oldno82 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 when the Ravens end of season press conference will occur? I imagine after Harbs gets his extension...but maybe not? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 They still have to go down to Steve's place in Fla for the powwow. Quote
vmax Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 The latest from Mike.... Team officials have yet to bring Harbaugh, 56, out for his end-of-season news conference even though it ended Jan. 6, and there have been no updates about owner Steve Bisciotti’s annual end-of-season news conference. oldno82 Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) V-e-r-y interesting. I wonder what this means??? Edited January 18, 2019 by oldno82 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 They will not do it unless they have an extention worked out. If they can't get that maybe Mia or Cincy want him. Quote

oldno82 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 Then I guess that's not the reason they haven't the end of season presser with Harbs and the conference they have held with Bisicott and and the GM they've had every year. But it still sounds unusual. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 It doesn't usually happen immedietly. When the contract is inked I suspect they will have the presser soon after. Quote
vmax Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 The Baltimore Ravens and coach John Harbaugh are reported to have reached an agreement on a contract extension that would keep the coach in Baltimore past the 2019 season. Per ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the team and Harbaugh have reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension. A source near the negotiations told ESPN's Adam Schefter that there is "some lawyer stuff left to do" before the deal is made official.......https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/john-harbaugh-agrees-to-contract-extension-with-ravens/ar-BBSt3Sm Update. They had to get this ironed out quickly as John needs to hire more coaches. Having an extension will help with that. Everybody wants some job security....except those who hate their jobs. Quote
vmax Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 What do you think Jaimison? This is a reward for turning a spiraling Ravens team into AFC North champions and giving a vision for what to expect from new franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson. This is a strong vote of confidence for the best coach in team history and for a leader who has the NFL’s best postseason track record over the past 11 years aside from Bill Belichick......He has a Super Bowl ring, 114 victories (including playoffs) and a reputation for getting the most out of his team despite injuries, the lack of game-changing playmakers and uneven quarterback play.....NFL history has shown an extended run of success comes when teams have cornerstones in place at head coach and quarterback. The Ravens are hoping they have their franchise quarterback in Jackson. But Baltimore already knows the commodity it has in Harbaugh, which is why a recommitment to him is the best move the Ravens will make this offseason.......http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/48412/extending-john-harbaugh-is-one-coaching-decision-that-makes-sense Quote

Maybe looking at the XFL, restaurant management, or close magic. Quote
oldno82 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 Ravens' website reports annual meeting of Bisciotti, Harbaugh, DaCosta, and others took place at Steve's home in Florida last week. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Then it is imminent. Prob next week. If they dont get it doen then after the SB. Quote

vmax Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) Ravens coach John Harbaugh has signed a contract extension through 2022, the team announced Thursday.Harbaugh, 56, and the team reportedly agreed in principle to an extension Saturday, but the length of the deal wasn’t known until Thursday, when he finalized it, a team spokesman said. Harbaugh will meet with the media at 11 a.m. Friday....https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-john-harbaugh-contract-extension-20190124-story.html 4 years and that makes sense for both parties. Bichiotti doesn't get into a Billick situation. John is now one very experienced HC after all that he's been through. You can't put a price tag on that. Steve gets to see if Eric and John can pull off this rebuild and lead this new roster to the Promised Land. If that doesn't happen in 3 years, then he can try another tactic.John gets security and to keep his family in one place. He's happy here and committed to the Ravens organization. The players win. They believe in Harbaugh. The fans win too. 587 HC's have come and gone since John came here. We could have been on that carousel. Now...he's got to win. The 2019 Ravens have to be better than the 2018 team. Edited January 24, 2019 by vmax Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Andy is very experieced and I would get rid of him. Harbs learned to suck at Andy's foot. Quote
vmax Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I like Andy. Andy is a very good HC....yet......Andy looks good right now because of Mahomes. Any HC would look like a genius. He's been a HC a hell of a lot longer than John who has more playoff wins and a Super Bowl trophy. If he's so smart then why didn't he use a time out for his D at the goal line? They were gassed and Burkhead simply walked in.TD wins it. FG and they are still alive. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 So when he had Smith at QB he looked bad? Who said Andy was smart? He should have slowed the game down when they got the ball with 3:30 something left and eat the clock, It was 4 down territory at least til fg range. They rolled down fast gave NE way to much time. then he had the ball in range fir the tie with 16 secs. He only takes one shot at the endzone. He had 11 secs to go one more time. Again Harbs learned poor game mang at the foot of Andy. Quote
Spen Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Yeah, I agree that both Andy and John are good coaches. Lucky that we have a good coach here. 4 years seems good to me. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Just like Billick stayed the length of his deal. Quote
Spen Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 You make less and less sense each day you fucking loser. Harbaugh's contract extension is four years. I think that's good, that's all I said. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 I believe Billick had 3 yrs when he was fired. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Oh and one who has such a shitty memory is the real fucking loser. Quote
Spen Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Nope, you're still not making sense you fucking loser. Quote
