tsylvester Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 $30 mil per year... $150 mil total  Is he worth it? Sure, great qb until the 4th quarter of playoff games.... But give him a defense and watch out... I think, as we have talked about for years now, the league HAS to make cap exemptions soon, yes? This is nuts. Rogers, who has won the big game and for me is a better qb, is going to top $200, I would bet.  The Falcons have agreed to terms with quarterback Matt Ryan on a five-year, $150 million contract extension with $100 million guaranteed, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported, via a source informed of the situation. The new deal runs through the 2023 season and will make Ryan the first player to average at least $30 million per year.http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000931322/article/matt-ryan-falcons-agree-to-fiveyear-150m-contract
tsylvester Posted May 4, 2018 Author Posted May 4, 2018 According to Espn, in the last 15 years no team has won the Super Bowl while paying a qb 15% or more of its cap...
tsylvester Posted May 4, 2018 Author Posted May 4, 2018 Wish I did, it was mentioned on Espn during the Get Up show this am by the stat guy. Side note, the show is terrible...
