thesteelhurtin Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 The steelers have signed Heyward-Bay to a one year deal. Considering they only had like 350k to work with this must be another extremely friendly team deal. I like they signed a bunch of guys with low end guaranteed money. I don't know if they will go WR in the first now but they still could. Right now they have AB, Wheaton, Moore, DHB, Moye, and Justin Brown. That's isn't a bad group of WR and now they have a guy that can blow the top of the defense even though he has trouble hanging on to the ball. Quote
deeshopper Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sorry, thought you welcoming a douchebag to your team (DHB). Quote
cravnravn Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm still lmao, he's a bigger bust then Ryan leaf Quote

If he is on the field you have to account for him and his 4.23 speed. If he is used as nothing more then a decoy to open up the underneath for Brown, Moore, and Miller then he has value. Like I said they can cut him and lose nothing from it. The same could be said about all there signings. They aren't giving out guaranteed money anymore. They have learned their lesson. A player must now earn his money. Who knows maybe it finally clicks for him and then this looks like a great deal and if not nothing is lost. Quote
tsylvester Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Hard to argue with this one. If some receivers had his work ethic they would be HOF players. Speed yes, poor hands and gets bumped off routes easy, not as bad as he used to though, he worked hard on this, on the field and in the weight room over the years. Try as you might though, some people just can't catch. Low risk high reward. Quote

I like it but I still think the steelers go wr or Ebron in the first. How awesome would the combo of AB, Evans, Wheaton, Moore, and DHB be with heath at TE. Or AB, Wheaton, Moore, DHB, and moye with Ebron and Heath at the TEs. Yeah they would never all be on the field at the same time but it give haley/Ben a lot of different options. Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Not a bad pick-up, right price. I liked him coming out of Maryland but being drafted where he was drafted was way wrong. Al Davis doing. People wanted to see more out of him due to where he was drafted in a very poor class at that. In that class he should have been a 2nd round pick at best. Who has been his QB in the past? Quote
