vmax Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 That was great.Wallace has impressed the hell out of me as to his commitment to being a Raven.Let's hope that things are finally getting in sync between Joe and Mike....like next Sunday Night! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I would not waste the money. HE to often doesn't perform. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 He is worth the money, good guy, plays hard, good role model for young receivers. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYards/qualified/false/count/41He is #58 in receiving. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/mike-wallace-5942/ He costs $8 mil. I would not give him a raise to stay. Actually I would lower his pay. I think last yr was an anomaly. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 There is a lot that goes into his numbers, from Joe being hurt/ not accurate recently to the line that can't block long enough to unzip your pants to the play calling/ design.... They have no one else, the likelyhood they get a top receiver in the draft ready to go is now nil. The short list of wide outs willing to come here cheaper is shorter than my memory, wait, what were we discussing? Oh yeah, can I get fries with that burger? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 I don't see them being competitive next yr. A full rebuild with young guys is what needs happen. If they don't get started on it the future looks like the Giants now. Quote

If they don't get started on it the future looks like the Giants now.Oh I fully expect them to be better. Those young defensive players are getting the playing time that will make them better next year. Yanda will be back, some of the young linemen like Skurah, while not grear this year, got plenty of experince this year as well so I expect the line to be a bit better. Great? No, Jensen is terrible but the front office loves him for some reason. The running backs are set and more than adequate, cheap too boot. Do they need to over hall the front office? Yep, you know where I stand on that issue, I think they need two offensive tackles, replace Mosley, Web, Suggs, yep. Need a real receiver amd find a real tight end? Yep, get Joe's replacement, Yep. But the base of this team is here and young... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Will Yanda ever be the guy he was? He has been often injured the last few yrs. He is an old player now. The issue is not the D. It really wasn't last yr either. The offense straight blows. It has for yrs. By the time they fix it some of these players will be gone or old. This really does look like the way the Giants looked a few yrs ago.Like was said months ago. The Ravens are one of the oldest teams in the league. I think it was about 15 guys over 30. Quote
