Calling for Rex's head

They're calling for Rex's head.

I saw this on NFL combo last night and couldn't believe Rex put Broadway Schmo in the game in the 4th quarter behind 2nd and 3rd string players. Not after how horrid Smith played because that guy is LOST.

You put in Simms. Make him the sacrificial lamb.

What we saw was exactly why every HC in the NFL yanks their starting QB when the 2nd string takes the field. They will not risk losing their QB's in a pre season game.

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan needs to be fired.

No really, fired. This is not reaction trolling. I’d actually really fire him before Week 1 if I were Jets general manager John Idzik.

Playing veteran quarterback Mark Sanchez in Saturday’s fourth quarter, behind a second-string offensive line, after their only other viable option, Geno Smith, had absolutely proven himself not ready for NFL action feels fireable. But for a coach with a football HR file as big as Rex’s and a coach who barely avoided getting axed this offseason, this feels last straw-ish.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Jets went into Saturday night seeking clarity at the quarterback position. By halftime, they had it. Rookie Geno Smith flunked his audition, leaving the starting job to Mark Sanchez. That's when Rex Ryan made quite possibly the worst coaching move since Marty Mornhinweg won an overtime toss in 2002 and elected to kick off.

Ryan made an irresponsible decision, summoning Sanchez from the bullpen with 11:21 remaining in the fourth quarter of a preseason game at MetLife Stadium. There was nothing to be gained by putting Sanchez behind an offensive line filled with backups. It was all risk, no reward, and it blew up on Ryan in the worst possible way.

The coach might have fired himself, because his quarterback situation went from questionable to an absolute mess. Sanchez suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder, and Smith, who threw three interceptions and took an unnecessary safety in the 24-21 overtime win over the New York Giants, isn't ready to take over the offense.

Didnt know about JJ, hope hes OK, I like the kid...too bad he wears black and yellow,

Secondly, whomever laid him out for the gold stars, gets one because this most likely will cost Toe Monster his job, and secondly, he gets one because Sanchez is an ass for going in against players that will be stocking shelves at Wal Mart in a week...

Has nothing to do with rooting for an injury, its about applauding Stupidity, twice!!!
