  13. STORYLINE: Battle of the Beltway! Also a meeting of strong-running, tough-defense clubs who are both in the playoff scramble. The Ravens are hot. They have won six of their past seven, scoring no less than 27 points in those six. Rookie QB JOE FLACCO (see Lenny Moore quotes above) has thrown 11 touchdowns against two interceptions and posted a 99.1 passer rating in that streak. “We have four games left and we need to continue to do what we’ve been doing,” says Flacco. “That starts with Washington.” Let’s see: a December night game outdoors? Could call for a rush attack. Both teams are equipped here, on both sides of the ball. The Redskins will pound the NFL’s No. 2 rusher CLINTON PORTIS (1,228 yards). He goes against a defense that has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in a league-best 31 games. The Ravens, with the NFL’s third-ranked rushing game (against the league’s No. 7 rush defense), packed almost 500 pounds of beef into their backfield last week with LE’ RON MC CLAIN (260 pounds) and rookie RAY RICE (200) carrying the load for a banged-up WILLIS MC GAHEE.
  14. NOTES WASHINGTON: QB JASON CAMPBELL leads NFL with 1.06 INT pct. (4 INTs, 378 att.). When Campbell has 100.0+ rating, team is 5-1 (.833)…RB CLINTON PORTIS leads NFL with 1,415 scrimmage yards (1,228 rush, 187 rec.). Has rushed for 472 yards (118.0 per game) & 3 TDs in past 4 vs. AFC. When Portis rushes for 100+ yards, his teams are 33-10 (.767)…WR SANTANA MOSS had 3 catches for 75 yards (25.0 avg.) in last meeting. WR ANTWAAN RANDLE EL has 27 career TDs (15 rec., 6 PR, 5 pass., 1 KR), incl. playoffs. Rookie WR DEVIN THOMAS scored 1st career TD last week (29-yard run). TE CHRIS COOLEY had TD in last meeting. Has 28 TDs since 2004, most among NFC TEs…LB-DE JASON TAYLOR is active leader with 118.0 sacks. Has 6.0 sacks in 5 games vs. Bal., incl. 2.0 sacks in last meeting (12/16/07 with Mia.). CB SHAWN SPRINGS had sack & INT in last game vs. Bal. CB FRED SMOOT had INT in 10/10/04 meeting… RAVENS: Club has won 6 of past 7…Team is 4-1 (.800) at home in ’08…In past 7, rookie QB JOE FLACCO (1st round, No. 18) has completed 112 of 187 passes (59.9 pct.) for 1,432 yards with 11 TDs vs. 2 INTs & 99.1 passer rating. Flacco aims for 8th consecutive game with TD pass. RB LE’ RON MC CLAIN leads team with 7 total TDs (6 rush, 1 rec.). McClain is averaging 87 rush yards per game in past 2 (174 total)…Since ’03, WR DERRICK MASON ranks 2nd in NFL with 510 receptions (TORRY HOLT, 544). WR MARK CLAYTON had career-high 164 receiving yards (32.8 avg.) on 5 receptions last week…Since ’03, team is 34-10 (.773) when defense posts 3+ sacks…Club has 5 INTs in past 2 & leads NFL with 20…Since ’02, S ED REED leads NFL with 37 INTs…Ravens have not allowed RB to gain 100+ rush yards in 31 games (longest current streak in NFL)…LB JARRET JOHNSON has 3 sacks in past 3 & aims for 4th consecutive game with at least half sack…S JIM LEONHARD posted 1st INT of 2008 last week.
  15. Giants end Burress' year, Pierce to play NFL suspends 6 players for doping Cowboys put 'Pacman' back on roster
  16. Let not leave out the great New England Patriots quarterback and our great Super Bowl WINNING offensive coordinator Matt Cavanaugh. Jack Del Rio got his start with the Saints with Mike Ditka. Mike Nolan got caned by the New York Jets, Washington Redskins and New York Giants. Why don't we can this Billick's Buddys that have failed? I want to pet the rabbit george
  17. I would think that 2 more wins and were in, one coming this Sunday Night.
  18. Mark hasn't been open that much and who was it that he was running down the field with. Even on his pass the CB give-up on Mason watching Mark. We played a very poor team, very. You think the Titans can take something from that Thanksgiving Day Game?
  19. Don't see it. I think they did a very poor job in the first part of the game with play calling. There was another team on the field and you still had to play them. There are some game where they use the Troy Smith thing to much and others time not enough.
  20. I'm with you on this. He has done this a few times, had a game or a few plays here and there, then nothing. Lets seem him do a full season of this.
