  1. The Ravens are capable of beating the Chiefs but it will require intensity of focus and ability for MacDonald and Monken to adjust on-the-fly. The Chiefs' defense is as solid as ours. Their offense is all Mahomes and Pacheco. We have to pressure Mahomes without letting Pacheco run wild.

A key to victory would be getting an early lead.

  2. I think it will be a close game, but I'd rather face Mahomes rather than the Bills with their 'automatic first downs' using the 'tush-push'! Allen is like a runaway horse when he decides to take off. As good as Pacheco is, I'd rather face him than Allen.

Right at this moment, I think the Ravens have the better team. We just have to show up and be fired up like we have been.

  3. Our defense was outstanding. Keeping the Texans to just 3 offensive points is quite the achievement when that same offense scored 45 just last week against the vaunted Browns defense. Roquan, Clowney, Madabuike, Green are having career years. Somehow I'd like to see us keep PQ and Clowney but I don't think we have the cap space to do it. Those 4 guys are irreplaceable, and next year's team is going to be the worse for them and MacDonald not being here.

Monken might be gone too...I'm hoping against hope that we can keep him too.

We're in a carpe diem mode right now, though. This is the most well-rounded team the Ravens have ever had and I'm really enjoying the ride.

    GO RAVENS!

  4. I'm glad they're sitting Andrews. I think it's wise. Likely has been outstanding. I think they'll Andrews next week though.

I wonder if our defensive strategy will be the same one we used against them in game 1. Show Stroud a ton of different looks and keep the pressure on him.

Here's hoping our 2 offensive tackles can keep the Texans defensive ends from sandwiching Jackson.

  5. I agree that the scheduled opponents aren't that bad, especially compared to this year. Sooner or later the fat quarterback contracts are going to come back to affect the Browns, Bengals, etc. as well as the Ravens.

  6. It's really good that Lamar is locked in. He has to remain 'in the zone' and hopefully the rest of the offense is getting the message. I think Roquan will keep the defense on point.

The current window for us is closing. 20 free agents coming up and not much cap space. It will be awhile before we have as good a chance to win a ring again.

    The future is now.
