  1. So Manning would only throw for 400 yards against that Broncos defense instead of 500?
  2. Flacco has been a sack machine at times, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Remember that he was sacked five times in the first half at Dallas, alone.
  3. There is absolutely no way that they will franchise AND keep Cassel. If he's tagged, he will be traded. Only the Yankees can afford to pay $30 million a year for two quarterbacks. And knowing Brady's rooting interest, they just might...
  4. Ooh. The glamour position. I bet he hated that. Witnesses who were on the other team. I'm sure you usually put a lot of stock into that, you sportsmanship expert. Yeah, I bet the CB had nothing to do with that. As if those five yard drops mattered. Who knew? McAlister did. Unless he's suddenly unable to diagnose whether or not he's able to run as fast as he can. That doesn't even consider the other reasons for his benching. Actually, Washington was only out for the final drive. And a grand total of one pass was completed against Walker's coverage (a 20 yard pass to Owens). The fact that I was merely comparing attitudes completely flew over your head. But, considering the matter, Walker has played well filling in for your player, and should have no expectations for the accolades you've claimed on McAlister's behalf. The fact of the matter is that McAlister's attitude is no better--in fact, worse--than Walker's. Therefore, your argument that Walker's attitude limits his skill and value, yet affects McAlister's none, is absolutely f*cking comical. I've never had much problem with your infatuation for him, but for the love of God, please get out of McAlister's pants long enough to see objectivity at work.
  5. 1. Yet he wasn't playing today. Hmm. Well, at least the player who was held his primary receiver to 16 total yards. 2. Well, he was. 3. How do you know? He was never asked to play it. 4. Again: how do you know that Walker ever did? There was no actual evidence of that. 5. And also let the Colts absolutely torch us, due to pure stupidity and ego. 6. Outspoken and uppity? That kind of sounds like you right now. I don't have any problem whatsoever with McAlister, but the fact is that your argument against Walker condemns everything Chris does and has done, as well (i.e. you claim that Walker taunts, but it's McAlister that has been called by officials multiple times in the past for taunting). More importantly, you overlook the fact that Walker, who came into the season as our FIFTH cornerback, has played well when called upon this season. Please hop off your unicorn, Been.
  6. And, to continue my point, wasn't a certain highly paid starting CB (wearing number 21) benched earlier this season?
  7. As Chris McAlister's biggest fan, you have made this the most ironic post in history.
  8. I wasn't pointing out you in particular at all. It's really a commonly held thought that the best defensive player (or offensive, really) should be from the best team, and I've never been able to comprehend that. If a player with 20 sacks on a poor defense and a player with 22 sacks on a great defense are both up for DPOY, isn't it obvious that the 20 sack player should win (ignoring other stats, etc.)? He's getting his sacks without his teammates' proper blocking, without the threat of great coverage, and things like that. It's just one of those things that annoys me. :P However, DPOY usually doesn't go by much logic. The "best all-around player" usually isn't the winner. It's usually the one with the most gaudy stats in one specific category. Ware definitely best fits that mold this season, and I think he'll be very high in voting. The media attention Harrison has received will undoubtedly help him, though. I don't see Reed winning it.
  9. Unbelievable. As bad as we all know both the Chargers and Broncos are, the way in which the division will be won is comical. The Broncos have completely given it away.
  10. They mentioned that during the CBS telecast, almost as if it was understood.
  11. I've never understood that. Isn't it better to be more successful on a bad defense? It's much harder to make plays when no one else around you can do so. If anyone's interested, Flacco will finish with an exactly 60% completion percentage, and 80.3 QB rating.

    Woohoo

I go nowhere without my cell phone. You're all old.
  13. Glazer says that Crennel will also be gone after a morning meeting.
  14. Savage just got fired, so let's not be too sure.
  15. Way too much disdain for Walker around these parts, guys. Not particularly deserved.
  16. I think it's still Haslett's job. ESPN (who I actually prefer to the tool that is Adam Schefter) reported this morning, before the game, that the players as a whole wanted him to stay.
  17. Williams, Johnson, Ward Can't touch Ravens RBs in fantasy. Too much of a gamble.
  18. I got the 2000 season playoffs on DVD, and I just finished watching the Titans game in the divisional round. 2000 was the season he emerged as a starting receiver (he was already KR/PR), because Thigpen was injured. In that game, he was injured twice (helmet to helmet hit and awkward leg landing) and came back into the game both times. The guy is a tough player, and I think we've definitely overlooked that over the last four years.

  20. Enjoy.
  21. I got a Flacco, too. I'll be wearing mine. I say stick with the McGahee, Crav. It seems like whatever jersey you wear brings that player a lot of bad luck. Keep that away from Joe!
  22. Having a good Christmas?
  23. I know they are.
  24. I'd prefer a heavy dose of Rice than anything. McGahee and McClain could both use rest, while Rice hasn't played in a month.
