Wish we could get off the field on a 3rd down...our defense might have the worst rate in the league on 3rd down.

The patriots ran all over the Colts, lets take a page out of their book. Spread them out and let rice run out of the shotgun. This seems to be our best running style compared to a power formation. I'm actually confident that we will beat the Colts. I think Cam tried a whole new style of playcalling agaisnt browns, alot of deep routes and it didn't work. We moved the ball well against the vikings who have a similar defense, we can do it again. Get pumped guys!

I would be confident in either Nugent or Cundiff.... Cundiff was kicking fine for the Browns earlier this yr. Nugent is young and is coming back off a leg injury last yr, I think Nugent could lock down the position if he can regain his form. Another guy to throw out there is the rookie kicker from Georgia, he was a final cut with the seahawks, but I think drilled every fg in preseason. I think his name was Caatu or something like that.

Why don't we bring up justin harper or even dwilliams? I mean try something, this shit aint working.

Umm...Chris McCallister. I think this all comes back to coaching. I mean look at the patriots and steelers, they go through cb's every yr none of them are big name shutdown corners, but they always play well and play as a solid secondary. I think are schemes are too easily for qb's to read. We need to incorporate some zone b/c our corners can't play man to man without committing a penalty.

I still think we should bring in Justin Miller, he was cut by the Raiders last I saw. He is a pretty explosive returner.

HAHA...totally agree. I am obviously an ohio state biased fan, but I've been watching jenkins for 4 yrs now and he is a great football player. Cornerback is one position where OSU does produce great talent and I think he is one of the better ones I have seen. Maybe he will be a better safety, but i just don't see the pt to not make him a cornerback. B/c he has a slow 40 time ?

I saw jenkins had the fastest time on the 3 cone drill. i don't exactly know what that drill consist of, but i bet that drill will be more beneficial than the 40. It sounds like its more about how shifty laterally and back and forth you are. I mean with ed reed back there, let them deep try to go deep on us. If jenkins is there when we pick, we better snatch him up. Plus Jenkins still looks fast on film. Put pads on these people and then you can really gauge how fast they are.

I just don't understand the hoopla with 40 times. Dj Moore looks so quick and fast on film, but runs a 4.5 so his stock might drop. I read somewhere about Mcshay saying he didn't like how Jenkins would always be chasing the wr along with him having a slow 40, means he should play safety. That makes no sense to me, CBs always chase the wr cuz the wr usually knows where he is going to be going. Shit, Fabian Washington ran a 4.2 but he is always chasing. Jenkins can make up for his slow 40 with his height and physicalness. Lets see what these guys run at pro days.

You were right about DHB putting up eye-popping numbers, he ran a 4.30 40. On a side note, Don Banks from CNNSI is saying he is getting rave reviews about Brian Robiskie, stated he might the most ready pro wr in the field. He also mention Nicks, has solidified his stock of being selected in first rd. Robo, would be a steal in rd 3.

What is the scoop on Derek martin and Pittman? I think MArtin has some upside and would like for him to seize a position. Pittman has never shown much IMO.

I think brown is solid, but I wouldn't pay him what he wants. We have can use chester, who grew alot last yr, then we got yanda and grubbs back. Find a cheap backup center to push chester for starter position and were on our way. Brown is not worth the money hutchinson got from the vikings. I rather find pay a cb, wr that is on the market than brown.
