  1. Speaking of Clayton, what went wrong with him? His first two seasons was promising considering our QBs and OCs, but 2007 just terrible, 2008 again some promises late that season, but this season just awful and with no confidence. Obviously Flacco, Cam and health has to be a part of it, wondering if playing together with a similar type as Mason is another reason? And if we should get Mason back this season, Clayton has to go, if Mason is not back, I am not so sure.

When judging WRs in Ravens history, I am not forgetting Stokley, In Ravens nada, together with Peyton oops 1000 yards.

  2. At first I thought an uncapped year would screw us, but look at it this way. An uncapped year could be an opportunity for Bisciotti to open up his checkbook and sign Gaither, Grubbs, Ngata, Edwards, and anyone other of our deserving guys to long-term deals without having to worry about the CAP. If that is the case, we can then trade for a receiver and sign him to a long-term deal not worrying about the cap. It all comes down to how much Bisciotti wants to spend, and the impression we have received this far is that he trusts Ozzie to do whatever he wants to put the best team on the field.

Even if there was a new CBA, guys like Vincent Jackson, Brandon Marshall, and Miles Austin would surely be franchise by their respective teams, making them essentially restrictive free agents anyways. So while we may not be able to sign free agents in an uncapped year, the bottom line is that there will be a very weak free agent class anyways. Ozzie is going to be able to do his work no matter what the situation is.

For now I am with Max.

I am not sure, that is the case, their should be consequenses if 2011 will be capped again. The advantage is we can keep Clayton, Chester, Terry, Moll, DW, QS, Landry, F. Washington and Koch.. Except for Koch and possible Landry I would say the rest of them is hardly no brainers, for depth great though. Another good thing we could dump Pryce, McGahee, Rolle.. Then again why should we? They migth be better than most, well for a future capped year it migth make sense.

I believe Our situation would be fare better with a capped year, we are finally done with deadmoney (JO and McNair), our capsroom is pretty solid if they should make a deal, well it is probably not to be.

  3. From Ravens com, we have 47 people under contract for 2010, 5-12 young players with a slim change of making the roster.

17 RFAs most of them pretty much in the mix for next year. (Only eigth I think if they make it a capped year). Then there is the draft, so if it will be an uncapped season, draftpick from 2005-2006, would not be easily availble + two kind of tags. I believe FA will be booooooring. Unless there would be more trades???

We will have eigth FAs; Mason, KW, Tyree, LJ, Edwards, Bannan, Walker, Ivy. In an uncapped year we would have, both a Franchise tag and a Transition tag, actually one of those players I would consider using such a tag, the transition tag, Dwan Edwards.. Thoughts?

    As for draft/FA:

    Most positions seems clarified.

    Urgent needs:

TE; either one solid FA or a high draftpick

WR; one vet starter and one high draftpick

    CB; One starter

DE, LBer and safety depending of Ray and EDs health and FB and kicker is obviously other areas we should be considering.

  4. Oh, bull. :)

C'mon... I know nobody here really hates Manning. Even I don't.

But if Tony Romo or Big Ben or Tom Brady did that, we'd all be ALL over them for chickening out.

The rules are there to protect QBs... they are called the Manning Rules for a reason. We can't hit you that hard. We can't touch you knees or your head or even go close. So play the f'n game. If it was a free-for-all, whatever. But you're super-protected and all you have to do is throw the ball out of bounds.

I think you are unfair 350 pounds violence against little Peyaton.

  5. I forget which series... I believe the one that ended when Flacco's pass was batted-down at the line... as they broke to commercial, Flacco was walking past Cam and clearly gave him some lip.

Then when they came back from commercial, they showed Cam and Joe near the benches and Joe just going off (not entirely in anger, but clearly not happy). I remember reading his lips at one point saying "if they are there I can get the throw off" or something, while motioning his hand in front of him (downfield).

I think it migth have been after the first or second drive in 4th Q, either with a Heap or a KW incomplete..? If not it has to be the first pick.

Btw it is still odd when you see the name Stover with a score in the gamebook, and it is not a Ravens score.

  6. I talked about this earlier. A close loss would've made me feel sicker in the short term, because it wasn't drug out over a 60 minute game, but in the end I'd rather lose a close game because I could have a hopeful offseason. This way, I have no faith in our coaching staff, our 'franchise' QB, or our ability to fill our biggest needs (how are your two biggest needs the same two offseasons in a row? [WR/CB] Especially with the much-praised draft-team that we have?)

Yeah and QB, how long time took that, but every team have their needs.

Clots have some, Steelers OL since Faneca they have not been the same and they have hardly made some efforts to upgrade, they have suspect DBs and their DL.. five men at + 30, Cincy is beginning to have a offensive problem.. 85 is a FA btw, and Browns.. And Cards have some great DBs, and Dansby and Docket (spell), and giving up + 40 points.

  7. It was like our season with good a figth, some talent, penalties and coming up short, but at least not with a sensation that if or should or could or one or two plays were made. So yes they did something rigth! 32-33, with a FG in the last minute by Matt would not make me feel better.

  8. This game is hardly Peyaton against Ray and his defense, seems like one game peyaton has the advantage and the next our Defense, ex. last game and in 2006 our D did the job.

For me its first of all about coaching and our offense against their defense, seems like we have lost those battles time after time, and it is ridiculos how often our runninggame game after game against indy disappear.

For us to have succes, our OL and DL has to be on top, can they do that, we win.

  9. 2007 was a great year for the O-Line and our blocking schemes. We got Gaither, Yanda, Grubbs and McClain that draft/supplemental draft. Great job Ozzie. Now go get us some WRs!

+ Troy, Barnes, Burgess and Edgar Jones who also is doing a pretty solid job this season. six draftpicks, one undrafted and one suppl. pick. Oh and Willis now 15 TDs McGahee!

Yeah that last year of Billick, was unexpected, we thougth we would be a playoff contender, with all of those injuries we ended up in rebuilding mode at offense.

  10. One more game ball:

All those Ravens fans that made your voice heard at Foxborough!!

    five more game balls.

    1. Harbs for the first Q, for taking full control, and win the battle of penalties and turnovers.

1a Mattison, we still have a top five D, and when its playoffs its always seems to be even better.

1b Ozzie for getting this crew.

    2. Sugar Ray for being the best field general ever and always being young and hungry.

2a and Ray fucking Rice and double Mac for making this easy.

    3. OL and DL, At ESPN they had actually Pats OL+DL rated better than ours? Lalalalal. This was murder.

    4. Secondary.. oh btw ED is now six picks for six playoffsgame, and last time he met Peyaton he had only two picks, should have had three.. hmm Sugar Ray. And what about Frank the Tank, Chris Carr, Fox and Landry.

    5. Matt Katula, for silence.

Note: Joe Flacco 10/34 yds. And Brady 154-22 sackyds -95 interceptions yards = 42/37 yds.. less by one yard!

  11. WE ARE NOT LOSING THIS GAME! The defense is playing too well, Brady cannot get anything on us. Moss is as injured as Flacco is, and the Pats have no running game and cannot block for Brady. On offense, our offensive line and running game will milk the clock.

Agreed. Still I would feel a little better with some completions to Heap, Rice and the WRs though.

  12. Is it just me or are these announcers in bed with New England? Nance sounds like he's going to cry every time he talks about the Patriots.

Sorry for you, I have danish reporters who is in love with my men Gaither, Rice, McGahee, Reed and Ngata, obviously also a little love to BB and Brady, but not to much.
