Every man has his price. You can bet Elway will offer the huge house, cars, $$$$$....and lies. Still...why be a HC with an organization that will be years trying to find a QB? He knows he can't win this year with Manning. He watched everything go down the toilet with the QB in Houston.

You have to open this link and listen to the audio. Ray goes off....i mean, he loses it...publicly.

When healthy and 100%, Webb and Smith are more than enough. But they can't stay healthy, so the Ravens need another "Webb and Smith" to back them up and fill in when they go down. I don't view Jackson, Gorrer, and Melvin as starting corner material. Not in this pass happy league. They have Hill at safety. That's it. 1 guy. Stewart, Elam, Brooks, Miles..... OH!!!!!...of the second tier back ups.... KEEP ONLY THE PLAYERS WHO CAN TACKLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another day with no news on Kubiak to Denver. One or 2 more days of quiet on that front and I think we can put this baby to rest. Yea.... I think he's staying because he knows the Ravens have something rare and special for next year.
-
I think Kubiaks decision says 1. He's happy here. He likes the front office, coaching staff, players, the organizations relentless commitment to excellence, the facilities, ownership and John. 2. Good heath and less stress (if that's possible for an OC in the NFL) fit his needs. 3. He has a QB that he believes he can do great things with. 4. It's a great fit for him. He has that "Right moment Right Man" feeling. If you've ever been in the right place, at the right time, that your talents, abilities and experience are a perfect match for...then you'll understand how good and peaceful that feels. You don't want to move on. Money and Ego are not everything, and much of what I hear about Kubiak is that he does not have an over blown ego. 5. He says that he and his family like it here. 6. This is his choice. That is huge and does speak volumes. He can get several HC jobs. He knows it. but for the reasons above, he's not interested.

"it's 3 days since the Ravens season ended and not 1 player's been arrested yet."

Torrey wasn't top 50 this year but he did have 8 TD's. If the Ravens get DR then Torrey is the #3 receiver. That would be awesome but extravagant. They need to spend the money on the secondary.
-
True...but I think they are leery of Maryland players after Heyward-Bey.
-
Where's OM? Owings Mills? Can we say Dynasty!?! You know we're spoiled...playoffs 6 out of 7 years and looking real good for 2015.
-
That's too much money. Here's a great article by Preston on this subject... http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-ravens-column-0113-20150112-column.html

That was his best effort. That is all he can do by this time of the season. It's over in Denver.
-
Got to bring McPhee back. Suggs and Dumerville are ageing. They had an outstanding season...but let's not get caught flat footed if they get old and slow all at once...which could happen as soon as next season. Bring Forsett back. Draft a running back. Have Torrey check the market and then sign him. I think he'll be right price. I don't know how the find a #1 receiver. Maybe they get lucky in the draft because the great ones in free agency will be out of the Ravens price range. Obviously they need 4 new faces in the secondary. They also must get a pass catching, chain moving TE.

It was Super Bowl or Bust this year for Denver. The window is closed now.
-
No...that ship is sinking real bad.

Let me answer for papa... All wrong page throws and missed throws would not happen if Joe and Torrey played pitch and catch for 2 Saturdays in the off season on some high school field.
-
i know all about Unitas and Berry working out and that was evenings after practice. They had jobs in the off season. 1. There is more than enough opportunity for them to get down timing and chemistry during OTA's and Training camp....plus the 5 day grind each week between games (another 16 weeks worth). 2. What can they accomplish on some high school football field? In a few hours? There's nobody to press and defend or rush. How nice would it be for Torrey or somebody to blow an ACL stepping in a hole/divot on some non NFL field. 2A....and I don't want Joe unwinding and throwing all out until his arm strength is 100%. It would bee too cool for him to blow something out because he is not in shape. 3. Joe's been throwing the ball to Torrey for 4 years. The reps have to be in the thousands. Thousands of them. 4. Torrey has hit his ceiling. He's not going to get better. What you see is what you get with Torrey. He has a significant body of work to make it plain to see the weakness in his game. He'll never be a #1. He's not tough enough. He can't break press coverage. He has a limited route tree where he's an effective weapon. He disappears. 5.Yea...All that 2 hours on one or 2 Saturdays in the Spring can accomplish is to shut your yap that this is all they need to be great. If they don't do it, then this will be your great insight as to why Torrey drops passes, has trouble getting open unless it's a go route, doesn't see the ball, doesn't fight for the ball and still catches with his chest. 6. 4 Friggn'n Years of Torrey running the same route and Joe throwing the same pass...and a couple of Saturday afternoons in the off season will change everything. 51 NFL players got more catches than Torrey this year. 51. 42 averaged more yards per catch. 42. What kind of dent in these numbers do you see a couple of Saturdays in the off season playing pitch and catch will do?
-
The Colts defense sucks but they played their men tight. Jambed them at the line. A lot of press coverage and Manning couldn't do squat. The fact that he couldn't throw accurately helped. Let's see how this works against the Pats.
-
Let's finish what we started!
-
the Ravens better be deep. They have 29 pending free agents.
-
Nice explanation there dc. I have the feeling Belichek sand bag'd this and the Edelman TD pass all season to use just for this game. He had to find a way to beat the Ravens because they are his biggest opponent in the playoffs...and he did....just barely. Brilliant coaching.
-
OK. I didn't hear or notice any announcement...must have missed it like the Ravens.
-
So now we have a "Good Torrey/Bad Torrey". He has made so many fantastic, game winning plays. His presence forces defenses to play the Ravens honest...but he's not the complete package. He is one outstanding individual off the field and I really like him. I want him back...at Ozzies right price. Torrey will find it hard to get a lot of high dollar interest elsewhere because his game and skill set requires a QB who can throw deep accurately. Few of those kinds of QB's in the league.
