  1. Peterson got n$7.6 mil for playing in 1 game this year. DE Hardy got $13 mil for only 1 game played. Bowe $8 mil for 0 TD's http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/most-overpaid-players-of-2014-nfl-season/ss-AA8tpev?ocid=iehp
  2. I know...people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. But misery does love company.
  3. My guess is that they let him test the market. I would like to have him back but only at the right price. He is the only receiver the Ravens have who can stretch the field and who defenses have to back off and respect. That is a huge help to the offense. Snooze and you get burned. Plus, Torry is a high character man.
  4. I'm hearing 33-1
  5. He was almost the SB MVP. They had him on their roster in 2011 and let him go.
  6. Don't pass this up. The Ravens are due to be healthy and deep after the last 2 years.
  7. Now maybe what Cody's agent says is true and the fact that he's an NFL player made the county go all out on him because they know they will be under a microscope. Maybe Cody was too stoned and let the gator chew up the dog.
  8. It's the off season police blog. And not related to the Ravens, but Warren Sapp got busted for soliciting a prostitute. How the NFL kept him on their talk shows is beyond me with all the baggage he carries.
  9. I had a house full of friends and everybody was shocked. 1 yard line, Lynch...game over right? Stupidest play call in SB history. Hats off to Butler. The rookie did his homework and his head was in the game.
  10. On the final Seahawk drive when Wilson threw the ball up for a deep strike to Kearse, I was thinking it would get picked off like Joe's final throw. Incredible catch by Kearse. This SB is one of the all time greats...next to the Ravens victories...
  11. We'll be good with Trestman. We have a 7 deep O line..the line loves Castillo....Joe was sacked the 2nd fewest times in the NFL...4.5 ypc. Trestman has the pieces in place for good things to happen on offense.

Sacks are important but they are over rated too......so Donald averaged about a 1/2 sack a game. Big Deal. Mosely had to cheat deep and back off the line to cover short to make up for a terrible secondary....so yea...there were tackles down field....and he was out of position for a linebacker. If he's on the Cowboys or Broncos or Patriots he runs away with this award...but he's on the Ravens, and there are a ton of Raven haters in the press.

  14. Sounds like another reclamation project for the Ravens.
  15. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!
  16. fuckers.
  17. I bet he would if it got caught on video.
  18. This is a hard one for me. Defense wins Championships. I strongly believe the Ravens would have defeated the Pats If they had Jimmy Smith. I think the Seahags will hold the Pats to 10 points under their 29.3 scoring offense. I also think Belicheat will hold the Seahags to about 10 points under their 24.6 PPG offense. I think he can contain and neutralize Wilson. OK...I go with Belicheats Patsies.
  19. How many players were the Ravens away from being in this Super Bowl? I'm thinking just one. A healthy Jimmy Smith. With the 19 (?) players on IR that's one hellova statement. Now...it all changes for next season. Some players will be gone in FA. Some just let go. Some will fade due to age and mileage. How many short are they for next year?
  20. He tested positive....again. There's the Manzel circus....the Gordon circus....the Ownership circus...
  21. More food for thought on the offense heading into the off season. I don't know why the above article didn't address TE's.
  22. So what can we expect? Just some guesses and early thoughts from what I'm reading and hearing: Flacco's on board. Probably because of Trestmans success and that he likes to throw. Outwardly neither is a rah-rah guy which is good because that wears thin over 8 months....but both are fiery competitors inside. I love having Morningwhig as the QB coach. He'll keep Joe fundamentally sound. It looks like Kubiaks offense will remain the blueprint, but there will be adjustments based on personnel. There will be new wrinkles which I think is good...unpredictable. Trestman said that he'll learn the verbiage to make it easier on the players. What I'm worried about is the running game. Trestman is not famous for that. This team won't go far without a solid, productive running game. We saw that in 2013. My biggest concern is how well of a play caller will he be? Kubiak was excellent. And how quickly will he adjust during games? Next biggest concern: The O line thrived under Kubiak. I hope it stays that way. Then there are the usual off season personnel issues. Can Steve Smith turn out another productive season? Will Torrey and Forsett be back? Owen Daniels? What's he got left in the tank? He was a solid addition last year. Can Pita make a comeback? I doubt it, but we'll see. You need at least 1 very good TE in this league and I don't think the Ravens have one.
  23. I think he's just doing what you are doing with a different twist. You see the end of the world while dc's conclusions are much more sane.
  24. Yea...never should have taken Mosley or Upshaw....
