Not to many players and not a ton of dead money this yr. I can't remember when it was this small.
oldno82 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Yes. That's surprising to me too. I thought there would be more dead money.
papasmurfbell Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 Like I said every post. How is Pitta's deal frustrating? He took a giant pay cut before he blew out his hip again. That should be a much larger dead money problem now.
GrubberRaven Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 If I answer this am I still stalking? Pitta's production was great and was paid accordingly, then his health went to hell. While yes, he did take the pay cut, the amount of money made was not in correlation with recent production.
papasmurfbell Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18974503/baltimore-ravens-tight-end-dennis-pitta-takes-25-million-pay-cut-stay-team This gives Baltimore an additional $2.5 million in cap space in 2017 and 2018.Don't let those pesky facts get in the way of your innate theory. I guess you would rather the dead money be 2.5 mil more.
tsylvester Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 2.5 in cap space yes, but 2.2 in dead money, they signed a player with a bad hip, an injury that most if not all never come back from. They should have cut their loses and they would have $4 mil more in cap space this year....
