocked, that's a tough loss. I'm always a believer in next man up, just really didn't want to see our best corner go down like that. Hopefully it's not really "turf toe" and he'll bounce back.
-
OMG how are people not pissed about this! Turf toe never heals in three weeks. This is devastating. He won't be 100% until next year if ever. That's frustrating, hopefully he can somehow manage the pain enough to make a push through the playoffs. What a hit. I find it funny how the reports on turf toe are always three weeks but it's never just three weeks. Similar to high ankle sprains being anything less than 6 weeks.
-
Wait what? Why is Webb out? What happened? Tell me this isn't serious cuz he will be absolutely necessary for a playoff run.
-
What's wrong with Vinny? I loved that guy, we should have never let him go!
-
I'm not much of a pessimist, however I would have to say with only three weeks remaining in the season, we're definitely in the habit of leaving points on the field. Will three weeks be enough to break the habit is the question.

Joe's stats just won't tell the story of what Joe is doing for this team and offense this year. I really like the Phil Sims comparison. Sims managed games, well, had a few big ones here and there, and always played big in the big games. Despite Joe's stats, I think he's having a good year.

Speaking of the hit, how many fines and warnings before a player is actually suspended? Harrison may be trying the patience of the league at this point. -
Ravens Can't Clinch (Yet), But Steelers Can

I've read the same thing. The Ravens are in the driver's seat in the AFC so long as they keep winning. We just have less games played against AFC opponents at the moment. That's why NE is the #1 seed. Last I read they were 6-2 against the AFC and we're 5-2 or something like that. That record may have changed, not sure how long ago I read that. -
If Flacco throws for 60% the rest of the way with his average attempts per game of 33, that would be 20 completions per game. He would finish the season 320 for 566. That's a 56% completion percentage. Joe is gonna have to finish the season on a tear to reach his career completion percentage. On the flip side, Joe's completions are going for bigger gains, but being realistic he'll probably finish with the lowest completion percentage of his career. He'll also probably finish with less TDs than last year as well. I'm not too concerned, despite the stats, I think Joe has really grown as a QB. I'm very happy with where he is at
-
The point is they're part of the game. The least dropped passes in the league were only like 13 or so. You'll also notice that the teams that are at the bottom really don't pass as much. Even if the Ravens only dropped 10 passes as a team, Joe is only getting 16 completions back. His completion percentage would be 58%. And, if we're gonna pass that much, we're gonna have drops. Papa also made a good point in that Joe would have had dropped passes last year too and still had that completion rate. I tried to find out how many passes the Ravens dropped as a team in 2010 and was unsuccessful.
-
According to this article we're 5th in dropped passes with 26. However Green Bay is 7th with 24. Aaron Rodgers has only attempted 408 passes while Flacco has attempted 434. Aaron Rodgers has completed 288 while Flacco has completed 240. Even if Flacco had every dropped pass back, he still wouldn't have a high completion rate. The problem is with his decision making and the play calling. They need to be more efficient in that regard. http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232

Wouldn't we have to lose twice for that to happen? That seems unlikely. Not impossible, but very unlikely. -
Joe's had at least 3-4 dropped TDs this year. He put it right on Torrey in the end zone. I know the defender was in his face, but this is the NFL, window's are tight right?
-
Yeah, but all misses before yesterday were from more than 45 yards weren't they? I think they may have all been from 50+ or something close to that. He's been money from 45 and under all year. Honestly, kicking in that weather sucks. Still, Cundiff needs to be able to convert, especially on the second because he had a chance to adjust. That's what made Stover so awesome, he always made adjustments for wind and field conditions etc. You would think that we would keep Matt around to pass that knowledge down. I'm sure Matt has just a small idea of what it's like to kick in Cleveland lol. I may be reaching, but I think he's had some expreience. haha.
-
I think Cundiff was a one game anomaly. He's never been an inaccurate kicker here in Baltimore. Those conditions yesterday were crap. He probably should call Stover and take some advice on kicking in crap weather, but otherwise, I don't see it as a major problem.

Ray Rice proved yet again that if given the ball, he produces. I loved the misdirection pitches yesterday. This kind of running game should be very effective for the Ravens especially after they get an initial push and have the defense worried about getting to the point of our attack. It seems the Ravens rushed all sorts of ways yesterday. Straight ahead, stretched it out a little, delays....it was awesome. Rice did all of that yesterday and only took maybe 5 hard hits. The guy is just shifty.
-
First they have to stop Ray Rice, which they cannot do. Flacco only passes the ball 20 times Sunday, Rice runs for 682 yds, and 8 TDs. Ravens 184 Browns 1 (haha)
-
Yeah! That's what I'm talkin about! Lol lol lol The final stretch starts Sun!
-
Cribbs is gonna lose it after the Ravens violate the Browns. Gonna be fun to watch.
