  1. I'll start with the worst case senario on this....Suggs will never be the same. It was Boulwares explosive first step that made his game. Once he was injured and he lost that then his production faded fast. I'm not saying that he's done...he just ceases to be Suggs and becomes Paul Kruger production-wise. That's the worst. He can come back 100% or anywhere in between.
  2. Not insane...just very wrong on Suggs. You must not watch him in games...just the other 10 guys. Suggs does it all. He's complete...pass rusher, run stopper, pass coverage, game changer, fearless, relentless and a team leader....his stats are astounding. He's one of the best...at least top 5 defensive players in the game. The Ravens are reaping the rewards of drafting him and you want to give him to somebody else. Why get rid of somebody who is in the middle of a possible Hall of Fame career? I think you want to trade any Ravens player who is good.... for what? Unproven draft picks. Get a bunch of bodies hoping they can do something as rare as Suggs does?
  3. 5-0! 5 outs to go!
  4. Another good point related to this topic... There's no excuse for being 19th. "Come on man!" The new juice has to come from developing who they have and more creative routes and combination packages.
  5. Ravens won't be adding any vet receivers. After TJ and Evans failures....failures that cost this team on the field...well..I want to see us stay young and fast at that position and try to grow our own. "Bombs Away!"
  6. the Ravens have a lott of beef there for Kemo to beat...
  7. I'd check the steriod connection there...heat problems...enlarged heart...
  8. I like the loyalty...trying to give him a shot, but I can't see him making the roster.
  9. Yea...saw the series and Peliu was an island they could have bypassed and let wither on the vine. Just read "Helmit for my Pillow" by Leipke {one of the men's life story they used in the series)...basicly his division, the First Marines got slaughtered there....something like 28 out of 1,500 weren't shot or killed. papa...is flags of our Fathers about Iwo?
  10. Hey...they beat the Stankies! I'll freak if they pull out a win tonight and go 2 out of 3.
  11. Just heard the news...tragic...he was a great player. I hope they do an autopsey and check his brain to see if concussions had anything to do with it. Somethings happening to the retired players.
  12. “I know there is a spot open, and honestly my goal is to come in there and try to take it,” Osemele said.

    Heads Up

Heads up to the News Feeds on the ER board. The Ravens are bringing in a good crop of UFA's.... Our News Feeds have information and projections on some of these players.... Defense: http://forums.extremeravens.com/topic/6289-ravens-insider-ravens-undrafted-free-agent-class-at-a-glance-defense/ Offense: http://forums.extremeravens.com/topic/6290-ravens-insider-ravens-undrafted-free-agent-class-at-a-glance-offense/ I'm loving it.
  14. Nobody's sweeping the Division this year.... It's a decent, brief synopsis from John Eisenberg. Love the bumbling Brownies...they draft Weedon and that same day they leek that they are trying to dump McCoy. They needed a ton of players so losing all those picks to trade up one spot for Richardson was a real waste. Even if somebody else moves in and takes him, there were plenty of offensive weapons they could have chosen...and brought in many more players to fill in an impoverished and broken down lot. If nobody moved in, then they could have had one of the top 4 drafts.
  15. Live in the "Now"... ....enjoy it. Garceau talked about going 8-7 over the next stretch. I'm thinking 5-10. Anything better and this team is turning a corner...maybe the beginning corner... "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." Winston Churchill
  16. Nice find 52! He's not going to get that wide open in the NFL. I still think he's a project, but he could work his way into that #3 spot in certain situations...and do damage if they double Torrey or Q. Hope he has a good camp.
  17. Then start a thread on it in the proper forum. A respectfull look is definetly worthwhile. Evaluating the teams in the AFC North is a must IMO. There is a logical reason to do this. Just look at what happened to our Ravens draft talk thread. It's trashed. Any complaints please contact the moderator of the Ravens board for swift, compassionate, level handed, fair, sympathetic, and just treatment.
  18. Preston gives the Ravens an "Incomplete". “There is a theme to our draft right now,” Harbaugh said. “We think that they fit our personality. They are tough, physical, hard-nosed, rough, tough kind of guys.” 2 3(35) C. Upshaw DE Alabama Love this pick...he's a top 10 player whom Ozzie got by moving back into the second round and gaining another pick. Huge value. He'll replace JJ with no drop off. He'll not only hold the edge against the run but he'll get after the QB way better than JJ...especially when Suggs draws the double team. Nobody runs on the Ravens this year. 2 28(60) K. Osemele OG Iowa State He's huge with the wing span of a condor. He's a tackle. Now they may play him at guard for a year like they did with JO but that would be it. He's a RT or LT. Expect to see him compete with McKinnie...maybe they put Oher back in McKinnies spot if McKinnie regresses and then put KO in Ohers RT spot. He can win a starting position if Reid or Harewood don't take a big step forward this year. OH...KO is strong as an ox. 3 21(84) B. Pierce RB Temple The North/South pounder they need.Smashmouther. 4 3(98) G. Gradkowski OG Delaware..I don't see him starting this year unless Birk wears out...maybe bu week 14...we'll see. 4 35(130) C. Thompson South Carolina State Another fast, hard hitter who will fill the bill of departed Nakamura and Zibby. 5 34(169) A. Jackson Here we go Special Teams. Got the return man and a nickle back all in one. 6 28(198) T. Streeter WR Miami (FL) Project...that's what I see here. 7 29(236) D. Tyson DT Georgia Same...project/special teamer. My grade is a C. Average. What can you do when you're drafting at 29? The board gets raided ahead of you, the players you want are gone.... but just remember...this team is stocked with excellent players...they didn't have to turn it around over night. Ozzie didn't lose a lot of picks trying to move up. He got value. The Ravens got better...and deeper. JO...KO...when they get their hands on you just give up.
