Scratch the Jags, because they signed too many free agent WRs to go drafting WR in the first round the very next year. Scratch the Bucs, because I think Bryant will stay home. Scratch the Eagles, because they drafted a WR in the first round last year. Scratch the Lions, because that'd just be insane... I'm not sure about the Raiders, because a new defensive coordinator/coach might want someone, especially because they're turning into a power running team. I'm not sure about the Colts, either. In my eyes, that leaves about five teams that may likely draft a receiver. We'll see.

I honestly don't know anything at all about Gooden's condition. He might be an afterthought by now.

And aside from that, Young was the QB...

Everything I've read suggests that Harris is a big dropoff from Mawae.

This has been on my mind for the past few days, and I'm starting to like it more than the WR idea: Laurinaitis has fallen behind both Curry and Maualuga in most prospect drafts (example, Mayock's: http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story?id=090...p;confirm=true). Think he or Maualuga (because Curry will go at the top) could be viable? That way we worry less about signing Scott/Suggs and keep the position solidified.

Crabtree and Maclin have both declared.

I'm arguing desire, not ability. However, the fact that he's coached in college for over thirty years exemplifies how he may be set in his ways and essentially invalidates that argument of one team in one year.

I do too, but evidence suggests that the man doesn't really even want it. I don't necessarily trust him with an entire NFL defense after only one season, either...

I'm six points back in my league, and he picked (I'm sure) Florida with a high confidence, while I had Florida as a low conference. I changed it to Oklahoma out of desperation, so we can only hope...

I don't think Mattison will be the choice. He's never been a fan of the NFL like he has college, and the only reason he came here from Florida was because of Harbaugh. Remember also that this is his first year ever coaching in the pros. Harbaugh might want him, but I don't think it's his job.
