Spen Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Has anyone seen Orphan Black? We were bored the other night and so we watched an episode because we heard it was good. So far we have only seen the first 5, and it is good, but the actress is fantastic. Quote
dc. Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Is this a racism joke... Because it's not funny unless you-know-who says it. Quote
Spen Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Lol, nope its a real show on BBC America. A girl starts running into others who look just like her. I'm only partway through so I don't know why yet. The show is good, the actress plays multiple parts and carries herself differently with each one. She's fun to watch. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I am in on Crisis but it looks like NBC is going to cancel it. Quote
cravnravn Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I'm glued to intelligence, pretty good show..ever noticed how the cast from Lost has went on to star in other programs? Quite a few from Lost has went on to bigger roles. I think I even seen Hurl e y in a cameo appearance Quote
oldcrow Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I enjoyed RAKE on fox and they are cancelling it pretty hard core scenarios beastiality tri Quote
Spen Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 I like Greg Kinnear but have never seen the show. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I enjoyed RAKE on fox and they are cancelling it pretty hard core scenarios beastiality triYeah I agree. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I am looking. I know he is in the running but I don't see anything out yet. Quote
oldcrow Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 is that official Spen? you making prediction? I was thinking they might move it to LA since, butt I don't see Colbert going out there imo why not Craig Ferguson? maybe he is to foreign for the audience? didn't care for Piers Morgan after Larry. IMO Quote
oldcrow Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I enjoy Sethhonestly haven't really watched much of Fallon more a Jimmy Kimmel personCatch Conan someenjoyed Dave over Jay always a lot of times is just if there is an interview or guest I'd prefer to see. if Colbert goes Papa Bear Bill will be mad.LOL Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I saw Craig is a long shot. I like him but I am not sure CBS would want him. I hated Larry and his softball questions. Quote
Spen Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/10/showbiz/stephen-colbert-david-letterman/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 Oddly enough I saw it first on a site called Zap2it. 10 minutes before USA today or CNN had it. I like most of the current crop of hosts, I just dont watch much anymore. Up until switching jobs last year I watched a lot of them. I think Letterman is a genius but has been phoning it in a bit for a few years. I think Colbert is great. Good choice IMO. Craig is goofy (I mean it as a compliment) and has the most conversational of all talk show interviews. Edited April 10, 2014 by Spen Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I hated Jay. I love Fallon and Kimmell. http://on.wcvb.com/1i5gJLYIt just came up on FB. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I think Dave has been hanging on until Leno was out. Now that he sees Jimmy is doing so well he knows Keno can't do what he did to Conan. Quote
Spen Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 I hated Jay. I love Fallon and Kimmell. http://on.wcvb.com/1i5gJLYIt just came up on FB. I hated Jay too, The worst part about Jay is I used to really find him funny. I thought his guest appearances on Letterman were hilarious. His show though, ughh... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Jay was so great. He was smart and edgy. I have had conversations about this with people. Whne he was subbing in for Johnny I am guessing NBC wanted him to tone it down to not show Johnny up. I think he lost his edge. Once he had the show I don't think Jay got it back. Also he didn't bring on stand-ups. I think he was scared that someone would do what he did to Carson. Quote
Robjr83 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Colbert should be a good safe pick for the network. I was hoping they'd go a little out of the box...idk could you see Chris Rock doing it? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Would Chris want to? I am ot sure he would. Quote
Robjr83 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I guess you have to find the right combination to make a good late night host. Chris had a good run on HBO, but got away with tons more do to it being on cable. He may not have wanted to do watered down comedy. He's my 2nd favorite stand up comedian behind Carlin. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I still don't have Chris up with Pryor, Kinneson, or Bill Hicks. He is very close though. Quote
Robjr83 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I guess its a generation thing.... Rock was big when I was growing up in the 90'-2000s. Pryor, Murphy and even Kinneson were before me. My only memory of Kinneson is on Married with Children when Al died. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I caught the end of Kinneson. I didn't see Delirious until way after it came out. I just have gone back to see what these guys from the past have done. Of this generation it has to be Rock, Dice, Black, Hart, Louis CK, Chappelle, Patrice O'Neal, David Cross, and Roseanne. Quote
