Explain to me what how this deals with football.
-
Mattison was the lb coach. I think this move shows they are trying to keep the lbs happy, by hiring someone that they are familiar with. Prolly hoping this will urge the lbs to stay here in Balt.

Baltimore - Alphonso Smith - CB - Wake Forest

He has great ball skills, he attacks the ball instead of playing the man. I would take him in the 2nd rd, but not the first. -
28. Baltimore Ravens: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri

DHB seems really unpolised and raw. i don't think he can help us right away, rather have harvin. -

You can't compare elite nfl wrs with college players, take your own advice. -

Ok, this argument is officially going nowhere. You believe your shit and I'll believe mine. -
Agree with that, this draft is odd to me. Alot of people who could have came out last yr are falling into late first and early 2nd, which means we could be getting a steal. I think we still need to focus on BPA or trade down.

1. You don't know if Robiskie will be an elite wr or not and 2. Where you drafted means nothing in terms of who is elite and who is not. Robiskie would have been a first rd pick had he came out last yr, but since osu played pryor, who can't throw, at qb his stock has dropped. So its not like its out of the realm to compare an first rd draft pick to a elite wr. BTW, Robiskie is no way shape or form like anthony gonzales. That is prolly the least wr to compare Robo to in regards to his skill set. The only similiarity is that they went to OSU. -

Hey dude, stop being a tool and read what i wrote. I never compared robiskie, who presently is a college player, to Fitz, who is an nfl elite wr. I said that his skill set reminds me of fitz and if i had to pick a wr who robiskie resembles it would be fitz. -
Give me Lil animal over dj moore. I don't think we should stretch for a corner or wr at our spot. Maybe a trade back and aquire another pick.

Totally agree..... Helmet to helmet, regardless of intention, is still helmet to helmet. His hat hit Willi's hat, flag should have been thrown. Yea, it sucks for Pitt cuz he didn't mean to do it, but he still hit someone with his helmet. Do you think everyone means to grab people's facemask? But it happens, throw the flag.
-
No....I always thought gruden was an Offensive mind
-
Disagree, helmet to helmet contact is helmet to helmet. Whether he did it on purpose doesn't matter. From the rulebook...Nfl.com 1. A tackler using his helmet to butt, spear, or ram an opponent. 2. Any player who uses the top of his helmet unnecessarily. The hit bu clark can fall under both of these rules. He used the top of his helmet to hit willis. He also tackled through willis with his helmet. First thing he hit was Willis facemask with his helmet.
-
It was def helmet to helmet and I'm talking from a football fan (not a raven standpt). It wasn't a dirty hit per se, but alot of hits aren't dirty (its football). Ask Mark Carrier, he was flagged for many helmet to helmet hits doesn't mean he was a dirty player. It should have been a flag, Clark wanted to hit willis hard, but he led with his helmet. His helmet is what hurt Willis, which is why it should have been a penalty.

I'm probably going to be beating an already dead horse

This is the best post i've seen in awhile. We cant get a pass rush with our front four, steelers can. As far as stone, yes he made a boneheaded play on that, but everyone does. He actually has been a pretty solid pickup for us this yr and has played great on special teams. -
You want romeo crennel don't you...haha i kid i kid......What about nolan? Is he still available?
-
Willis running was alot bettter than fast willies. I thought he was running well, I'm not too convinced on Ray rice as a rb. He seems to be just a 3rd down back.
-
KR, WR, CB, DL. we need to get younger on D but still stay great. Find a good D coordinator too.
-
Once he learns how to make adjustments, he will be alright. Needs to learn better clock management, really puts oline at disadvantage when he hikes it at 1. Needs to be able to hit more throws in the middle of field. They need to get him a big playmaker, maybe a better te.
-
Suggs is the man...resign him
-
Strengths: Qb, Oline, Punter, Areas to improve: Dline (get younger, get peppers), Cb (find some solid youth), WR (need smith to improve, Dwill to improve or find a big play wr elsewhere). Look what fitzy did for his team today, we need a guy who can be like him. Question Marks: LB ( I say pay suggs, sign ray, bart can walk), RB(Willis - is he starter material, mcclain - back to fb?, rice - good 3rd down back)
-
How was Willis not defenseless? When your lookin back and catch the ball and then turn and get rocked in the helmet....How much more defenseless do you need? If he wasn't defenseless, he would have tried to brace for the impact.
-
Still should have been a penalty for leading with helmet....I've seen this called in other games, like the hit on boldin this yr.
