While I don't see him taking a pay cut, I think he will restructure. We'll see.

It's getting to the point where I need an accountant to understand all this at my age.

I'm surprised he didn't come back for a 1 year deal here, unless the team either wanted a 3 year deal or decided he was no longer needed.
That was my first impression too, but they voided the last year of his contract so maybe they didn't want him back for some reason or maybe that pissed him off?

They lost Jonah Jackson in free agency.

Looks like Zeitler's going to Detroit on a one year deal.

He is still on the contract.
Yeah, I thought the option was only applicable to the original drafting team.

I think 2025 they can ink Wilson to a dirt cheap deal again bc Den is on the hook that yr too.
If fields cant get reps how do you evaluate him?Well if they don't like what they're seeing with Wilson, they insert Fields and see if he can run with it.
But I think all that is not going to happen. I think Wilson still has a few more years and as you said, Denver is still on the hook for most of that money.
-
I didn't know that the 5th year option on Fields would follow him to another team. You learn something every day.
-
I think the Steelers will just wait until about mid-season or a few weeks after that to determine who their quarterback 'of the future' is going to be. If Wilson can still play at a high level, they'll ink him to a 3-4 year deal, and they'll let Fields become a free agent. If they feel that Fields is playing better or has the potential to do so more than what Wilson shows on the field, they'll commit to Fields long-term.
Strategically, it's a pretty good place for Pittsburgh to be in.

Tyler Huntley to Browns...no great loss there.
Whaddya think of the Wilson/Fields moves for Pittsburgh?

Ravens home page,
Somehow I missed it when it was posted. It's not there now. How does he become a free agent after next year?

I expect Vrown to get 1100 yds baring injury.
Well that's (injury) has been a consistent thing with him...but I agree, if he can stay healthy he could easily get over 1000 yards.

So Stanely's deal opened up $9.5 mil in cap space and, essentially makes him a free agent next year, with a void year added in for next, 2025, year.
So between Bowser, Moses and Stanley, they opened up what, $20 mil in cap space.
Tsyl, I can't find a reference on this...where did you see/hear it?
-
If Brown can't make it with Mahomes, he won't make it anywhere.
-
His poor stats and availability due to injuries were made up for what he contributed as a team leader. But, unfortunately, his career is just about over. $8 million in 2025, ouch!

Faalele grew better as the season progressed.

Tee Higgins wants out. Wish we could afford him.

Well, I was hoping he would take a pay cut, but this will have to do, from Fowler
Not that bad an option. I was hoping for a pay cut too but it takes two to tango.
-
Well let's just hope the rebuilt offensive line can open up some holes for him.
-
Queen to Steelers, harumph! That hurts.
-
BTW isn't Hill already with us?
-
I'm still not feeling a lot of love for this move. You're right about one thing though, if he hits the max contract value it will have been worth it.
-
Shakespeare aside , I'm not sure if this was a good move and I have to confess it stunned me. Was this a desperation move ('we have to have somebody and everybody else is gone')? I mean, the guy is 30 years old and has taken a ton of hits. Seems like they could have got a guy in the draft.
But as we used to say about his predecessor: In Eric we trust and I fly with it on faith for now.

They just brought Arthur Maulett back on a 2-yr deal.
