Picking up where they left off.........

Some of the Ravens’ key players aren’t ready to take the field as training camp opens this week.

The Ravens placed six players on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Saturday, including outside linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil, wide receivers Steve Smith Sr.and Breshad Perriman, running back Trent Richardson and cornerback Jumal Rolle. Some notable players returning from injury who were not placed on the PUP list are quarterback Joe Flacco, tight end Dennis Pitta and cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Will Davis, indicating they are ready to go for the start of camp. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/team/roster/breshad-perriman/d435480d-35dd-4903-964c-6b8d46808923/

I'm at the point right now, where I'm thinking we can't count on these guys this year.

Here's an update on all the injured Ravens and their current status....

Well, it sure doesn't make me optimistic. Suggs is supposed to address the media on Wednesday. I think Dumerville will play this year but the rest have a lot to overcome and not much more time to do it.

Max- these regular oldie but goodies that are on PUP, they are all just about ready to go. Ever think that maybe they just don't want to be out there hitting everybody in this 95 degree heat? They all hate training camp. Take my word for it, they will all be ready to go on Sep. 11. All teams do this. Ray was a regular at this game.

I hope that's the case and it would be smart too. I can see Smith needing more time. Not sure about the rest.

Are there any updates on receiver Breshad Perriman?

Zrebiec: “Nothing definitive. He’s rehabbing after having his left knee scoped six weeks ago. … Partial tears can take about 10 to 12 weeks to heal. Obviously, Perriman’s issues last season when what was initially believed to be a day-to-day knee injury morphed into a season-ender prove that it isn’t prudent to speculate on when he’ll be ready. The Ravens seem optimistic that Perriman will return in time to be ready for the regular season, but that’s hardly a given.”...http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-726-Top-Five-Quarterbacks-Ravens-Will-Face-In-2016/3eaf2f65-5202-493a-895e-e8006d4f8ca0