  19. Good because contrary to scouting reports, KO is a tackle only. That should push McKinnie over the top thjis year...and needing money.
  20. OH Shit! You're a victim! The only way to stop abuse is to get help and talk about it. Victim services are available in every province, city or state...And here: http://forums.extremeravens.com/topic/6292-im-loving-the-steelers-draft/ Physicians encourage that victims to speak with them about their mental health as much as their physical health. 22. Meanwhile....quietly during the draft...the O's keep winning...10-1 over the A's. 13-8...still in 1st place.
  23. The hunt goes on....signing UFA's...
  24. Yes...you had a good draft. It's too late. Rtyhlssxbrrgrrr is aready a cripple and the Ravens secondary can handle anything thrown at them. Work just a little bit more on the reading comprehension skills...this is the Ravens board and you are hijacking this thread. Post your Steelers stuff in the ER Steeler forum.
  25. 02/22/2012 - TOP 10 BEST BETS TO PUT ON COMBINE FREAK SHOW: Tommy Streeter, Miami, WR: After a few years of teasing Canes staff with his potential, the 6-5, 216-pound junior had a breakout season in 2011. Streeter opted to leave early after his one big year, and with his size and exceptional speed, he has the chance to shoot up draft board this week. Scouts don't expect to see a guy his height so fast, but remember he's been one of the fastest men in a very fast program from the day he arrived in Coral Gables. (Two other UM speeders, Lamar Miller and Travis Benjamin also could've made this list.) Those close to the<p id="expandoContent">UM program are expecting some big things this week from Streeter, who has a chance to shock scouts with just how fast he actually is. Last year's fastest man in Indy, DeMarcus VanDyke, a former Cane CB who got drafted by the Raiders after he blazed the fastest 40-time at the Combine, told me a few weeks back that Streeter could duplicate his showing this year. - Bruce Feldman, CBSSports.com More *Tommy Streeter News Close Overview Out of high school, Streeter was also offered scholarships by Oregon and South Carolina but chose to stay close to home. Still, Streeter did not see consistent playing time until this season and turned in solid production with 46 receptions for 811 yards. He may fit in that "one year wonder" category but Streeter is a big body with obvious natural talent. Streeter is quite raw and is currently winning off natural ability. He usually wins contested catches and has deceptive downfield speed during his routes and after the catch. However, Streeter has been quite limited in creating separation and the routes that he succeeds with. He may not look like the typical slot receiver, but that is where Streeter is most successful. When facing off coverage or after moving in motion, Streeter can certainly win down the seam or in soft zones on intermediate routes. He is an instant red-zone target that can begin his career as an NFL team's fourth wide receiver and developmental project. Close Analysis Strengths: Streeter has great length which he uses to catch in traffic. He can high point the ball over defenders or reach where they cannot get to. He can break routes back quickly and flows well on crossing routes. Streeter shines on vertical routes, eating up cushion with long strides and getting downfield before DBs can turn their hips. His two best routes are down the seam and endzone fades, where Streeter can out jump defenders. His vertical is impressive and Streeter seems most comfortable plucking catches after leaving his feet. He has a great combination of size, athleticism and body control. In traffic, Streeter focuses more on making the catch than worrying about the hit he might take. Street flashes surprising shiftiness off the line and after the catch. His length helps when blocking on the edge as well. Weaknesses: Streeter can have trouble getting off the line, choosing not to use his length but instead absorbing contact or trying to run around it. His route tree is very limited, focusing on vertical routes or sitting in soft sections in the middle of the field. He lacks the foot quickness to create separation with explosion and could be more physical with his frame. For a receiver with a nice vertical that likes to leave his feet, Streeter catches quite a few passes with his body. He has yet to get the maximum potential out of his natural athletic ability, slowing down on crossing or outside routes rather than running full speed at all times. Streeter is still very raw with his routes, failing to get low when cutting and instead gliding to the catch point. Streeter only has one real season of production. NFL Comparison: Drew Carter, Raiders
