this may be a stupid question but on the roster under the defense there are positions "rush, Will, Mike, and Sam." What is that?

Sam is the strong side linebacker (usually during a blitz). Will is the weak side linebacker. Mike is the middle linebacker. Rush isn't nearly as common a term, but it's applied to the linebacker who (get this) rushes more often than not; they're usually the hybrid DE/LB types.

Considering that McClain is a FA next season, I'm sure we will find a spot for McLaughlin should he prove that he is a candidate to be our starting fullback next season.
