oldno82 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Ravens' training camp is only 17 days away and counting!!
vmax Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It sure has been dead trying to find things to talk about. It's like this every July. I think the rookies report on the 21st.
vmax Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Yea...rookies on the 21st.....13 days... As is already well-known, the Ravens' report dates are Sunday, July 21, for rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans and Wednesday, July 24, for everyone else. Those dates pretty much fall in the middle of the nine-day flurry that accompanies the opening of all camps.Once again, Baltimore is one of 15 teams, nearly half the league, that is holding camp at its own year-round facility.A lottery held through the team's Web site is being conducted that will allow 200 fans per day to attend the sessions, while the same three stadium-scale off-campus practices will be held again this year (Aug. 4, U.S. Naval Academy; Aug. 11, M&T Bank Stadium; Aug. 18, Stevenson University).http://www.pressboxonline.com/blog/6128/Leaguewide-Training-Camp-Opening-Dates-Revealed
oldno82 Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Rookies and quarterbacks is good enough for me. 13 days...less than 2 weeks!!
vmax Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Rookies and quarterbacks is good enough for me. 13 days...less than 2 weeks!! Me too!I remember being outside the hotel watching players check in....that was good enough for me. McAlister rolling in a huge flat screen tv....Jamal in his monster truck.Remember Goose landing on the field in a helicopter in 2001? I'll never forget 1 play...I was standing maybe 15 yards away. In 2000 they handed some rookie RB the ball and Sam Adams steamed through the line unblocked and leveled him. Hit him like a tidal wave. It actually was scary because I don't know how you survive such a hit. The guy was no good after that.
deeshopper Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I remember being able to go to training camp lol. Right!
Tornado700 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Crave- I remember too. But, it seemed that each year, it was harder and harder to see the action. Deep down inside, I think the team wants to practice and train in private. OK by me as long as it pays dividends.

Tornado700 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 We got some monster autographs at training camp, I finally have a place to hang my Ray autographed jerseyI'll trade you my Jamal Lewis autographed jersey for your Ray's.
vmax Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 We got some monster autographs at training camp, I finally have a place to hang my Ray autographed jersey I have almost everybody's from the 2000 SB team. It was easy to get them back then because the crowd surrounded the whole field and the players walked around it signing their names. Lot's of room and arm space.I didn't have to knock children over and out of the way like you do. Don't forget rm52...he was at camp everyday. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/0ap2000000136915/Sound-FX-Ravens-win-Super-Bowl-XLVII
