  1. SCREW baseball. The Red Sox now have SIX starting pitchers, and all six of them are better than any that the Orioles have. This free spending garbage is too far out of hand, and I'm done with it. Go Ravens. (Yeah, John f*cking Smoltz is what it took to put me over the edge.) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3817694
  2. My Chemical Romance - Kill All Your Friends
  3. I don't know about the win total vs. quality win thing. Remember Syracuse. This is absurd, though. I mean, we all expected it'd be a fairly ugly season, but this is just ridiculous. Tyree Evans is leading Kent State in scoring, by the way... And BC lost to Harvard tonight after beating UNC, so I don't feel nearly as bad.

  5. I honestly hope Billick doesn't get a job. I like him and don't want to see him struggle, or succeed with someone else.
  6. Is not! I had her first. ;) I honestly do think he'll get a head coaching job, if he so wants it.
  7. I really wish he wasn't so worried about being a head coach.
  8. I'm just nervous!
  9. As written by Mr. Mike Preston in yesterday's Sun: I didn't bother looking at stats for the game, so I take it and move on.
  10. They sure are trying to get people onto the San Diego bandwagon. Look at the spread for the Steelers/Chargers game this weekend. It's absurd.
  11. You make it hard when I can't tell whether or not you're serious.
  12. I know. I looked at it myself before I posted that, because of what I said about the forecast from yesterday. I guarantee you that it will change once more before the weekend. Meteorologists know how to forecast the weather and tell you what's coming, but they rarely know what day it'll happen this far in advance.
  13. If you really want to break it down, let's say that--realistically--each team should receive 50% of the vote (they're pretty evenly matched). Take away the 50% the Ravens should have received regardless, and it's a 30/20 split. Considering that Ravens fans outnumber Titans fans on The Sun's site at least 20 or 30:1 (it'd be more if not for the game), the performance of the team this past weekend, and the apparent idea that Flacco has gotten better, and it makes sense. In my head.
  14. Something about Rolle that might be relevant is that, if you look at the statistics, two of his three tackles were of Ronnie Brown. I think there was a quote written after the game in which someone asked him what he was doing at the line of scrimmage so much, with a Rolle reply that he's putting it all on the line. For better or worse, that makes me feel more confident about his play, and about the team, going forward. A physical corner (that stays on the field, right BA? ;)) is a huge asset. Hopefully he doesn't go so far as to sport the neck roll he used to wear in Tennessee.
  15. That's comical, because early game previews yesterday forecasted mid-40s and sunny. I'll find out Saturday what Saturday's weather will look like.
  16. Go to ESPN.com. On the front page is a poll asking who will win the AL East. Nearly 50% of Marylanders selected the Orioles. That's the pudding, and it has some proof in there that polls mean diddly do da dey when subjectivity and homerism are involved.
  17. I was speaking in response to this:
  18. As soon as anyone decides to give a lick about the NBA.
  19. The comparison isn't even close. And I'm not really keen on all the "let's wait until the Super Bowl" talk going on. We aren't that good to be talking like that, folks. Whatever happened to using Festivus Maximus? Where's Billick when you need him?
  20. But he'll be back.
  21. I'm starting to understand why we always do so poorly in overtime.
  22. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/01/04/jets-to-interview-billick/ Sometime this week.
  23. No! Then the majority of the board would have to find something new to complain about!
  24. ...Kokinis isn't a coach.
  25. Kokinis was Savage's replacement when he left for Cleveland. Essentially, he's the "assistant GM." Savage was the Browns' GM, as Newsome is here. BR.com explains his job as such: If he left, I'd imagine DeCosta would take his place.
