TD! Great drive.
-
Beautiful pass to Boldin.
-
I was joking.
-
Facemask? Marginal call.
-
Got to kick the FG I guess?
-
Ricky Williams was open short and Smith was open as he cut to the middle farther down the field.
-
Wow, positive yards!
-
Nice pick.
-
Both sacks he has had the ball 4-5 seconds.....both sacks there have been open targets that he has missed. We are going to make the New England defense look dominant.
-
Well a FG is better than a TD. That might be insurmountable though.

I am not sure its hate, just people are not sold on him. I went on two trips to different areas last fall and almost to a person fans in the other areas were asking why Joe was still our QB. I am not saying they are comepletely right, it just seems to be a common opinion at least where I have been. I am sure what was viewed as whining last week did not endear him to people outside of Baltimore. I am sure its the same way with some media members. I do enjoy sports and the Ravens and if I didnt I would not come here or even watch them. If its not fun its not worth doing or paying attention to. Just because I am a fan and want them to do well and to have good players does not mean I think they are all great and above criticism. I wish I thought Joe was a good long term answer at QB I just do not think he is. It doesnt make me happy I feel this way. I do hope he and the team do great and win this week. I just do not expect it.

If its the only one he wins it is!
-
Yeah and Joe has more wins in his first three seasons that Peyton did so therefore Joe is going to be better at least thats what I heard from local fans after his first couple years. Unfortunately (fortunately for messageboard discussions) its a team game so its hard to figure out how many wins Joe would have on the early 90s Colts or Peyton would have had here in the past 4. Or to accurately figure out how many playoff wins Rivers would have if he had been here instead of the Chargers the past four seasons. Either way if you are trying to sell me on Flacco is better than Rivers because he has more playoff wins; I aint buying. Especially when you factor in how "well" Joe played in most of the playoff wins.

Thats not how I feel. Just because he is the best option right now doesnt mean he is awesome and I should think he is good when I don't. I am behind the team and I want him to do well, I just do not think he will and I wont pretend I do.

I did not compare anyone to Boller. I have said it many times I think a team needs a good QB to be sucessful long term. Just because a QB is the best a team has ever had does not make him a good QB.
-
1. Hopefully they are not good enough to stop the running game. Thats the only faint hope I have. 2. I have no confidence in that. Hopefully I am wrong on both counts.
-
Thats nice of him. I am glad he believes. Kind of reminds me of Ray's defense of Boller years ago.

I certainly agree the timing is wrong. I know Joe's interview was done in a joking matter but I also think he would joke about that if he didnt feel that way. So I can certainly understand how a lot of the national media and fans think he was whining.
-
I think a lot of its going to be on Joe because I think the Patriots are going to wholley commit to stopping the run and making Flacco beat them.Sadly I dont think he can. I expect 2 INTs and one fumble. Plus a ton of time in the pocket not seeing open targets before dumping in off to Rice. Why the hate for Ed? Just last week Joe was whining about not getting credit. I did not see anyone call him a big mouth or a whiner. And before anyone rationalizes Joes comments into not being whining, if Ben said the exact same things in the exact same tone most of us would tear him apart for them. I think Joe will get a lot of credit, even nationally, for his performance Sunday. I just expect it to be mostly bad.

Ed Reed visited with Adam Schein and Rich Gannon of SiriusXM NFL Radio...
Spen replied to Dunno's topic in Baltimore Ravens
In another article he questioned Joe's play. I agree with him but I do not like him saying it. -
Nope. I'd be amazed if we are within 14 points of them at the end of the game. Against that offense the defense can play well and still give up 24 points. While the Patriots defense sucks I expect them to commit to stopping Ray Rice and making Joe beat them. And I do not think he can. The only chance I see is if Rice runs wild and carries the team.

It was a win in the playoffs and I will take it. For the most part the defense was very good. On two drives they didnt look good but that was it. And really Foster is a tremendous player so he earned those yards. The offense was terrible. If Schuab or even Leinart played I doubt if we win. Really if Jones does not fumble the punt I am not sure we win even with Yates as the QB. I wont say Joe was bad because he didnt turn the ball over and he made some good throws but I also do not think he was good. He was sacked 5 times but three of them he held onto the ball far too long, his 'reads' were so slow today. One day one of his panicked dumps to Rice is going to get Rice killed. Ricky seemed to be hitting the holes better than Rice was today. But it was a win and we have another week of Ravens football.

lol I do not wear any glasses and I had a terrible time reading the last two quotes.

I think they will win Sunday because they are at home and they have played well at home. With their injuries the Ravens should beat the Texans on Sunday. If they do not then anger is justified. If Flacco has one of his normal playoff games, or one of his erratic games, or one of his confused and slow games then anger at him is justified. Its a tough profession and many of the players who fail or don't live up to expectations are nice guys so its sad in a wayfor them to be criticized so openly but it happens. For what it matters, I dont think Joe has progressed much and do not think he is very good but I cannot listen to talk radio and hear people bitch about him. To be fair though, just as many people that I talk to think Joe is great so I am sure it evens out. If they win Sunday no matter what happens afterwards I will be happy and satisfied. If they lose at home Sunday I will not be. Pretty cut and dry for me. I do not really see where all of the best overall team in the playoffs talk about the Ravens is coming from. This is a team that did not finish strong. Yeah they won 3 out of 4 but only played a half against Cleveland and Indy and they looked absolutely horrible against San Diego. I do not see any other teams left that lost to Jacksonville. Can we claim we beat ourselves? Maybe, but thats a loser comment that any losing team can make.

A comment and a question. Comment: Classy! Question: Wouldnt you like him to play well this week for the possiblity of a home AFC championship?
