To beat a cover 2 you have to be able to look off safeties and make the post throw to the sideline or the seam route in the middle of field. Flacco still struggles at lookign off defenders, the lack of wrs could also be limiting his ability. The second half of the season, Flacco struggled with reading blitzes and finding the open wr as well as panicked in the pocket if his first read was covered. Flacco will be going on his 3rd yr and I think he will start to be better at these things, but he def needs some help in the wr department.

Flacco was bitchin at CAm? I was at the game and couldn't see the sideline very well, was this shown on tv? Cam passing scheme is pretty garbage if you ask me. Even when we were down 17 with like 2 minutes, the routes were still to just go beyond the first down marker....no route even went into the endzone.

Sidney Rice came out of nowhere this yr. Harvin and Rice both, berrian is not as good as Mason. If you look at Vikings in offseason you wouldnt think their wr core was that great. Ozzie might have been guilty on relying on one of the younger wrs(Smith,Williams, Harper) to step up and break out. I think Harper could still be a good wr in this league.

Cmac looked great against the Pats.....which could be a future playoff oponent. What other FA cb's are out there? I know Mike Mickens, a rookie out of UC, is on Cowboys PS. He was a solid corner in college and prolly would have been a 2-3rd pick, had he not blown out his knee sr yr. I wouldn't mind taking a look at him. Justin Miller is out there. I don't know how good of a cb he is, but he would def help on KR and PR. Can someone get an updated FA CB list?

Cam is not the reason for the bad offense...it comes down to execution. Cam didn't tell Willis to take the ball wide on the goalline, nor did he tell joe to force two passes to wrs that werent open. Flacco and the wrs don't seem to be on the same page. I see flacco miss open wrs and i see flacco looking and noones open. No consistency whatsoever.

Long gone are the days where we could rely on the defense to seal the win for us. We have a good def that will keep us in alot of games, but the problem with this team is offense. Our offense still doesn't score tds, has way to many 3 and outs & have no proven identity. This team is where it is b/c of the offense, we all knew the def would eventually fall from great to good. The problem is our offense is still avg which is why we sit at 6-5.

You cannot blame our defense for either of the Bengals game IMO. The game at baltimore, the Ravens were losing all game and if it wasn't for Rice's amazing td run we would have never taken a lead. Yea, the defense couldn't hold them but Flacco couldn't hit a wide open mark clayton to clinch the win. Not to mention our defense scored 7 pts for us in this game. The game at Cincinnati, Flacco looked god awful and the defense got bushwhacked it's first 3 drives of the game and after the D was stout.
